  1. It is programmable but you will need a computer with a true rs-232 serial port and the special cable. I have read that it is possible to get a USB to serial adapter but this was not without lots of trial and error and not reliable.
  2. Some of the 9V motor cases get pretty beat up taking them apart. The one I had that seized was caused by a metal plate coming loose and binding against the magnet.
  3. Nothing from Radio Shack will be of any improvement. You will need to look on sites that specialize in Radio control gear.
  4. Yes, tracked dumpers have been around for years. I own a small one myself.
  5. Spybotics series still fall under the time frame (pre 2003) that they were not tracking cost very well and were only produced for one year. The cost of the fiber elements may have a lot to do with the material they used and the machines and process needed to get the final product. Keep in mind TLG had to have new molds an possible a entire new machine or machines produced to manufacture these elements. Cost of the parts need to include the cost of the investment to make them. Making a circuit board is cheap by comparison of setting up injection molding. China has dozens of plants that could have produced them by the thousands in no time.
  6. Well said Dont forgot to mention the part where once you transfer the videos from the device to iCloud Apple will claim all ownership and rights to said video because of a single sentence buried deep in the eula.
  7. I have a hard time believing Apple will have a cheaper price point than GoPro thats just not how their business model works.
  8. I would be interested in checking out the lxf on this beauty.
  9. He used a stack of these old gears to make the compacter roller section.
  10. I have programmed 1.0 rcx bricks with the old serial cable with a windows XP machine that had actual serial port. I haven't tried this under Win7 emulating XP though. I have only ever seen a USB to serial adapter work when data is received from a peripheral and not sent.
  11. Lego doesnt currently sell the V2 IR sensor directly. The only way tp get them from Lego currently is the 9398 set. Brinklink or Brickowl are the only places I have seen them individually for sale.
