Its time for a DRAG RACE.... In true TG style, Lego Stig faces down his toughest rivals yet... Of course, there can only be one winner... Lego Stig celebrates in his usual nonchalant manner....

Now that you mention it i can't remember S1 & S2 either, although at the time, I probably wasn't too bothered about them. When I did see the packets it was probably because I bought them on ebay. I think if we knew how many of each fig were released into the wild, and how many packets are still left unsold, we might get a better idea. I only used these numbers as there is little else to use. Yes, the results are probably flawed, even the "wants" cloud the issue. This brings us back to people's personal preference. Of all the minifigs sold worldwide, how many are actually recorded on Brickset ? The total of all owned S1 figs, on Brickset, is 52,398 - is that number a good indication of worldwide sales of Series 1..? Anyway I'm going to hunt down some more baseball players, to go with the thirteen I already have...

Roller coaster idea
CamelBoy68 replied to Zerobricks's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Looks like a great starting point... A couple of things would wheels with tires on them be better, as I think friction is going to be a killer...? the initial drop is going to be quite steep to get the kinetic energy to complete the track would you use some technic link tread (3873) with a few technic pins to drag the cars up the first slope & motorise that part... That's all I could think of so far.... -
LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 8 Rumours & Discussion

Don't forget the Vampire from S2... -
Hi JackJonesPaw, These conclusions are only the result of looking at Brickset's data - I haven't added any personal bias to the figures. Maybe people aren't updating their Brickset collections as much - which might explain the lower numbers on 5-7. I also like the S5-7 sets, although I do pick & choose and buy multiples of various ones...

an interesting topic, which got me thinking... Using the Owned/Wanted data on brickset.com - I looked to see if S3 was the worst out of everything. I found some interesting results: As you can see from this table, S3 is actually the most owned series out of all 7 , with the newer ones bringing up the rear. If we look futher into the data, we can see that overall the most owned figure is the Gorilla Suit Guy from S3. This table shows the Top 10 most wanted overall, with the Spartan Warrior (S2) being highly sought after. Without making this thread too picture intense, I'll finish with two more interesting & colourful tables.... This one shows the number 1 owned figure in each series, bringing up some interesting results and finally, the least owned figure by series As you can see, it doesn't look like we want too many snow/ice based figs.... I have more colourful tables on my Flickr Page, should you be that way inclined. I have included the Brickset ratings & reviews, although I don't think you should take these to be any sort of guide, because I don't think things like "building experience" should count on items with only 5 parts.... Like with most things, people have their favourites and sales data would give a better picture, however, I think the fact that you tend to be buying the packet, without knowing what minifig was inside , might skew the results to a particular model. The data was collected today (20 May 2012), so the numbers for the newer series should increase. As usual, your thoughts/comments are much appreciated.

In my thoughts for designing an entry to the recent architecture comp, I had come up with doing the VAB at Kennedy Space Centre. However, when I finished it (in LDD) I thought it looked too big for the theme of the comp, so decided to scale it down and make a smaller one. So I finally got round to building the big version. As you can see, at this scale I can do the NASA Meatball better and the doors look better too. It didn't look possible to do the stepped door look on the smaller version, so I just did the top part. This version is more realistic to the building in this sense. I have done a comparison shot of the two models, as you can see the micro version's black base is just a little smaller than the roof of the big one... All I need now is a better rocket...

I agree with Legocrazy81, a great build and he's very cute when built, As for the internal colors, I don't mind as you're not going to see them anyway... Next stage will be to get some motors in....

Thanks for all the great feedback, much appreciated.. If you look at oggy's pic, you'll see it does overhang quite a way, plus I don't think your suggestion would work with the way I built the roof, but I'll have a look at it. Well a few more gritters for a start, I bought enough parts for about 5 as I'm working out a larger MOC... No I didn't take any during the build as I designed it on LDD and used its "step-by-step" instructions so it wasn't a linear type build....
