  1. Damn, you HAD to do that, hadn´t you? Now I´m even more sad that EF stopped.
  2. Wasn´t the mountain "the last place to live" in this post apocalyptic world? True, it´s stupid that everything happens on a single mountain peak. But I envisioned the world of EF to be totally destroyed except the Sentai Mountain.
  3. I was very surprised last weekend when I hit my local Toys R Us. The available Mars Mission sets took most of the shelf space, compared to other themes. And the variety of available sets almost got me to buying some. I especially like the new impulse flyer. Perfect for army building.
  4. Definetly! For example, the red torsos are from some kind of racing line if I´m not totally wrong. These are available in red and orange (at least that I know of), so those could become the casual dresses of the groundtroops (original EF red) and basetroops (original EF orange). If they are available in white, too, they could become the casual dresses of the airforce (original EF white). I then would divide the orange uniforms in Base Defence (original orange EF uniforms) and Base Support (the ones shown here, I think they are Rock Raiders or so...) Civilians need to have some dresses, too. But as of now I don´t have any idea what torsos they could use. After all, the torsos need to look like they belong to the world of Exo Force. Again, I´m open for suggestions of all kind.
  5. Thanks a lot @all. Wouwie: Yep, I´m indeed planning to make those uniforms "standard" of PSM, since they are widely available and fit the scheme.
  6. Yep, and then you´ve got the "kids style TLC version" back in action. I thought you said "let´s take it in directions TLC wouldn´t even think of". TLC doesn´t think of making things realistic, but aimed at kids. That´s why you didn´t have armies at war with Exo Force, but only a handful people, characters kids could relate to. But then again, this idea here is yours and I´m not going to force our projects to couple.
  7. I´ve been to the Lego Store in Cologne last weekend and got carried away with the "Build a Figure" baskets... This is what I took home with me: I don´t know what personell groups these might be yet. I´m thinking about "Groundtroops casual wear" for the red figs, "Base Construction" for the orange figs, and "Security" for the black one. (Sadly that was the only black torso I found in the baskets) But I´m open for suggestions. They also had the purple and the green hair pieces, but I´ve already got plenty of those, so I chose only red and blue. I can still swap the hairpieces Sadly, no black EF hairpieces The accessories are subject to change. I just picked stuff that could be useful for later MOCs
  8. Excuse me, but to be honest I don´t see these two projects being too different. Project Sentai Mountain is about exploring and expanding the world of Exo Force just as this project of yours is. The only difference is that PSM is starting with upgrading and expanding the Headquarter first, before continuing with new battle machines and vehicles. PSM can then be used to create new storylines, or to continue the lose ends the official storyline offered. Personally, I see lots of potential to combine the two projects. As for the "the Robots take over the whole mountain while the Exo Force is on a rescue mission for Sensei Keiken" plot... I don´t think it´s a good idea, neither that it would work. The official storyline depicted in the comics told us that there are 5 heroes kids can play with (counting Hitomi, too), but a whole army of other Exo Force staff with lots and lots of battle machines, too! The rescue mission for Keiken is best suited for a small party, not for the whole army. That´s why in case the Robots would attack Golden City, they would be fought back by the rest of the Exo Force, even if 4 heroes are missing. On the other hand, if the Robots would succeed in taking over the whole mountain while Ryo, Ha-Ya-To, Takeshi and Hikaru are on their mission to rescue Keiken, that would make FIVE people against the whole Robot army spread over the entire mountain. If the whole Exo-Force army couldn´t defend the Golden City against the Robots, how should 5 people possibly lead a rebellion against the Robots and succeed? It just doesn´t make sense, at least not from a "grown-up" point of view. My suggestion would be that the rescue party succeeds in rescuing Keiken and they return to the Golden City. Next logical step would be to improve the defence system, as with the old system the Robots managed to kidnap Humans most important person. The Golden City offers many battle machines (Anyone noticed the fleet of Golden Guardians in the comics?), so there´s no need to use ressources on new battle machines at the moment. On the other hand, the Sentai Headquarter is partly destroyed, but the robots don´t show too much interest in it as it seemed in the comics. The Humans could use their ressources to build digging vehicles, to dig a tunnel between the Golden City and the Sentai Headquarter. Then they could start rebuilding the Headquarter without the Robots noticing that there´s action going on. To distract Meca-1 and his Robots, the Humans could use unmanned vehicles for sneack attacks on the Robot base. The new minirobots would be a good starter to expand on that idea. After repairing the Sentai HQ the Humans have two bases and a tunnel system, which gives them the opportunity to attack from two different points and move unseen and unharmed between the two bases. A clear advantage. This very basic idea already gives us fans a lot of opportunities for MOCs: - New defence systems for the Golden City - Digging Vehicles - Construction Vehicles - Unmanned craft - new Minirobots - new and improved Sentai HQ (this is the point where this project and PSM ultimatly can be united)
  9. I have to admit, I´m with Galanos there. I prefer 80s pop over rock. But I don´t know any ballads of Huey Lewis, to be honest...
