Love this! Thanks for sharing! Finally some nice use of the Belville figures! Also, the comparison pictures are very helpful. :)

Nice review. One thing I would like to mention is that this set actually have several versions. Some comes with an insertable card with a different design, also the minifigs and accessories can be different. I know someone who has the same kit but with Benny included instead of the knight. Also, Huw at Brickset got the same assortment of minifigs as you did, but got Batman's cape and Wyldstyle's hood included. I'm not sure what makes the difference, perhaps it is regional. I have the same version as you do. ;)

Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu TV Show Thread
akunthita replied to Lance's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
I was thinking that the "nindroids can't dream" incident could be explained that perhaps Zane's first dreams about the falcon were in fact not dreams in the ordinary sense. Maybe Zane's "dad" programmed the falcon to "contact" Zane after a certain period of time and start him on his path of rediscovering his past. For this to happen Zane first had to start to trust the falcon. So the falcon was programmed to help Zane in various situations before leading him back to his old home. What I'm thinking is that these were more like data-trasmits between the falcon and Zane, rather than actual dreams. Of course, Zane thinking of himself a human, interpreted these data-trasnfers as dreams. Once he understood who he was, it became clear to him that he in fact wasn't dreaming at all, just receiving data.- 4,591 replies

I believe a person who likes LEGO, built some decent MOCs and likes to teach would qualify just fine. I believe this would be a great opprotunity for some of the LEGO experts at EB. Of course having previous or current experience working for LEGO won't hurt, it is not a requirement. I have also contacted the community on BrickSet and BrickLink, and there has been already some applicants. If you feel any attraction for the projet and you think you might like to do it, it won't hurt to give it a try. The worst that can happen is that it won't work out.

Hey, guys! I have been contacted though theBrickBlogger today by someone who needs some help. Here is his original message. I thought with all the experts here this might be an opportunity for someone and a way to help others new to the LEGO hobby. If any of you are interested, please PM me and I will get you guys in touch. Hi, Thita! We are organizing a contest for the employees of STV, Inc. that requires them to build original projects with Legos, and we would like to find someone who could do an online Lego workshop/webinar and who could help us judge the winning entries. Can you put us in touch with someone who could do this for us? (Payment to be negotiated with the expert, based on credentials and track record). If there are videos of anyone running a workshop that would be most helpful to us in making a selection. Hope you have time to help us out. Cheers! As far as I know Ninjago is using those elements because they spell out as LIFE. Lightning + Ice + Fire + Earth.

Episode 9 was awesome! So far my favorite has been Episode 7, but episode 9, with Cole's story was just as great! Do you guys have a link to a good quality YouTube video of Episode 8? I have only been able to find lower quality video-taping-the-tv versions. All previous episodes have been upload in high-quality versions by several people, but somehow Episode 8 has been missing. Also, findind a better quality Episode 9 would be great too! Anyway, if you guys know something please let me know. Thanks in bunches!

I have posted high resolution (legal) images of all the 1012 LEGO NINJAGO Spinners & Boosters packs. Interesting tidbit; the booster packs are in the same kinds of packaging as the Collectible Minifigures. You guys are welcome to use the images here as well! Here they are: 2012 LEGO NINJAGO Spinners & Booster Packs Pictures I really like the new kendo helmets and the new sai. And I'm in love with the misterious red samurai!

The Flamboyant Baron Maude La Flaga
akunthita replied to Tomcat RIO's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Insanely awesome minifig! And not just in one way! The paint job, the customizing techniques on both the minifig and on the horse, and the photos are all increadible! You really captured the whole look of a medieval knight! Of course my favorite is the tigers on the shoulder, but I'm amazed by the customization on the legs too! It looks increadible when the fig is mounted and also when kneeling. The only part I'm not so happy about is the right arm. Something about it just doesn't look right. But that is a minor detail compared to the whole awesomeness. This is pure win! -
As some others have said; I wasn't sure about buying this set, but now that I see the details; WOW! Really nicely done! Thanks for the great review! The questionable plant is a really funny addition!

Women and LEGO: Why we do what we do
akunthita replied to SilvaShado's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I have found an interesting article published today on Fast Copmpany Magazine's website (I guess the topic of girls-boys-&-LEGO is in the air!) that references LEGO as the archeticipal boy-toy. I couldn't help but write a post about it, referencing the original article: The World of Female LEGO Fans - PART 2 What do you, gals, think? -

Sarah, great and complex topic! There is also an Eurobricks Ladies Group around here somewhere. I have no idea how to get to it, but I do see an icon under some of the female member's IDs stating that they belong to the Eurobricks Ladies group and they also have nice pink star below their ID with LADIES written next to it. The only thing I have found on it is this post: Girls, Stand Up! This is where you can request a pink star! Anyhow, I'm guessing members of this group would be happy to contribute to your research! Also, here is the link to the first part of your post at theBrickBlogger: The World of Female LEGO Fans - PART 1 Wishing you the best with your research! -

LOL! Ninjago, huh? That is really sweet! I'm amazed how popular Ninjago is with kids! I do like the Asian buildings, the spinners, the dragons, the minifigs and the game aspect of it. But I can't relate to the vehicles. How they fit into the story. But the kids I hang out with totally get it! And love it! Maybe I'm getting too old! -
I find the Black Pearl design really boring. And what's up with the sails? It supposed to have tattered sails, not shiny new ones! I do like the Queen Anne though. Lots of interesting details, great colors, nice figs!
