  1. That would explain the 30 red bricks available to unlock. I counted only 29 adventure worlds in Year 1 and Year 2.
  2. I agree on that front. I really hope to see an original cut of A New Hope. The tatooine scenes are just terrible to watch at this point. however, I do have a soft point for the original. 1) empire 2) A New Hope 3) Rogue One 4) The Force Awakens 5) Return of the Jedi (I like the second half only; the dialogue for the whole movie is pretty bad though) 6) No I won't number the prequels
  3. I wonder if Patty Tolan's hair would be too much or work good for his character.
  4. That's true regarding unrealistic expectations. We do have that against us as a core group. I've been seeing a lot of discussion regarding why shore troopers were only seen in Rogue One and never in the OT... hmm ... yes, why were they not on Hoth or stationed on the Death Star? I figured the movie would end with everyone dying, and mentioned that I wouldn't be surprised if the Death Star blew up the Scariff planet at the end (although that didn't quite happen) to contain the situation. Figured C-3P0 and R2-D2 would cameo in the end though. What did people think about CGI Tarkin? It's been the main negative critique of Rogue One that I've seen and while I am of the sorts that prefer practical or digital, I was very amazed at the quality of the representation. I'm going to watch it again or twice more to solidify my thoughts on everything.
  5. Oh my gosh! You disassembled Kenny! You jerk-face!
  6. The helmet in the Y-wing microfighter belongs to a blue squadron X-Wing pilot (Barion Raner). The minifigure skin tone is unfortunately inaccurate. The helmet in the U-Wing and Y-Wing system set is accurate to the Y-Wing, but the pilot is a Gold Squadron female pilot. I highly suggest purchasing the visual guide for Rogue One if any of you are like me and like getting more information on characters, vehicles and props. It shows many of the pilot's helmet designs.
  7. Rogue One brought the fan boy out in me to no ends. Yes, I enjoyed the easter eggs (and probably aggravated my lady), but I'm shocked at how much the movie could thrill and exhilarate despite knowing the ending would line up with A New Hope (I think that was clearly mentioned from the beginning of the project). There was so much to love about this movie and it finally fleshed out more regarding the Imperial dynamic (court intrigue, Nazi-esque personal politics) and showed the Empire really being brutal, not only to denizens of planets under their rule, but to each other. The ending really illustrated Tarkin's hubris regarding his appointment on the death star. I'm really hoping for more A New Hope-Return of the Jedi era spin-offs.
  8. Can you please clarify "opinions"? Are we not to say our opinions of sets? Or not speak about our opinions of other people's opinions? Cause it seems like we are less encouraged to speak our minds on the sets and people going off-topic to rant about opinions is encouraged. I'm not sure how conversation can flow without relevant opinions. People are clearly on here to discuss the sets. It is a forum.
  9. The hoth-style helmets have shown up in trailers so are accurate to the rebels in the movie. I do like that endor-style helmet though too.
  10. The engine fins are not angled on the original model and there is a slot at the front. Nothing a little mod on the engine won't fix if I'm so inclined. The Y-Wing and A-Wing are very impressive constructs other than that.
  11. Apologize for liking a set but pointing out a single small flaw in accuracy that has no bearing on whether or not I purchase said set. This is a forum, is it not? For discussion? If you don't want to hear the discussion, the pictures are readily available on hothbricks.com. The A-Wing is a gorgeous set. When I picked up the rebels A-Wing, I thought: I really hope they follow the same format with a re-issue of the ROTJ A-Wing! And they did. Love the A-Wing pilot and technician, but I don't like Lando's representation (my Respectful opinion).
  12. I wonder if the visual dictionary images have a certain light to them. Think if Lego is interested in accuracy, they should look to the movies not the visual dictionary. I guess Admiral Ackbar will be released with a red head and hot pink Admiral wear next , maybe Chewbacca is actually a deep purple.
  13. I'm surprised the love of Lando's minifigure is so unanimous. The figure is VERY inaccurate. I'm usually very tempered in my views of Lego sets and while I like the A-Wing set, that lando figure is just bad. Look up Google images "general Calrissian" and compare. The first General Calrissian minifigureand we got was amazing and accurate. The torso colour is blatantly wrong, the belt across his torso is missing and the cape strap is wrong as well. Pants are wrong colour as well and should be sand blue. This is clearly based off his appearance on Home One and not during the battle but I can't help but wonder where Lego got their source material from. Clearly not from the movie. Do not take this as a criticism of people that like the minifigure, it's a criticism of Lego. I can only assume people are so desperate for Lando as a figure, whatever Lego produces, however inaccurate, is better than not getting the figure at all. "Here you go people: you wanted Lando, fine; just don't expect us to care about accurate representation. We'll just wing it."
  14. I'd expect the A-Wing to be $40 American, $50 Canadian. However that may be generous considering the A-Wing vs Darth Vader's TIE was $100.00 USD and the A-Wing was the larger model. Liking the new A-Wing model regardless and will purchase it. However, I have the original General Calrissian minifigure and still looks superior to the new one. The slicked-back hair that Thrawn uses in black is much more accurate than Finn's hair as well. May just swap heads from the new to the old.
  15. Thanks for the review. I personally appreciate these kin of building reviews. Wow... Much better build than I anticipated. Landing gear?! And the pilot is not forced to lay down all the way to fit in the cockpit. Very nice. Thanks again!
  16. How does it personally impact you? The designers were very clear from the beginning you would not need Supergirl or Green Arrow in order to reach 100% completion and it appears lantern constructs are required for some minikits. Clearly Supergirls powers were not meant to be unique.
  17. I'm really glad the more obscure rogues are accurate to a previous appearance in comics. Even calculator is pretty really great. Buying them all.
  18. It was on for 20% off Canadian price on Amazon.ca. I really wanted Darth Vader's TIE so I told myself I would only purchase if on 20% discount or greater. Although the A-Wing is to a higher standard than the 2013 A-WING and I did appreciate it more than I thought originally.
  19. I bought it on sale and was amazed how much I appreciated the builds on both sets. It is a hard pill to swallow financially and I think the cost was the only real nail in its coffin, especially when that cost was compared to previous models. The Rebels A-Wing was leagues above the last A-Wing and makes me want Lego see what they can do for a future A-Wing using the same building techniques.
  20. Why does it look like the pilot has an SNES or old fashioned home console strapped to his chest?
  21. Agreed. I like the design since I saw it. Loved playing it in the Lego videogame. I will take any and all background or cut-from-the-film characters as well!
  22. That list on Hothbricks doesn't sound right to me. I'd like the Quad jumper, but the sets seem out of place. No Rogue One sets except for a "$30 imperial Hovertank" potentially. I feel you can tell when the lists are false and this one seems to ring those bells for me.
  23. You play as downed x-wing pilots trying to escape the surface of Starkiller base before it explodes. I'm really into rebel pilot squadrons so always want to see new pilot designs and pilot names.
  24. Hm, can't say that new DLC level was good. Seemed very short. I'm most interested in Escape from Starkiller base.
  25. There are some pictures up on IGN of the new sets. I noticed that the Mr. Freeze set "Mr. Freeze Ice Attack" is listed as available 11/27/16. The Arkham Asylum set is listed as 1/1/17. Not sure if this was mentioned yet so sorry if I'm repeated old info.
