A lot of you guys think that the DO and BB are to small compared to the older modulars. therefor they buy 2 or 3 set and make them bigger. I have another solution! take down a level of the older modulars! and you even have spare parts for other mocs! here are my results:
-
great idea! i like the look although i think they are a bit to big for a go-kart especially the engines but still i love the look and creativity
-
I agree. But i could not find a way to mount anny rally lights the way i wanted any other way then the new car has it. And i did not just want to copy that part. Altough that is just awesomly perfect

What was your first major City/Town building?
SollX replied to exon_from_youtube's topic in LEGO Town

thanks for your comment. Feel free to copy any part of my mocs. it is great If i can inspire someone like i am inspired by the mocs i see.
-
thanks. I have one big issue about the new wheels.. they are to narrow. they stay inside of the wheelarches.
-
I recently got the new rally car, and i was immediately inspired to build one my own. And with owning the 6634 shell rally car when i was little, it had to be an homage to that car. although i used modern building techniques i think i managed to get an classic Groupe B rally racer look here is the result. let me know what you think by the way, i made the new rally car a little bit different than the original. i think this looks better and moor realistic.

then have a friend, family member or anyone else buy one for you. :P I think the price here in the Netherlands is way to high. to bad :(

[MOC] Building a glider airfield: designed & built a small control
SollX replied to bjornkeizers's topic in LEGO Town
Looks good! very recognizable. living in the flevopolder myself i sometimes come across a glider airfield some times and this could fit in nice. great size. it could have been transported there by a city scale truck. -
nice one!
-
every picture eccept for that tan one has white bricks.. you can see in the detail pictures that it had white walls
-
I think it looks awesome. altough it seems a little "less" than the other modulars No... it's our drug dealer... NEED LEGO!!
-
nice job. I like the original white wheels better, but thats just my taste I Love the blue buggy and the lights of the black. i do'n like the big wheels
-
great job, looks much better then the original. maybe 2 yellow 1x1 plates under the rolbar would have made the lines even better
-
cool how you made it a verry modern looking hotrod
-
haha no not quite a Ferrari. :P i just tought it would be funny to put the Ferrari logo there
-
Legocitycustoms inspired me to build my own hot rod. At first i was buiding a red one, but it was to clean. and so i made it into a rusty Rat rod. Its small but loud and rusty, Meet "Rustbucket"

Thanks all the bricks i had to add are mostly the black in the building, and the gray pieces for the pavement. Feel free to copy some of my ideas if you want to.

I Wanted to make a modular out of the bikeshop and cafe set.
I soon found out that i needed o add other bricks to get the right result.

so i used some polybags an other separate bricks appart from the set itself

I used the detective office as my main building style so the modular would fit richt in with the others.

I hope you like it.

Thanks.. I wanted to make it look like a utility vehicle and i think that worked out -
This is my latest mindstorms project. It is programmed so it wil not drive off the edge of a table. completely build from set 31313
-
Hi As a physics teacher i got ask to set up a Lego mindstorms project. As an AFOL i said yes immediately I started with te 31313 set just to get known with the building and programming. After building Track3r and R3ptar I wanted to make a useless machine. I ended up building JK brickworks "Ultimate Machine" and started to play with the programming of it. His instructions where a big help learning the program. But still it wassnt a project of my own. I wanted te build a useless machine with tracks. And program it so it would do what i wanted. this is the result! Exept for the switchmechanism, which i adopted from JK's model, it is my own creation
