I was told the second investigator determined people's allegiances. I made sure to check on that fact.

Blatant lying like what you claim Bulltoad is doing is the sort of thing a desperate Hallowed would do. That's convincing enough to me. Therefore, I vote:no-one, because I'm dead. But if I could vote, it'd be for Bulltoad. Kingston has been going after him for days now, I'd say it's about time we find out who's side he's on. Also, I've been thinking about this mysterious other investigator. We've established the Hallowed would have no need of determining people's allegiances as they know who the other Hallowed are... or would they?? Perhaps they could use an investigator to find Impartial folk and convince them to side with them. Another thought, what if this other investigator is Impartial him/herself, and has a specific goal to find a specific person for whatever reason? I'd say it's plausible. Also also, does anyone know of an item, spell or potion that prevents a player from being blocked (other than blocking the blocker)? Because I'm sure the Hallowed will do all they can to try to stop me now that murder didn't work.

I know Jolie Jadis is sounding pretty crazy, but if there's one person I trust, it's her. Incidentally, the other person I have complete faith in is Eloquence Malleus. Now, coincidentally, those two people seem to have very little trust of each other, which confuses me more than just a tad.

Don't worry, I know the feeling! Well, today seems to be very quiet... I suppose after all the action yesterday, we're all out of ideas. So, let's talk about Impartials. Being a neutrally aligned often has ulterior motives, like that animal-loving lad at the beginning of this debacle. His way of 'winning' in all this madness was to kill everyone off, and it seems he could unleash monsters upon the castle grounds to achieve this. Lucky we got rid of him early, and only had to face one beast, which we've also managed to stall and ultimately get rid off. (Congratulations, and thank you to whomever did that.) Now, Nene's motivation I'm not entirely sure of. It might have been to kill of a certain person, or achieve a certain task. I suppose we'll never know, unless Professor McGonogal knows? As for the as of yet unnamed Impartial I know and trust fairly well, his/her way of 'winning' in all this is to simply survive. So, s/he isn't an immediate threat, and s/he hold a lot of information we could use, so I see no need in hindering his/her chances of winning. Even though I now have no way of 'winning' in all this...

That's the thing though, I don't think eliminating said person would be the best idea, and revealing his/her identity might lead to gis/her downfall. Apparently in order for said person to win, he/she just has to survive. Said person has been aiding the Innocents so far, and seems to be the person everyone trusts and confides information in. Thus said person is very useful in trading information, and gaining new knowledge. Getting rid of such a source of knowledge is, in my opinion, a bad idea. Well, that's okay then. I'll still try to avoid it though, it creeps me out... Also, uh... Really? Are you sure about that? You might want to check back on what I said.

I uh... I must have overlooked this... Woops. If I had heard you say this I probably would have kept my mouth shut. Ah well, it's in the past now. Quick question, does anyone know if Dementors have any affect on ghosts? I've been wondering if there were any counter-measures put in place for the Hallowed to be able to stop ghosts, and since the Dementor's been awfully quiet the past few days, when there wasn't a ghost around...

