Yeah I’m hoping the Armoury prelim we saw wasn’t finalised, I can’t fathom basing the set on Iron Man 3 without including the Mark 42. -

@a_clay_brick made a really helpful post on the usual platform (not IG, the other one) summarising the known rumours for August 2025. 75428, 75432, and 75433 are still unknown for the summer wave, taking us to 7 system sets for the summer as a whole (assuming those 3 are system sets). Can’t wait for more information. I know clone fans are eating well next summer but there’s still a lot we don’t know and I doubt Max’s positive hints for next summer were directed towards clone fans only. -

Oh damn, I forgot about that AT-ST! Thanks for correcting me. As much as Lego Star Wars pushes the bounds of reason every year, 11 droids and 2 minifigures for the MTT still sounds absurd - even more more so when considering this is the playscale summer flagship set. I don’t see any reputable leakers corroborating this just yet thankfully. -

Isn’t Lilo and Stitch’s Beach House priced at $89.99 with a piece count of 834 pieces? That sounds like a reasonably priced set all things considered. We can expect Lilo and Stitch to be reuses (would be nice to get four armed Stitch though). With that in mind, I’m sure a $90 price point allows for sufficient budget to include Nani, Jumba, and Pleakley as well surely? 5 minifigures at that price sounds about right. I doubt David or Mr. Bubbles would be included though it would be great if they were. It’s one of my most anticipated sets of 2025, rewatched the film last night and love it just as much as I did as a kid when it first released. Also hope that Pixar 18+ set is a minifigure one. -

I do hope that the increasing emphasis on 18+ gimmick sets year after year is something that LAN will enquire about during Lego’s Fan Media Day event next year, whenever that’s due to be held. It’s one thing to diversify your product portfolio but this is beyond excessive. On a personal level, I’m pretty checked out with Clone Wars stuff unless Lego ever deign to make Season 1 Anakin / Obi-Wan and P1 Rex and Cody, which seems extremely unlikely. I’m happy for those who’ve been wanting Galactic Marines and the 327th for what seems like forever though. We still have 3 sets (75428, 75432, and 75433) unaccounted for so fingers crossed for some heavy hitters. As a rule of thumb, it’d be nice if any characters covered by 18+ sets are also represented in normal sets too. It seems like an enormous tease to get both Kylo’s helmet AND midi-scale Command Shuttle but not a peep of an actual minifigure. Also, I’m sure a minifigure Wicket will be included in his buildable character set - the first time the mould will be used since 2019! Ironic and extremely on-brand for the state of this theme in 2025 that Lego would deign to bring back a character mould for a buildable figure. -

The UT-AT looks a bit too similar to an AT-TE without legs for me, it’s quite an obscure vehicle to pick for what I’m sure will be a £100+ set, but let’s see what the end result is like. @QuiggoldsPegLeg I agree about new moulds being introduced for Microfighters only seeming unlikely, but the 2017 U-Wing Microfighter introduced that awesome dual moulded U-Wing Pilot helmet piece which was never seen again. Hopefully if 2023/4 are any indication, there’s still another 5 or so system sets we can expect? -

I agree it’s not exactly my top choice for a big summer set either (seriously, is a Stinger Mantis that obscenely risky? I will never stop lamenting this), but I’m hoping between this and whatever set has a P1 clone pilot that we get Obi-Wan in his Clone Wars armour. It’s such an iconic look. I’m sure there’s at least 3-4 other system builds this summer although it’s wild saying that as if it’s a big deal. I’ll cling onto Max’s words that we’re in for some good stuff even if they may be few and far between. @icm I agree 2018 has been one of the best years for Lego Star Wars on record. Crazy number of new minifigure moulds, strong builds and coverage of content, plus the Solo sets were incredibly well made despite the relatively low anticipation for the film’s release. -

Hey hey, that’d use up the entire 2026 Lego Superheroes budget. I definitely think there’s merit to a CA: TWS set coming out later given Bucky’s Winter Soldier Outfit and Cap’s TFA outfit and how much figure reuses are common with this theme nowadays. -

This August we got 9 sets all in all - 2 of which were Threepio and the Droid Builder. It does leave quite a bit of room for traditional sets next August too, discounting K2 and Wicket. -

Okay, so discounting polybags and UCS sets: - There are currently 11 Midi-Scale Ships, Helmets, Buildable Characters, and the Logo. - We know of 8 minifigure scaled sets (so far) this year. Including 4+, a mech, and a microfighter. That’s…nuts. I know Lego are trying to entice more adult collectors into the line but minifigure scaled ships and locations are the heart and soul of Lego Star Wars. This is so disappointing. -

The mech could’ve easily been a film set instead, just with different prints on the Superman and Lex minifigures and a different build. Curious as to why Lego chose not to explicitly tie in to the film. -

