  1. i think the highly sought after sets are 8275, 8043 and 8110. Other large sets (like 42009) are bought for the high parts count. I am starting with the 42009, and i'm now putting my lego sights on 8043 or 8110.
  2. It was, and still is, technic for me. But other sets that did interest me back then were the 90's trains, castles, and pirate ships.
  3. i will be keeping mine collapsed, to save space on the cabinets.
  4. Thanks dr_spock!
  5. no senna tribute? :) and that excel creativity and skill.. over 9000! :D
  6. i'll get mine in about 2 weeks.
  7. dang.. 8275 is hella expensive
  8. nice. which software are you using?
  9. i wish they had somehow filled the rudder and tail section, instead of leaving them bare and open.
  10. thanks for the fast replies guys! 8043 - i've actually been looking at this a few days ago. I could definitely use those tracks, LAs and more PF motors. But i think i won't worry too much about RC, not yet at least. my problem is to find a cheap seller/store. 8258 - cool, looks like a lot of useful parts in there, might take a closer look 8110/9398 - both are hard to get by, especially the 9398 i believe. and if it's even available, i bet it would be too expensive
  11. I'm looking to rebuild my lego collection. And i'm starting with the 42009 Crane MK II. What other sets would you recommend that contains the most used\wanted parts in case I would be building MOCs? I'm not really going for the colors at this stage, i'd be content with just having the right assortment and quantity of technic parts to make proper MOCs. Thanks guys!
  12. where do you guys get your lego sets? i've tried searching through sulit but the ones in there are way too overpriced. i'm particularly interested in: -Technic -Train Sets -Mindstorm (maybe )
  13. yes sir, just added them a few days ago. thanks! no mistaking that Technic is my favorite theme in lego.
  14. it's nice to see i'm not the only one from the Philippnes in here :D
  15. Hi ! My name is Kim,29 y/o, and i'm from the Philippines. My first set was the Lego 8042, which was eons ago. That was followed by various small sets (browsing the various lego databases on the net brings back memories ). I also remember having that technic figure, which I can't remember where i got it from. I'm pretty sure 8042 didn't came with one, so it must be on another set. I also had the old Technic motor and battery box, which I also can't remember where i got it from . I stopped when technic shifted to those robots/disc throwers kind, which I didn't find interesting at all. :( The command center sets during those times were cool tho, but those were super expensive and we can't afford it :( Time has passed and i'm now an Engineer, and I've always been a technic kind-of-guy. A few years ago the 8421 set caught my eye, but i was already late to the party and it was (and still) expensive on ebay or amazon. So that's definitely a no. Then just a few weeks ago, my parents had the chance to go to the US and I was like "this is my chance to get something worthwhile..". So I looked up on the net and see the current sets from Lego. And you might have probably guessed it already. i saw the Lego 42009! I was grinning with joy as this was the perfect replacement for the 8421! .. And little did I know that it was designed by the same person. :) So yeah, i'm now waiting for them to get back here and start the monster crane. :) Sorry for the very long intro. I'm looking forward into being part of this community and learn new things from here :)