The Foe Glass reveals people who target you with malicious intent. Just because they target you, doesn't mean they succeed in their action.
-
Oh. Well, I can't believe I didn't think of that. I'll blame it on the whole, "I'm dead" thing. So, 2 investigators, eh? Interesting. In that case, one of them is bound to be Insane, Paranoid or Naive. Maybe your foe-glass is broken. We know you're not the only one with a foe-glass, so maybe one of them doesn't work properly. I'm not Miss Kingston, but I can answer your question. A Foe Glass is an object which shows you the face of a person who is targeting you with malicious (harmful) intent. If someone is targeting you in a non-harmful way, then the Foe Glass won't show anything. Well, time to let the cat out of the bag, and hopefully this will help us find one of those scum-bag Hallowed. I'm an Innocent Investigator. I can determine people's allegiances. On night one I was away, nights 2 and 3 I was unable to find anything out (due to the people I was investigating being stunned or otherwise unreadable). Night 4 I found our third Impartial character, but I'm not sure I should reveal him/her yet. I also, in a stroke of luck, was able to see all his/her items and abilities.
-
Impartial mean neither Innocent nor Death's Hallowed, so sort of the neutral side. They can have different criteria to "win", but most of the time it's simply 'survive'. I'll be a winner in my eyes...
-
That doesn't mean it's hostile to us. It didn't attack anyone last night. Also, I'm freakin' dead!! That really steams me off! What do I do to deserve this?! Seriously, I don't recall rousing anyone's suspicions... which leads me to wonder if I can trust who I think I can... Now I'm six feet under (uh.. metaphorically speaking?) I'm debating whether I should reveal my role or not... It might help the Innocents, but it also will provide the Hallowed with knowledge, and knowledge is power... Well you know my ability now (-the whole, ghost thing-), so that's enough for the meantime. Hmmm... what else... oh! Nene was an Impartial then? And so was that hippy boy from the beginning of this fiasco. And I know of another Impartial, so that's at least three total! I for one have never heard of so many Impartials in a situation like this... Also, apparently there are two Investigators. Now, if you're reading this and know what I'm talking about, please contact me! Send me a private message! I've never heard of two Investigators that can determine allegiance being on the same team before, and the one I know is definitely an (the?) Innocent one. I don't believe they are both on the same team, unless one is Insane, Paranoid or Naive...

