LEGO Star Wars 2018 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!

Liking the ski speeder and Ach-To sets. The trench and tower are what they are. May have to build a moc. That hut is very nice and simple. Not a big fan of the battle pack but will buy at least one. Im may have to start paying people to get rid of the amount of first order crew figures I have. -

No one knows. But its highly doubtful to be related to TLJ. Most likely BF2 or just creative license. Interesting note. Lego provided Star Wars Explained copies of both the Brickheadz two-pack and the Sandspeeder for give away. Yet, still no official announcement of the sandspeeder. -

Except he has the quartered circle decals on his helmet similar to Pops Kravish. -

Everyone should probably note that the Sandspeeder was listed as a 2017 Dec 1 release by Stash2Sixx. Maybe it's just a late vendor exclusive and not part of the 2018 lineup. -

Marketing teams initially, I believe, and fans wanted it. Now it's done intentionally in pre-production specifically for the fans. I don't recall the names Shoretrooper, Chicken Walker, snowspeeder or cloud car actually being mentioned in the films. And this set is unlikely TLJ and even if it is, Lego is not responsible for the source material, so I don't see how it's lazy. Most likely, given the odd release window its a Battlefront tie-in set. Expect $40 USD, $50 CDN. -

I like the new sandspeeder a lot. More EU sets and comic-based sets! Should have included a third or fourth minifigure, however. I am also disgusted that the Rebellion is going around shooting moisture evaporators. Some hard-working Lego moisture farmer needs those for moisture collection and the Rebellion is destroying their livelihood. Shameful. -

Yea, the red helmet belongs to Jon D. Branon in ANH and the other is a Tierfon Aces helmet seen in TFA but also seen in Lego media Droid Tales and Freemaker Adventures. -

Don't think this is common knowledge, as it is near impossible to see the astromech head behind Wedge Antilles in ANH and I'm not sure LEGO did this on purpose. HOWEVER, there is a reason to purchase that Tatooine Battle pack twice: once for R3-T2 and the other for Wedge Antillies' astromech at the Battle of Yavin. See picture below. I'm probably going to purchase another red/white astromech body and throw the head on top. Picture is taken from Angelfire's astromech collection website. -

No credible Intel but it didn't appear in the retailer catalogue, so we can take that as we may. -

It could be from Battlefront II. -

It is not confirmed but I highly doubt Wuher the Bartender would come in the any other set. -

Looks like Ematt got a promotion as well. Check out the rank pattern. Looks to be General Ematt now. -
Fair point. You should email customer service and give them pointers to pass on to production. I'm sure they could benefit from your expertise. Realistically, thousands of moulds, hundreds of sets, think about it. They have a preset amount of capital moulding the Lego pieces for the Millenium Falcon, sorting different pieces into the appropriate bags, manufacturing the boxes, etc. They don't just flick a switch and turn all assembly lines into a new set. It takes a lot of work to set it up properly. But you seem to think it's easy. So like I said, please let Lego know how little they know about there own production.

I was worried there might be dissenting opinions. Luckily, we are all on the same page. ;) Upon closer inspection, the uniforms are different...very slightly in style excluding the obvious colour differences. The light blue pilot is very similar to blue squadron but has more open space above the flight vest and wider vest straps on the shoulders. The green pilot is similar as well but there are definitely small differences. So small, I'm surprised LEGO created a new design, if these are real. I hope that Jon D. Branon and female pilot faces are real, so ai can have Wona Goban and Dorovio Bold in full flight gear! -

Both pilot uniforms are just recolors and Rey and the A-Wing pilot look oddly cropped. I'm calling fake. -

I'm in the same boat. I prefer minifig-scale UCS sets or playsets. However, I would really like a New Hope Star Destroyer UCS with some exclusive characters like the Imperial Navy Commander. Think it would also be very nice on display. Can remember where it was but Lego teased the UCS B-Wing same way as the millenium falcon before it was announced.

There should be 1-3 retailer exclusives. That set number may be one of them. -
[MOC] First Order Tie Interceptor based on 75101
Brickweiser replied to Kozikyo86's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I like the colour scheme. Special forces would definitely utilize the interceptors. Also like that the wings aren't too long and how steep the slope of the upper and bottom wing segments. Well done! -
Corrected ;)

I'm thinking you may be right. Canadian Prices are: $40.00 for Confidential 1 (transport pod) $65.00 for Confidential 2 (Walker) $100.00 for Confidential 3 (TIE) $130.00 Confidential 4 $140 or $150 for Confidential 5 It all depends if my local Walmart is going to have BB-8 set, so confidential 4 could be BB-8. Tags were out but no set names or numbers.

Even insiders are unlikely to know exact specifics as they're probably looking at preliminary images or being fed information they do not directly see. However, considering one of the rumoured characters in the pack, we can probably assume the era. My recommendation: patience. -
Referencing parts per price ratio is a very narrow way of deciding if a set is a good deal. I shouldn't have to explain any more than that. Just take a look at the variety of parts in your lego bins.
