Cool idea! Nice little Impulse! :)
-
Both would be okay. Either the physical MOC or building instructions. Or both. I really don´t care, as long as the MOC is cool

Hi there, I was just wondering if someone here would be willing to build a comission for me? I´ve been trying to build a MOC Pontiac Fiero, as I drive that car in reality and my sigfig needs a cool ride But I failed in LDD, and I don´t have enough bricks to build it for real. The car could be any size as long as its accurate and can hold two minifigs. OR a UCS style model Attached is a pic of the car in question. More pics are available of course
-
Looking forward to it

My deepest appologies for stealing borrowing that unique line

I was totally bored the other day when I was at my parents´, so I went and bought another Dark Panther to have some LEGO fun. Here´s a little alternate model I came up with. Nothing big, though. The Dark Blockade More pics when moderated: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=318428

Wow! Just Wow!
-
You´re right. It could use a little more size. Feel free to add to it!
-
It´s lovely! Excellent in design. Just too big for an impulse set
-
Any similarities to other space fighters are pure coincidence, right? ;) No, looking good!

Thanks a lot for the feedback. It´s highly appreciated! Xenologer, you´re right about the cockpit. I just changed a little. However, the cockpit is too high now, so it cannot close airtight in the back. But hey, it´s Lego. Use your imagination!

Never fear, DJ´s here! Here´s a rough translation and summary of all the important facts: 110 studs long and 64 studs wide Highest point (watchtower) stands 12" tall 13 soldiers 7 pirates 3 boats treasure chests, cannons, and lots of more details housing and beds for the pirates (so I guess there ARE interiors) a bank for the pirates (with coins etc.) warehouse for all the goods I see lots of crates and barrels in the pics, too. Some crates seem to be filled with stuff, but I cannot make out what that is. However, it appears that the whole thing is quite solid. I think it´s a good buy. The parts alone would make a pretty good deal, and with some spare bricks and details one could add a lot of life and realism to this MOC.

And a "station": http://shop.lego.com/Product/Factory/Produ...0a-f284a26bc911 Pieces: 38 Price: EUR 5.09

Hmm, tricky. I don´t have any railtracks, and LDD doesn´t have them any more. But still I thought about the transport system and came up with this track-module, based on the sled-idea. This module can be extended eternally The big disadvantage: It´s terribly expensive http://shop.lego.com/Product/Factory/Produ...17-c052aec3810a Pieces: 81 Price: EUR 13.60

True, you cannot make curves with tiles :( But as I mentioned, tile-tracks would only be good for direct transport, military style. The shortest way is the best way. And a straight line is the shortest way Anyway, here are two pics of the mountainside and wall. Its meant to connect to the left wall of the Sentai HQ on the one side, and to the big orange piece of the machine-bay on the other side.

Can´t tell how much I like this! It´s a beautiful masterpiece!

Public transport sounds great! Do you want us to provide you with input and ideas for those? Or do you already have very specific ideas? I could imagine the public transport to not only connect housing areas, but also the military facilities. On the other hand, military transport should be maximum efficient. So straight lines would be the design of choice for those. And then we would´nt really need to use expensive traintracks or monorails, but could use the sled design with tiles to slide on. Just my 2 cents, thinking while typing I am currently working on a "beginning" type of wall structure. The walls must begin somewhere in the rocks, I suppose. So I am using the BURP piece of LDD for the mountain and start the wall design out of that. I should be ready with the first design tonight. Expect to see pics soon

This Uplink is extremely cool! I already liked the original model, but your improved version really is the cherry topping It would be supercool if you would try your hands on improved alternates. The Uplink speeder is just so cool Oh, and since you already mentioned you are an EF fan, how about participating in Project Sentai Mountain?
-
Definetly! That´s what this idea is all about. Bring in ideas and MOCs, whatever you like and think would fit into the project! I just started with wall segments as I thought some walls are essential for a base After all, the Project Sentai Mountain is about bringing together modular MOCs that are possible to be combined into a giant display. However, if we want to make a modular project like this, we need to think about certain standards, so that the individual MOCs can be connected. Just like Cafe Corner, Market Street and Green Groceries when it comes to City, "Project Sentai Mountain" is what people shall think of when it comes to modular Exo-Force building. This was and is possible in City (as mentioned above), it is possible in Space (Moonbase project) and I´ve seen it in Castles, too. Now it´s up to us to create a modular project for Exo Force. But if there´s no interest in participating in the modular style Sentai Mountain (be it with ideas, suggestions, MOCs or building instructions), this project is doomed before it even started. What we don´t need at the moment are Mechas or vehicles of any kind. We need to concentrate on the base and infrastructure before we populate it. That is walls, towers, housing, garages, command centers and so on. And for all those things we need ideas and suggestions. So yet again I try to encourage everybody who was willing to participate in this project to bring in their ideas, suggestions, comments, MOCs and building instructions.
-
Maybe. I pushed it back from page 3 :D So how about reviving it? Bring on the ideas!
-
It´s a bit of a downer that the interest in this project went into oblivion. So can I assume that this project is dead before it was even really born?
-
Maybe it would look like this? I wanted to build a Star Justice Speeder, but somehow I ended up with only "borrowing" some ideas and giving the thing another color scheme. What do you think? isometric front isometric back Unfolding Lasercannons Pieces: 157 Price: EUR 19.54 http://shop.lego.com/Product/Factory/Produ...d3-a94ad9da9aba

The final version is up. I couldn´t find any other possibilities to reduce costs. The final vehicle now has 805 parts in various colors (clever idea to use bright colors where they aren´t visible. Some colors cost less than others). With the excellent help of Xenologer I was able to bump the price almost 15 bucks down! At a price of 91.99 Euros it´s finally reasonable to actually buy this vehicle I don´t want to retouch this vehicle any more now I still could remove some pieces to reduce costs further, but this is the stage where I would say looks are more important than price reduce. Here´s the link: http://shop.lego.com/Product/Factory/Produ...ce-d653b7b348c5 The model now features a working hatch, separated roof for easy access to interior, and even some nice minifig tools. The futuristic cannon on the passenger side has been removed and exchanged with a mini gattling gun or machine gun. The inner floor has some studs now for better display of minifigs. And the driver now has some more control panels. Have fun with it, folks!

*lol* Okay. When I was looking at your pics I thought you were using something like this or this And couldn´t find out how you did it - or where you found the parts in LDD *lol* You´re right with the transred grills. I´ll execute those. Thanks!
-
Ahh, now I get it. Thanks! Okay, but I think for smootheness I´ll stick to the cheese slopes. And it would only be a difference of 40 cents. The other ideas are good! But what exactly did you do to the roof lights in the first pic? I cannot determine what parts you used there. And I cannot get a windshield to work in place for some reason, too. Did you change anything else for the windshield to fit?