In retrospect it astounds me how many heavy hitters that initial 2012 wave consisted of in terms of covering key sequences from the films. Moria, Weathertop, Helms Deep, Shelob etc. Crazy! -

@TandNbricks Has been teasing Endor again, I guess that reinforces it will indeed be the next MBS. Also with most themes now having their summer set lists unveiled (including Harry Potter and DC, although the latter only has one set), here’s hoping a Star Wars list isn’t far behind. -

No arguing the direction the Superheroes theme has taken as of late isn’t the best. I keep telling myself that by the time Lego needs to start planning and designing sets for The Batman 2, they’ll have saved up enough pocket money to consider making a dedicated cowl and armour mould for a Battinson figure. I find it odd that Lego decided to make a Superman mech and call it a day rather than produce at least one relatively small tie-in set for the upcoming film with a couple of the main characters. -

Yeah I’m definitely someone who enjoys dragging out build time too, especially with the 1500 piece+ sets. One of the most relaxing things is putting on a bunch of movies in the background and building over the course of a few days. -

Cautiously optimistic about the book nook, as long as there’s minifigures involved. Lego have seen the demand for a set based on the Gandalf vs. Balrog fight for a long time, I can’t imagine they’d bungle this (he said cautiously). Maybe I’m oversimplifying a nuanced issue, but I really don’t understand why there needs to be a binary criteria between having either system-scaled sets aimed at kids OR having high-grade sets aimed at adults who have both the space and income for it. I’m sure plenty of us who have the income to afford what we’re currently getting but aren’t willing to allocate the sheer space needed for these gargantuan (yet doubtless incredible) builds. Whilst it’s a valid point that outside of these small circles the demand for a true Lego LotR return is small, it doesn’t mean that whatever do get should always be breaching the £400 mark every time (and I’m glad 2025 will seemingly break that trend). Surely there is a middle ground that can be reached. -

A Republic Attack Shuttle or V-19 Torrent makes the most sense to me - I know the V-19 hasn’t had much of a media presence recently but Micro Galaxy Squadron have just released one too, so who knows? Getting a LAAT/i in its normal colours isn’t completely out of the question either. Knowing that a P1 Clone Pilot is coming renews my feeble hopes for getting Anakin and Obi-Wan in their early Clone Wars armour along with a P1 Captain Rex. In any case Max definitely has a finger on the pulse of what LSW fans want (he was previously affiliated with Promobricks right?), so if he’s excited then I think we should be too. -

Excellently put. I agree with all of your points but just quoting this one in particular, there definitely was a time where the Superheroes theme put out sets that actually worked well as cool, well thought toys that people of all ages could enjoy. I always look to years like 2016 as the gold standard for what this theme can be - regardless of one’s personal interest in the Ultimate Spider-Man show, sets like the Web Warriors Bridge Battle / Doc Ock Mech / Ghost Rider Team Up were just great toys with an excellent assortment of heroes and villains that weren’t just Venom. Heck, even DC sets used to be phenomenal. In comparison, the recent recurring trend of generic vehicles for characters that have never been known to use them just seems like the easiest and safest route. It doesn’t seem like that much of a step up from the 4+ Juniors sets. -

For better or worse, 18+ gimmick sets are here to stay, at least until their sales numbers decline enough for Lego to pull the plug on them. I do wish these sorts of sets would be produced in moderation rather than almost going toe to toe with normal sets in terms of quantity though (especially for Star Wars, but we can see Harry Potter and Marvel getting diluted by these too). I get the impression that Lego realised during and after COVID that their system of bricks can really be pushed as a medium rather than merely a line of toys, which is why they continue to experiment more and more with expanding their product portfolio. The Marvel logo looks excellent in terms of how well the text is realised with Lego bricks, but sets like that seem utterly boring for me personally; at least buildable droids have some novelty to them. As the SW Logo supposedly doesn’t include minifigures and has a larger piece count, I can imagine it including a collection of minibuild ships from all three trilogies ‘flying’ around it. Given that some leakers clearly know what’s coming next summer, I hope a full set list isn’t that far off. Piecemeal nuggets of information are a nice way to sustain excitement and I get that the good leakers try to protect their sources, but sometimes I wish we could just get full set lists. -

Great stuff, the Death Trooper helmet is by far one of the most well designed and well proportioned helmet moulds we’ve ever gotten in this theme so it’s nice to see it making a comeback 8 years later. As much I respect that army builders want a more generic Battle Pack to amass multiple copies of, I (selfishly) hope Enoch is still included in this. I can’t really imagine Lego producing any more Ahsoka sets after this. Plus, it’s not like we’re getting many new moulds outside of Plo’s head and the P1 clone helmet next year as it is.
