  1. I'm now getting a similar error as of this week. I get a (typically Microsoft non-descriptive) error message telling me "an error has occurred" and would I like to no run any more scripts on the page. Doesn't matter whether I choose yes or no, I've still gotta kill LDD via Task manager and try again. Sometimes it'll work, sometimes not. Any luck? yes, yes, yes. I understand all that... now HOW do I disable the in-app web browser??
  2. Target at Helensvale (Gold Coast QLD) have 14 boxes of S2 figs. 5 of them opened, the rest just tucked in behind...
  3. I like it... took me a couple of seconds wondering why he was holding a telescope, but then it dawned on me. (and THEN I read your post....) I probably would've used this piece... but I realise that just because I have one in my collection, doesn't mean everyone else does! Nicely done with the legs. How are they attached, if you don't mind me asking?
  4. I'd buy it as a MH set... (perhaps not at $560 AUD tho )
  5. Yeh, there were some in a few Targets here in Qld a few weeks ago. I know I saw them in Helenvale (Gold Coast), and I think they had them in Ipswich as well. I don't recall, I wasn't that particularly interested. None now though - at least not as at last week. I got sick of looking. I ordered mine from S@H. (along with advent calendars, etc.) There aren't many on eBay either, surprisingly.
  6. Has anyone in QLD seen any stocks of Advent Calendars yet? (City and Castle- I want both) This morning I did a mammoth drive (went "the long way" to work) and checked all the following Toyworld/Mr.Toys: Logan (staff here looked at each other blankly until one commented "No, we haven't seen those for weeks!" - which told me neither of them knew WTF I was talking about) Indoordroopywilly Riverstink (Ipswich) Redbank Plaza They're also not in Toyland at Ribena Robina ('cos MrsCadder checked) OTOH, Target Helensvale (gold coast) have almost the full complement of games (including Hogwarts) included in their 20% off sale. Kmart there are also discounting all their PoP stocks - same at Redbank Plaza. Interesting to note; Myer at Logan still had some 10197 Fire Brigades AND a couple of Emerald Nights (at RRP of $299 and $149 respectively) Myer Indoordroopywilly had a couple of Fire Brigades and a shedload of 7939 Cargo Trains. There were at least half a dozen (also at full RRP)
  7. The $49.99 is for the yellow truck not the toysrus truck. Same happened to me there was no shelf sticker and I got mine at $49.99 instead of $59.99 I am not sure if they will figure that one out too soon. I thought that too, but they didn't HAVE any of the yellow ones in stock (at least not on the shelves) I don't recall. I think it was $139.99
  8. For Brisbanites: TRU at Mt.Gravatt has BOTH the Public Transport AND the TRU truck. The latter I picked up on Friday - what lightningtiger said could be true countrywide: there was a sticker on the shelf saying TRU Truck was $49.99. When I got it to the checkout, it rang up as $59.99. I pointed out the sticker and they issued me a $10 refund. I presume (and it makes sense if) the sticker was a bit of pre-emptive reduced price labelling.
  9. I noticed this morning that the ads for both city and castle (Kingdoms) advent calendarshave appeared on S@H. At the moment they're there, but listed as $0.00 AUD and have flags of "limited quantity" and "Not available" (yet, obviously). Also, the SERIES 2 Collectible Miifigs have appeared.
  10. *happy dance* My 10199 arrived from S@h today. Can't wait to build it so it's ready for the kids on Xmas morning :))
  11. Target Helensvale are down to 1 box of Series 1 minifigs. I'm presuming it's the ransacked remnants of the 6 boxes I mentioned earlier - and it's been moved to the toy section and not at the front checkouts any more. K-mart Helensvale have sold out of *ALL* the clearance stock Toy Story sets they had earlier in the week, and they've also sold out of 7778 Midi Millenniums Falcon, but there are still three or four Tie Defenders left. I nabbed their last Woody's Roundup set for $39. Target were still flogging it for $89. The only TS sets they had left after were the newer TS3 ones at full rate. I didn't see any farm sets. Still no sign of any Public Transport in Target or Kmart there either. I did wonder (when my Mrs asked me why the set I picked up was so cheap) what line of newcomers Kmart were expecting to stock their newly-cleared shelves with. I'm hoping it's Christmas stock. Seeing Advent Calendars and Winter Toy Shop/Bakery in retail stores in Aus would be a welcome novelty. Maybe that's TOO much to hope for.