General Pirates of the Caribbean Theme Discussion Thread
iamded replied to Oswald the Rabbit's topic in LEGO Pirates
It makes sense to tie in with the new movie, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. I guess Megabloks' license of PotC only covered the first 3 movies. That, or I completely misunderstand how licensing works. Maybe they'll do what they did with Indy and release sets for the new movie first, then sets for the original 3? A possibility. -
Wait wait wait. You keep saying "invincibility cape". Do you mean "invisibility cape", or is there actually a cape in Harry Potter that makes the wearer invulnerable?
-
Well hold on just a second. I for one know who the Innocent investigator is, and it sure isn't Nene. My, what a ruckus. So many accusations and arguments. I've found Jolie's to be most convincing, and though I'm not sure I fully trust her, I do trust Stephanie Kingston, and they both voted for Nene, with a convincing enough argument. So, this is a vote I have a fair amount of confidence in. Vote: Nene Grandstaff/Millacol88
-
Well, well, well! Immune to magic, survived a blast from the Killing Curse? Having been attacked by a Hallowed, we can therefore deduce that Stephanie is Innocent! Stephanie Kingston, you are a valuable asset to all us Innocent. Just something I'd like to see clarified; "the spell didn't connect", does this mean it physically missed? You said you are "utterly and completely resistant to magic", does this mean if the spell had hit, you would have been unscathed? If this is true, I imagine we'll have one completely safe person on our side. However, if this is false, then perhaps we should get someone onto protecting you. Good job to whomever stunned Cuddles again! Keep it up. It's good to not have to worry about that beast. Now, I haven't had a lot of luck doing anything the past couple of nights. Quite a streak of bad luck, and nothing new uncovered. Anyone whom I have been suspicious of has been cleared in my books. But from what I've been hearing, Bulltoad seems to be drawing a lot of suspicion, and we still haven't heard from him yet... Care to share what you think you saw? It might help us find out who it was...
-
That's all good and well, and I can see you've done a lot of work, but I was actually asking Desiree Jackson (badboytje88)to provide a logical reason for her suggestion of letting Cuddles roam the corridors un-stunned. Thank you for all the effort you put in to providing a logical reason for your suggestion though! Well then, I see this was just a misunderstanding. It would have been a reasonable risk were the ratio of Innocents to Hallowed 1:1, but it is not and I see that you realise the true risk and take back your words. So, I hereby unvote: Desiree Jackson/badboytje88. Hmm, there are so many accusations flying around every which way. It's all quite confusing. I think we've established that landing a conviction at this hour is unlikely, so we shall see what the night brings us. Here's hoping for something good, for once...
-
Well, it seems the day will soon be at an end and time is running out. I expect to be busy for the rest of the day so I shall cast my vote now. Going upon my previously mentioned suspicions, I shall vote: Desiree Jackson/badboytje88. If you can provide a logical reason for your suggestion, then I might just revoke my vote. Until then though, I feel your suggestions do more to jeopardise the Innocent's success than to assist.
-
Alright, I think I've sorted my thoughts enough to tell my opinion. Harriet Pewter (YG-49) doesn't seem like a likely suspect to me. Being inactive doesn't so much point to being a Death's Hallowed. It is as Stephanie Kingston (Zepher) said; She makes a good point, which I agree with. One person who has aroused my suspicion is Desiree Jackson (badboytje88). I first suspected her when she suggested, "it might be usefull not to petrify Cuddles every night. What do you guys think?" This would be a terrible idea, as, as has been mentioned, the Innocents far outnumber the Hallowed, so there's a much greater chance of one of us dying than a Hallowed. It's a risk I'm not willing to take, the odds just aren't in our favour. Again she brings it up, but seems to get confused; She says it's very much possible the next victim will be a Hallowed, and then says we should petrify the monster. That seems to go against her own logic. Now I'm all for petrifying this Cuddles, but that's because I find it more likely the next victim will be an Innocent. Now Desiree Jackson, do you have anything to say to make sense of this? I just don't see the logic in letting Cuddles run loose. Sure, there's a slight chance it could gobble up a Hallowed, but the odds are against us. We don't even know for sure if it's victims are random, for all we know it could be under the Hallowed's control.
-
Oh dear, poor young Rowan. But I wonder what he was doing, trying to learn such a dangerous spell? He should have been brushing up on stunning spells if anything. A killing curse is not something one should take lightly. So first you're relieved to see it stopped, and then straight away suggest we don't stop it in future? Given it's track record, I don't think that would be a good idea. He's killed an Innocent thus far, we shouldn't risk another Innocent falling prey to that monster.
-
This is very true. You say you were stunned in your bed, and that is the last thing you remember before waking up in the Nurse's room. So how do you know someone broke your camera? Was it on your person when you woke up? I don't think someone would steal the film and break your camera, and leave you with the broken camera. It's not making much sense. So this, along with the other points people have brought up, particularly Eloquence Malleus (Shadows) has convinced me to place my vote. I'm sorry it had to come to this. Vote: Burman / Angela Weasley
-
Caretaker Oraman, such a shame. He was a good friend and colleague, and a powerful ally. But let us turn to the situation at hand. Though Ms Weasly's stories seem jumbled and confused, I'm not so sure she's a Hallowed, so I'm not inclined to vote her away. She seems more scared and confused than trying to deceive us. I just hope that tonight turns up information that we can all use. Some hard evidence is something that would definitely not go amiss.

Alrighty, thanks so much for the opportunity to play Sandy! I thought I had missed out! I'll be a bit busy for the next day or so but after that I'll sort my Avatar and such out and dive right in to it. I do love a good Mafia game. ~Peace
-
If it's not too late, I'd like to throw my name in the hat. Now, the all important questions: What is your experience with mafia games, here and elsewhere? I've only ever played mafia games here on Eurobricks, and half of them never saw a proper ending, but I do love them and would say I've gotten accustomed to the tricks and twists they can offer. I'm always game for another go. I um... I'm not sure if I've won one yet, but losing streaks don't last forever! What is your relationship with the Harry Potter -franchise? Well, er, I read the books. And saw a couple of the movies. Well actually, I still haven't read the last book. I may not be a die-hard fan, but I know enough to stay in the loop! ~Peace

That's not really a triangle, is it? Shouldn't it be 'Mike dies - Pryce kills himself'? That would make it a full circle, instead of an overly distraught Zane and a "I-don't-even-care" Pryce. ~Peace
-
Wow, what an ending! Although I have to admit, I do hope to join a Mafia game where we don't all die at the end. Still, it was fun. Good job, JimButcher and Ricecracker! ~Peace
