  1. Awesome build! I'm a total sucker for this kind of equipment, and you've rendered it beautifully!
  2. Great build! My favorite part by far though is the sign. That font is so much fun!
  3. Really nice build. It's impressive how clean you managed to make it considering how many varying angles there are.
  4. Your display looks great! You might want to rotate the buildings out every so often, though. That much direct sunlight is going to wreak havoc on your bricks.
  5. Really cool build. It definitely feels like so many abandoned factories around the US. Great choice shooting it outside. It adds a lot to the presentation.
  6. I really like the shape of the roof; that it doesn't come in toward the top right away.
  7. I think I commented on this on flickr, too, but the slickness of this is wonderful.
  8. This is a really incredible build. The rendering of your subject is amazing, and the way in which you've gone about it is also truly impressive. Fantastic work!
  9. I would love to see this happen. I have recently come around to the Friends sets, but I'm still really bothered by the minidolls. They add an unnecessary, and unfortunate layer of separation between those sets and the rest of the Lego universe.
  10. Great work on the windmill! The parts usage and expressiveness are both really well done!
  11. I've noticed the prices at TRU fluctuating a lot lately. Some things are overpriced by $5-25, but then others are at normal retail. Deals can be had when things are on sale, but you really have to keep on top of it. The biggest reason I go there is because it's close to where I work, and it's nice to be able to actually pick up a box and check out a set. Oh, also, TRU now will price match LEGO.com. If there's a sale, you'll get whichever saves you more money, but if you have to have something right away, this might be the way to go.
  12. If you're just looking for kits to get you doors/windows etc, the Friends sets can be had for relatively cheap (especially online), and contain a ton of those type of parts. They also offer a lot of great detail parts for interiors. Some of the smaller Creator houses might be a way to go as well. Both of those options are cheaper than the City fire or police stations, which are much more expensive by comparison. If you have the money, though, the modulars are a lot of fun, and it it's an easy way to set up a standard for you to build your town to.
