    Well, what I do is just put the wire through the 1x2 hole. it fits with no extra room and works just fine ;)

    Oh Zepher, I know about Bricklink :P I'm just trying to build things out of parts from the Hobby Train 10183 and it doesn't have that many of the same pieces. But thanks for the "suggestion" :D

    Hello again! This time I've brought you something a bit special, A locomotive of my own type! I don't know if these exist or not, but I made a crocodile style steam locomotive! Here is a full view of it: As you can see, it is not that big. Only enough that it can hold one minifig who is driving it. Speaking of driving it, here is the controls! Well, it really Isn't that realistic compared to real steam locomotives :P Here is it turning: I also made a coal car from a similar time which I'm pretty proud of: Here is a side view of it. The problem about LEGO tracks are the tight turns so the 4 wheel design does not cope well on turns: That's about it! Feel free to critique it!

    Well, about the switchers. I'm a bit like JANGBRICKS because I want to have the switcher be as small as this: And that is a bit impossible to do with PF :P

    Thanks for all of the responses! I've been wanting the Santa Fe Super Chief and all of the cars for a while. But at $200 or more for just one car, it is insanely expensive! I was also thinking of getting the metroliner but since it does not come with the regulator, it is a bit annoying when you haven't bought any of 9v trains. I'm guessing LEGO did that because they probably thought that people who were buying the metroliner already bought a speed regulator for another 9v set. So they did not include it. But that is just a guess, so it is probably not right :P. Oh, I want to have 9v because I'm a huge fan of diesel switchers and it is annoying and impractical to use PF for that.

    Yeah, the nose is pretty hard to make. Hey, could you help me with it? How do I get that whole window section to be flush with the rest of the train? Because it really looks kinda bad.

    Hey guys! I've just made my second MOC, this time it is an engine! The GNER HST 125 to be precise. I'm pretty pround of it because it is my first LEGO train engine MOC. And for my first one I thought that I would choose my favorite train And here is the LEGO version: I had trouble with the front because it uses SNOT. Which I'm not that good at: The reason that it is black and red is because I'm only using pieces from the Hobby Train 10183. And here is the back where you can adjust the I/R receiver: You can take off the top to access the batter box too: So, that's about it! I'm open to critiques!

    Well, I have the lights and battery box. But I got the battery box from eBay and it is so corroded that I can't see the contacts altogether. And it is the turquoise rust and not just crystallized battery acid. I've been trying to clean it up but it just won't work :,(

    Thanks guys! Well I was never planning on making the light blink. But I said that it was'nt because you can't really do that without some sort of custom device for PF. Thanks for the comment but I''m not using a light brick (but I wish I had one). Rather, I'm using a PF light and that is a bit annoying because I have an extra light that I have to hide.

    Hello! this is the first MOC that I've made. It is a box car with the color scheme of red and black (because I made it with pieces from the Hobby Train 10183). Here it is: It is a bit longer than the hazardous waste car from set 3677: As you can see, I crammed a battery box, I/R receiver and lights which turns out to be a mess of wires. So it has a remote-controlled red light in the back that sadly, is not blinking like it is supposed to :(. I also put some detail into the railing and a brake "wheel": So, that concludes my first MOC! I'm open to any suggestions that anyone has to improve it!

    I wasn't expecting to have such a long response as what you did. I will be sure to contact you when I get into making steam locomotives (I've never made one before because I'm really into diesel electrics and have built many of 'em). And I desperately need a 9v track and motor for making practical switchers/shunters. So until I get those, sadly I will not be into steam locomotives. Thanks for reading! Wow! You really captured the look of that train! I'm not the best at building steam locomotives but the same cannot be said about you! Keep up the good work! ;)

    By the way, here is a little suggestion I have for you. I've noticed that the wheels bow outwards because of the weight so I would make the axle connecting the two wheels instead of one for each wheel. But as always, it is a suggestion after all so you could always not do it, so you don't have to do it if you don't want. ;)

    Thanks for replying :D. I think that you should do some type of french train (I'm not too keen on the french) that fits the theme. Oh, I know! Maybe you could do a SNCF 231G 558! Well it is slightly green, but you could make it black or grey. :)

    These are great! Just two things. First, They look a bit rough in the pictures. Are they supposed to look like that? And Secondly, how exactly do you make them?

    What is the best 9v train to start with? So far I have tons of PF and the old R/C trains and want to start somewhere. This is my first topic so might as well tell some things about myself. I'm a huge fan of LEGO (especially trains). And have made a few MOCs.

    This ship is a monster! So how exactly does it fit on a track? Does it hold on to the outside of a 6-wide track? Well then it would slip off because the wheels are inverted 6x6 dishes. or is it just for show and can't go on a track? Also, are you going to build and engine in this size? because that would look simply epic. Great work!

    The color is just beautiful, I have never seen anything quite like the amazingly built engine. Also, I've always thought that 8 stud wide trains fall over more easily than 6 of 7 stud ones. Is that true?

    Wow! I really like the fences to the construction zone and how they look so crude (I mean that in a good way). Also, is that layout 9v?
