  1. Sorry to find this late and not that it will make any difference, but: Signed.
  2. Its tough to get one going again, what with the recent spate of community builds on EB. The original has only just been unpinned a few months back too. Time will tell how it progresses in future as it is a great way for people to improve upon their skills and work as a team too. Well, if it ever did come back, I know that I for one would love to participate.
  3. Why is it that even at 25 years of age bathroom humor like this still makes me smile? :-) Nice work.
  4. I've always really enjoyed ships that follow the classic color scheme of yellow and black. Out of curiosity, would reducing the number of guns on the ship increase its historical accuracy?
  5. This is a very fun MOC. I think the use SOT (as apposed to SNOT) really gives it a classic flair. The blue coat in the well is a nice gag and there is a lot of detail to book. My only recommendation would be to say that interiors to the buildings would be nice.
  6. Years ago the folks over at Classic-Castle did attempt a sort of modular standard system of their own for large displays and such. I think they even put on a few shows with it. Here's a link.
  7. I think this is a great start, but I'd really like to see a brick-built version of it later. Also, way to go for aligning yourself with the redcoats.
  8. This ship is absolutely gorgeous. It puts any shipbuilding I have ever tried to shame.
  9. I always enjoyed using the green knight from KKII as the knight from Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. Of course, later on they put a monkey the green knight's armor and that really ruined the effect.
  10. I love the sails. I think you've really made it a foreboding ship.
  11. You could potentially find some way to connect the two ends by using Lego rubber bands (or regular rubber bands if you aren't a purist) and hooks like this: or any other variety of the many Lego hooks available.
  12. Nice work. The kitchen is my favorite detail you've included (I love the exhaust fan). If I could make a recommendation though, the yellow walls on the side might be better in another color. Just my opinion though.
  13. Nice work. Is there any chance we'll see this in real brick form or in ray tracing?
  14. That is simply amazing. I think my favorite part is how it opens up to show the side bay with all the cannons. My only recommendation is that it would be nice if the walls tapered a little more in order to be more realistic. Regardless, this is incredible.
  15. This is a fun little MOC but it fills me with envy because of the white palm tree.
  16. I'm impressed with what you were able to put together with such a limited inventory of pieces.
  17. I am indeed a pirate fan although Castle is my first love (blasphemy, I know). I figure that this fortress is a good hybridization between the two themes.
  18. The flexible tubing is ingenious. Nice work.
  19. That one is always a hit whenever I show my creation to somebody. I really look forward to that!
  20. Hello Eurobricks/Classic-Pirates, This is my first post on this message board so if I break any normal conventions typical to this site please forgive me. I recently finished photographing a large fortress I made last summer. I have named it Fortress Redband because of the red band that encompasses the fort just below its crenellations. Anyway, here are some pictures (note that the pictures are links to larger images): This is just a general front shot of the fortress. And here's a general picture from the back. One of my favorite rooms is the dining hall. I also like the kitchen (with the woman screaming because of a mouse). The prison is also a favorite of mine. I tried to include a lot of details like pirates running from soldiers, monkeys in trees, and more. Let me know what you think. I'd love recommendations for improvement (although at this point I think I'll just tear the fort down and try harder next time). Thanks for reading most post and expect to see much more of me soon. Here are links to the fort's Brickshelf and Flickr folders: Brickshelf Flickr I recommend visiting the Flickr page because I went a little crazy with photographing this thing and it doesn't fit well on Brickshelf. -Tycho McKorley Edit: Shoot, I posted this in the wrong forum. Would and administrator or moderator please be kind enough to move it for me?
