  1. I bought a box of S4 figs from a European distributor on BL, then managed to get hold of a full box here from an Aussie retailer. In case anyone is interested, the dot codes (bump codes?) on the two sets were quite different. (In some cases, mirrored) I've created tables here: NOTES: All these dots are as viewed on the FRONT of the Minifig packs. The batch/embossed number is shown for reference only. The digits of yours will probably differ. Also noted are the distributed quantities per box observed, (as discussed in an earlier post in this thread) Aus: Euro/US: Comments welcome.
  2. If that's the case, then S@H's Aussie prices should be a lot cheaper than the shops. They're not. In fact, in a lot of cases, they're more expensive. AND they double-dip by charging a fortune for freight.
  3. I picked up a box today from an Aussie retailer. My distribution was the same as yours, but different from every other site I've seen where they've done an S4 "unboxing": 4 Punk Rockers (not 5 as every other site seemed to have) 3 Surfer Girls (not 4) 3 Street Skaters (not 4) 5 Soccer Players (not 4) 4 Crazy Scientists (not 2) ...which, if you "do the math", (and assume that all Australian-release boxes are distributed similarly), means that Aussies get THREE FULL SETS (plus 12 extras) per box instead of everyone else's 2 sets +28!
  4. Series 4 figs are now fairly prevalent in SE Qld... Over the last couple of days, I've discovered bothS3 AND S4 figs in Helensvale (Gold Coast, qld) in both Kmart and Target. Kmart are retailing all theirs at $5, Target have all theirs at $4-, given they've still got 20% off until Thursday. Target had 12 (yes, count them TWELVE) open and near-full boxes of S4s and a couple of S3 boxes. Kmart had 2 of each. In Indooroopilly today, Target, Kmart AND Myer all have boxes of S3 and S4 figs in copious quantities. I even spotted one woman standing in the Lego aisle of Target with a printed dot-code cheat sheet making sure she'd snaffled a full set of S4 figs. She looked a little sheepish when I quietly commented aside to her "It was a lot easier when they had barcodes, eh?" :D
  5. Target have it (at least at Helensvale, QLD) included in their 20% off sale... which drops the price to around$159. (Sorry, Brix!)
  6. It was a DJ exclusive. Good luck finding one now. You can still get them through S@H, or you could always try eBay. There's a couple of people in Aus selling them. I have one myself - it's a very nice set and fun to build.
  7. I believe it is a S@H item only, though it did appear in a list for TRU in the states though. Import might be the only way.....dam ! It's marked on S@H as an Exclusive. It's also marked as Out of Stock - expected delivery in May. Having said that, I also notice HP Diagon Alley is no longer marked Exclusive, but now just HTF. I wonder if that means it's been OKed for release to a retailer?
  8. On the subject of Target 20%, I noticed earlier in the week that Target Helensvale (Gold Coast, QLD) had "clearance" price tags on some of their old stock. (eg, world racers, Toy Story).. some of them were reduced by 30-ish percent. I noticed today that with the 20% sale, they're taking a FURTHER 20% off the already discounted sets! So now's the chance to pick up any last TS3 or WR sets you may have been humming over. I picked up the 5893 Creator Off-Road 3-in-1 for $79.90 and a construct-a-Zurg for $15.90!
  9. I got my Portal of Atlantis Today... Thursday, 7th April. I ordered it Friday, 25th March. Which makes it about 9 working days... still within the 7-10 I was quoted at purchase. I'm not complaining about that service, considering it came by regular Aussie Post!
  10. Anyone interested in the Brickmaster Books/sets will find DJs online also have the Star Wars brickmaster on sale down from 39.99 down to 31.96. Just sayin'.
  11. I jumped the gun and bought a box off Bricklink. I can get them for about half the price any store is going to sell them here. They should get here about the time they're appearing in shops too. I did the same with a box of S3s. I had them in my hot little mitt BEFORE they'd appeared in any Aussie shops. Oooh! thx for the tip. I *nearly* bought the Dojo on the weekend!