  10. hahahahahahahaha! Excellent! Laughing my megablocks off here
  11. You should give the Director´s Cut a try. MUCH better. And if it´s still too bad, try Alone in the Dark. You´ll never see a worse movie ever again :skull: As for the question in question... ( ) If it can be either Space or Mars Mission, I´d strongly suggest the Star Justice Set. I recently saw it live in a Lego store and if I weren´t broke at the moment, I would have picked it up instantly. It´s only 70 Euros in Germany, and the box is REALLY heavy.
  12. This is really, really cool! Amazing that it´s only at 4studs scale. The outer design of the Camaro might need some improvement. The typical look of that car isn´t visible yet. And the Sidepipes that transform to Lasercannons are missing. Build a Condor! And build a Fireforce! Quick!

No kidding? What I mean is it´s pretty basic. There´s some room for improvement there. Good base structure, but needs to be refined, IMO.
  14. Sounds excellent! It´s always a different thing to see something built with real bricks
  15. That would look boring, IMO. There has to be some detailing. Too bad the possibilities are limited with LDD. The 4x4 round bricks with holes in the side would be perfect. Put one at the bottom, add 4 or 5 of the 2x2 round bricks, put another 4x4 round brick above, use technic/stud converters and add whatever you like. A 1x8 tile, a plate, just some 1x1 round transparent pieces, whatever. Let´s just go crazy a while with LDD and see what we may come up with.
  16. Hmm. Okay, it´s bigger. But it looks a little skinny now. At this size the support stands need to be bigger and stronger, I think. Let´s try to come up with a cool looking and still affordable support stand! :)

Okay, this beast is massive! Very impressive. However, I must confess that it´s just a little too blocky for my taste.
  18. Whoa, give us some time to digest the latest one! Then again, bring on the next one as soon as possible, this really got me on the hook!
  19. I second everyone who said he would buy this set. It´s great! Can you give us a breakdown of the parts you used? And maybe some building instructions? The use of the big brown door pieces is marvellous. I´d never have thought about using them this way, so thanks a lot for the inspiration!
  20. I can tell you, I didn´t ;) I have to admit though that I didn´t have time and inspiration lately to build anything. And since a baby is on its way, there won´t be much spare money for bricklink orders in the future. But I´m constantly looking for cheap sets and ebay auctions to add to my collection. We should come up with a good way to build big stuff without needing to have thousands of bricks. Any ideas? So please show us! I´m really looking forward to seeing your expansion.
  21. Very cool camera angles! Did I miss anything or why does Verwaand take off laughing so evilish?
  22. To be honest, I have no memories about the sets mentioned. Do you happen to have some images you could post?
  23. Looking at the pics again and again (and who doesn´t?), maybe some suggestions are okay to make it look less geometric and therefore artifical. You might offset some of the foliage for example. Especially the green at the stairs doesn´t seem to be ancient, but pretty well gardened. So does the facade. I think adding a little damage details, a missing brick here and there to make it look worn from the ages could really add to the overall excellent appearance. After all, it IS an ancient temple, isn´t it?