  12. From someone who used to be in the industry.. (Cat Ferry building) Noice! v sweet MOC. That conning tower is all win.
  13. Target Helensvale (Gold Coast, QLD) have the same range at the same prices. Newly stocked. With all the new Kingdoms sets now appearing, I couldn't help feel a little disappointed I still can't find any Court Jester Impulses anywhere. I saw 8078for the first time this morning. Up 'til now I haven't been interested one iota in any of the Atlantis sets, but this one almost made it to my "must have now!" list! Target also seem to be the sole (at this stage) distributor of World Racers sets - and appeared to have the full complement of sets.
  14. This is gorgeous. Lovin' it displayed on the mirror like that too.
  15. Minifig series 1: Target Helensvale (Gold Coast, QLD) have six open boxes, but by the state of the packets thrown around all over everywhere, they've probably been ransacked for Zombies, Cheerleaders and Robots. Target Ipswich had two boxes, both about 50% full. This appears to vary from store to store. Helensvale they're at the checkout queue - down on a low shelf so small kiddies can pester for them while mum's in line. Ipswich they're about adult chest-height in the toy section - smack in the middle of all the other sets. Anecdotally: the reason I know Ipswich had two boxes, I saw a guy at the checkout (Monday Lunchtime) buying a SEALED box! They'd obviously not opened all the display boxes while stocking the shelves. (I immediately went to check if there were any more unopened, but alas, he must've nabbed the last one.) At Target's price point of $3.75 (they're only $2.99 if you can find them in TRU), he was prepared to fork out $225. The funny part was, the hapless checkout chick was having conniptions because when she scanned the box, the entire box (of 60) scanned at $3.75. She ended up having to call over a manager, to explain that they weren't having a "98% off" sale.
  16. S@H says Not available to Australia.
  17. My Lego collection is so vast I have to share it with the kids. They have a tendancy to strip anything I build for the minifigs Anyway, I have one of those "spread bag" mats - although mine's not the Lego brand one from the 70's... I got mine a couple of years ago from Identity Direct (they do personalised stationery, etc for kids). This is where all our "unsorted" Lego goes... only drawback is, it'll only hold so much, and ours doesn't quite "tie up" at the top That's in addition to the stuff that is mostly sorted... Stackable Placcy containers with lids FTW!! (yes, that handsome fat bloke with the beergut is me.) For those who don't want to spend squillions on containers, I have a tip: you can buy stacks of 4 or 5 containers (like Chinese food containers) in the supermarket for about $2. Some of them have 2 separate compartments, and the best part is, they stack up. You can see some in the next pic. I don't have any "completed built" Sets or MOC stuff at the moment, but I do have a "rebuild/in progress" shelf: (and more sorted containers) You can also see in there I have a couple of stacks (about 20) 15-compartment clear plastic containers for small parts. Each container is for a different set of similar parts... (round bits, Tiny-Turbo and other car body bits, Boat bits, Minifig utensils, SNOT bits, etc)
  18. FWIW, it's still available in Australian S@H, at its usual price of $109 AUD. Maximum 5 per buyer.
  19. You rang? I add mine into my 'sorted' parts containers. Unless I'm feeling particularly lazy, in which case they get put into the UNsorted box. pfft. throw them away? are you nucking futs?
