Heroica RPG - Quest #42: The Meaning Of It All

Eric and Erdy lay down to rest. Monk Pretzel stays awake for the "first shift", nibbling on pretzels to keep him awake. He sees nothing suspicious, probably because the night doesn't look suspicious. He falls asleep before waking up Erdy for the second shift. This mistake would cause a terrible chain of events... The sun is slowly rising. Eric wakes up, sweating like a maniac. Actually, it wasn't sweat, there was a rabbit sitting on him, peeing. Erdy and Pretzel happen to wake up at the same time, a complete coincidence. Lets hope that Erdy helps that piece of dirt to fulfill its true destiny, or else the world might explode at any moment, for no apparent reason.- 892 replies

LOL its funny how things that I think of randomly on the moment become so important to you silly quest members  Yes I am. Really... maybe you should go to sleep and then try using them in the morning!!? Seriously

"Could you please switch your attack to the lizardman? Thanks." Benji himself switches his second attack to the torchbearer. William attacks Nothus from the back row.

William and Sarick? Your battle actions?
-
Hey mate, I don't think you understand exactly how this works. You can choose one enemy to attack from either the front or back row. "Shield" is the result of the Quest Host rolling the die and getting a 1 for your attack. Since you are a ranger I would recommend attacking from the back row.
-
"OK southern assault party! Lets see what damage we can cause, shall we?" Battle Order (S) Benji Benji William William Sarick Alexander Pizarro Benji attacks Riot Leader Nothus twice from the back row. Elite Cannoneer Pizarro attacks the strumpet from the back row. "Hey guys, let make sure that if there is a free hit, let the free hit be from the Goblin Rioter because he is the weakest."
-
Who doesn't? I'll do my best
-
"Hello there, glad you're on my team, mate!"
-
Benji stretches, more eager for battle than he thought. "Sounds good with me." Benji takes a smelling salts, just in case.
-
Benji returns to the rest of the group with a bleeding nose and an angry expression. Apparently things did not go as he had planned. "Bloody wolfgang! Guts, you were right, if we don't stop the wolfgang then chaos will erupt and devour the entire city of Eubric. I have changed my mind, I will join and protect the Bonapartes." Noticing that many of the party members were surprised at Benji's change of mind, Benji decides to explain what happened while he was gone: "I ran away after Violetta. Yes, I found her. I found her and a band of wolfgang companions who wanted to kill me first and ask questions later. Apparently she remembered that in that quest so long ago... when we captured her... I was the only hero who wanted to turn her in, rather than return her to the Wolfgang! I didn't think that she would remember. She wouldn't even talk to me, but instead gave me the choice to fight or flee. Of course I'm no match for Violetta plus four other warriors, so I fled. So I'm planning on sticking with the group now, in case that Violetta happens to show up again. I'll be protecting the Bonapartes, the only reason why I didn't want to at first was because I thought I might have a chance to make a good impression with the Wolfgang, but it seems now that this isn't the case."

"OK! Well I'm glad that you guys are good and ready to go. Let me go and prepare your drinks." Dr. Trice walks back into his home and then a few minutes later comes back out with 4 drinks. "I have two different recipes, I didn't know which one you'd like better, stickleback brew or magician's mead, so I brought two of each. Each of you can choose one, and I'll take the remaining one, and then you can be on your way!" - Stickleback Brew 2x - Magician's Mead 2x Party members, please choose which drink you would like to take!- 892 replies

Benji also rolls his eyes... "What! Don't tell me you haven't you never heard of the expert job class of Beast Warrior!? Why the Veterans would allow someone as cynical and harsh as you to stay in Heroica is another thing that doesn't make sense."
-
"Honestly, I am interested in gaining more reputation with the wolfgang, but if that is not possible then I might consider aiding the Bonapartes. Right now I'm going to try to track down Violetta to talk with her."