  12. hmm. that's wierd. I got a message saying i'd reached the limit of purchases when I attempted that :/
  13. Thx for that tip! bought my portal :) at that price, I couldn't resist. Oh, and it should be noted, you can pick ONE option, max. 5 per purchase. There is no ability to "mix and match" and buy one of each, for example. re: City space, K-mart Helensvale (qld) have the 3365 Space Moon Buggy, 3366 Satellite Launch Pad AND 3368 Space Center. I don't remember seeing the 3367 Space Shuttle there though. They've still got 2 or 3 boxes (opened, rifled through) of S3 figs and they appeared to be reorganising the shelves, shifting Lego around - hopefully it's to make room for this years new ranges!
  14. TRU have 30% all Atlantis sets from 1-9 Dec.
  15. Just quickly, not sure it's been mentioned yet: Target 20% all Lego this week. In some cases (Airport Limo, for example) a bit more than 20% off. Airport $99, etc.
  16. For Limited sets that you intend to actually open and build... As stupid as this may sound, Try Bricklink. I managed to buy two (yes, TWO) Grand Emporiums from the US from a guy who had them at a reduced price because the boxes had been crushed. I bought them without the boxes. This saved me twofold - firstly, it was cheaper in the first place. Secondly, because there wasn't the bulk and wasted space, the sets came in their original polybags all in one box to reduce the postage. And with the Aussie Dollar pretty darn close to 1:1 against the greenback, there's some real savings to be had. What I got: 2x 10211Grand emporiums $164 ea. (without boxes) 1x 10185 Green Grocer $154 (without box) Combined postage: $123 (with tracking) total: $605. Building fun, priceless. Compare this against buying from Lego S@H in Australia... $749.97 AUD and that's not including postage, which Lego charge an arm and a leg for. edit PS: I'll post photos of my Grander-than-Grand Emporium when I get chance.
  17. Brilliant work.
  18. Target Helensvale (Gold Coast, Qld) also have the full range of new HPs. Helensvale still have maybe 6-8 boxes, but they all look pretty well rummaged through. a couple of the boxes have only got a half dozen or so figs left.
  19. AFAIK, In the Australian S@H, Winter Toy Shop has been available (all year) since it was released last Christmas. In fact, last month I bought five to stock my online shop ready for Christmas. (limit of 5 per purchase) The Winter Bakery is released on October 1. That also has a limit of 5. I'll also be buying 5 of those.
  20. My story's even topical! I went on TV at the age of 7 (1974 - do the maths) to be presented with the first prize in a competition that I'd won. The show was a 4pm kids/cartoon show, and the presentation was done live to air. My prize? A Lego set - Basic set 8, which, in 1974, was the largest set Lego made.
  21. Here's something I've not seen before: Mr.Toys/Toyworld Riverlink (Ipswich, Qld) have 2 boxes of S2 figs and a sign on the checkout counter: "They're back! $3.99 ea. Limit 6 per customer". (nb; Target Ipswich had none)
  22. Target have 10-30% off all toys this week. Lego, it seems, comes under the "10%" banner. Still, it's better than nothing, considering Helensvale (Gold Coast, Qld) had the full range of Kingdom/knights (except advents and jester), World Racers, a bunch of different games, and absolute sh*tloads of Series 2 minifigs (at least 10 boxes, all opened). Only place I've seen any recently is 2x at David Jones Robina (Gold Coast). They were on the "20% off" table, but didn't have price tags on.
  23. Nope. mine still not working this afternoon. Doesn't matter what you hit, [Yes], [No] or [x]. LDD won't advance or close.
  24. First thing I do when I start/open LDD is close the browser. To me, it's a waste of space. Is there any way of having LDD start up with the browser window hidden/closed by default?
  25. Probably in knee-jerk response to David Jones having 20% off "All Full-Price Lego" this week - or at least DJ's do at Robina (Gold Coast, QLD) Target Robina also had half a dozen boxes of S2 Minifigs (3 opened and rummaged through)
