  1. They just need Green Lantern and a load of different translucent green bricks.
  2. The staff at the LEGO store in Manchester have been great each time I've been in. They all seem to be genuinely interested in LEGO, and and are always cheerful and helpful (especially when it comes to the minifigure packs).
  3. I'm sure I remember having a Spinosaurus with the Jurassic Park logo on it. It went well with all the Adventurers dinosaur stuff.
  4. I enjoy The Big Bang Theory, but I'd never buy a set based on it.
  5. The most likely reason is that the stores don't have access to the web store's information (the VIP cards would be on a different system).
  6. My Lord Bussiness' Evil Lair arrived today. I uploaded a few more photos here (Note: Spoilers for the film).
  7. I'm almost certain that it will get rejected. Not because of licensing issues, but more because it just doesn't look like a great design. I just can't see them accepting it and redesigning it significantly (with permission from the designer - who I'm pretty sure would't care as long as a Doctor Who set gets made) is not something they would want to do. It's similar to how the first two Zelda sets were rejected. The focus was mainly on the minifigures and props (especially this one, while the second one said that set wasn't important and was a base for the figures). If it was a licensing issue, then they would probably stop sets getting accepted. the third one does look more interesting as a set, but will require at least one new mould. The accepted Cuusoo projects seem to have had a much clearer idea of what they wanted the set to look like. While it helps that the designer is open to TLG changing things (like choosing the figures), I think this initial presentation is helpful for the review process.
  8. Disney put Leland Chee (the guy who's been maintaining the Holocron continuity database) in charge of canon. Which makes me think that they do care.
  9. A lot of stuff during or before the OT will likely be unaffected by the films, so a lot of that will stay. The stuff after the OT will likely be "Canon until it contradicts the new films". Some elements may be in the films (I expect some EU characters to exist), but they won't let the EU affect the story they want to tell.
  10. I've got Metalbeard's Duel and Cloud Cuckoo Palace so far. Lord Business' Lair should arrive tomorrow (my LEGO Store was sold out) - my Pants Guy and Bad/Scribble Cop minifigures should go well with that set. I've made a few small adjustments to Metalbeard to make it closer to the film (oddly, some of these parts are spares you get with the set, like an extra chain). I'm looking at getting the extra parts I need for his third cannon. As for upcoming sets, I'm getting Benny's Spaceship as soon as I can. If they're out in June, even better.
  11. I thought that this series was brilliant. I even enjoyed the Jar Jar episodes, while the Yoda ones were spectacular (Korriban/Moraband being shown was wonderful).
  12. I would love to see what TLG could to with the Star Trek license - I think they could make some wonderful large ships. Still, I'm aware that this would never happen. On to of the competition with Star Wars, I doubt that LEGO would get a license that really only suits UCS models (unless they did shuttles, which could be done as sets) and some ships may even be impossible due to the shape (large saucer on a small neck - KRE-O just cut the neck of their Enterprise). Even so, a UCS USS Defiant (which is probably the best shape for LEGO) would be amazing.
  13. I know I'm new, but if there's space in the next Mafia School I'd love to play. I play on another forum (actually, I just started hosting one literally 10 minutes ago - a LEGO one, too) and I think it would be interesting to play against a different group of people.
  14. I'd love to see a Doctor Who LEGO set. Even if it's unlikely, the possibility of it is still exciting. Looking at the current Cuusoo submissions, this one looks like it has the most potential. The set is a decent Cuusoo side while including options for both exterior and interior TARDIS scenes, and the use of 1x2x2 frames with panels creates the look of the TARDIS without any new moulds or large stickers (but quite a few new colours). The creator also says that he's flexible about what minifigures are included (it's up to LEGO/BBC, even if they want to have 12 and Clara), although I love the way he approached the fourth Doctor's scarf.
  15. I had a ton of LEGO when I was a kid, from many different themes (including Town, Castle, Adventures, Pirates, Star Wars, Harry Potter, Space, Rock Raiders and odd sets from other themes). Now that's in a loft in my mum's house, waiting for my youngest brother. I recently got the urge to get back into LEGO, and the Movie convinced me that I wanted to make it into a proper hobby. So far I have the DeLorean, Curiosity, Cloud Cuckoo Palace, Metalbeard's Duel and a selection of minifigures. I've also got Lord Business' Evil Lair on order (my local LEGO store was out of stock). I'm also definitely picking up Benny's Spaceship and the ECTO-1 later this year. I also know someone already on this forum: ReZourceman, who makes loads of awesome superhero figures.
  16. I've only picked up a few of these so far: Where's My Pants Guy, Scribble Bad Cop, Panda Guy and Wiley Fusebot. Although I decided to turn Wiley into a human