  20. I'm on the Gold Coast: Myer Pacific Fair still have a shedload of Fire Brigade 10197s - I bought 3 for the price of 2 last weekend, But they were full price ($299) and they have nothing new to show. Target at Helensvale have a stack of Cargo Trains, but they are also at full price $300. I managed to pick one of those up the last day of their 20%off sale = $240 It's interesting to note that Target's new pricing policy seems to do away with $xx9 pricing and they now price everything at round numbers (eg, $300 instead of $299) I did notice that Kmart at Ipswich seem to have the full line of new Lego Games I'd not seen anywhere else.
  21. empty Vassals make the most noise...

  22. Sorry 'bout that, chief.. I did self-censor *** tho :) Your point, well taken it is. ROFL! you're right. Humorous bug indeed.. I was amused - in fact, it elicited a literal LOL out of me OK, let me rephrase: I'd like to see straight and curve baseplates with CORRECT prints - and T-junction baseplates with print. ...and 48x48 baseplates.
  23. I can't/don't believe that this part doesn't appear in LDD. It's been around for donkey's yonks and still gets issued in modern sets. If I'm wrong, and it does exist in LDD LU mode, would someone be kind enough to tell me what menu it's under?? Apologies if this has already been mentioned. I needed to use it a couple days ago and got right-royally p***ed that I couldn't find it. Oh! and I wanna see prints on the road baseplates too. And where the hell is the 48x48 baseplate??
  24. I don't see it should be that difficult. It could at least be constrained - like doing a 'copy', but the bricks are the other way around. Programmatically, yes, bricks elements would have to have two flags: 1. is it mirrorable? (ie, does a it look the same when mirrored? MOST do, but some don't (laser guns/scanners for instance - minifig hair, and AFAIK, the "robot" minifig arm used in the agents set ONLY came in a right-arm version). In those cases, the element would either be transposed (copied, not mirrored) or if it didn't fit into the mirrored assembly, just ignored with a message indicating so. 2. does it have a mirror counterpart? (classic example being wing pieces) if so, then the counterpart piece is used instead. I don't see any need for making things any more complex than they need be -no need for having to specify the mirror line, just have a standard where it's mirrored in the orthogonal axis closest to the current view, and have it able to be rotated using the arrow keys before placement, just like the copy function. Also - I think LDD would benefit from some sort of numbered layer system. Now, I'm fairly new to LDD, (but not new to CAD packages by any stretch of the imagination), and I haven't fully explored the usage of groups in this, but maybe they could be integrated somehow. The way it would work is this: -new parts inserted would be inserted on the logical 'layer number' that was selected at that time. -any parts can be assigned different layers, regardless of their shape or colour -layers can be turned on and off independantly for visibility (thus expanding the 'hide' command to something useful) -the layers (if used in an intuitive manner by the user) can then be utilised when it's time to make the instruction guide. (I saw a couple of people mention this needed streamlining, I agree). For example, you could have a setting that mandates each layer be made an instruction step. (although, if the parts on one layer were too numerous, the guide-making routine could break these down to subassemblies) for those who may not be familiar with CAD system definition of a layer (a-la AutoCAD, etc) it's merely a collection of parts that can be changed as a collective independently of other pieces. It doesn't necessarily have any bearing on where the pieces are physically located. (ie, layer 2 doesn't have to be physically above layer 1, etc). The best example of using layers is to think of 'genuine' Lego instructions. The new parts introduced at each step could be considered a layer. Or, think of the example of building a house - each course of bricks might be on a separate layer. Or, for more complex examples, subassemblies might each be on a separate layer. A car bonnet, roof, door, etc might all be separate layers. While on the subject of the 'hide' command, an "undo hide" command will be REALLY useful. How many times have you gone to pick a few elements to hide and clicked a brick you didn't want hidden? I have. I want to be able to "hide: click click click click.. Doh, unhide that one, click click click..."
  25. Does 10021 (2003) count? The below-deck cannons are attached by the same method. Downloadable Instructions are here.
