  1. Cool comic! The set design and posing is really good and it has a classic comic story. My one suggestion would be to move the speech bubble tails so that they don't connect to the characters' mouths.
  2. Thanks, both! Glad the intent is coming through to the reader!
  3. Isn't the Faathar system where Benny comes from? AKA Will Farrell's healthy classic space collection...
  4. Not really a robot, but an alien. You have the part right - I think the idea came from Legostar Galactica? Or some other comic.
  5. Oh man, who will save Scouse though?
  6. The landing gear came out perfectly! Nice MOC.
  7. That's a cool idea, too.
  8. Wait - Roland's not going to die, right? I thought this wasn't that kind of comic! On the edge of my seat now...
  9. A cheese slope would be an okay representation of a viper, if it's to scale
  10. Haha oh my God that guy is Ron Burgundy!
  11. I think one of the cool things about the 90's themes is that they were competing factions but not necessarily heroes and villains, so you could imagine compelling characters on either side. I would love to get a new wave of space sets that tells that "heroes on both sides" story well (which I am learning is pretty common in space and mecha anime).
  12. Time to take a break from the rogues and revisit the Imperial Navy, introduced in 002.
  13. No, no, think of it as museum-quality display for us to ogle over.
  14. My favorites are the ones where the characters do their actual jobs (which is why the gemini twins are my favorite characters) over the more recent personal adventures. I do appreciate the way the comic has matured in the production value and writing. I wonder if your recent City set purchases are what have skewed the comic away from true and pure space or if it's the other way around. This is still my favorite LEGO comic so just keep doing what you're doing!
  15. I regret not having the ship pop out of the lines on this one.
  16. USS Voyager by Jerry Builds Bricks, on Flickr This is a builder I follow who has done some 1:1000 scale style models. I think he posts instructions online but I've never investigated. I suspect fan preference is the biggest factor over the technical challenges. Even though the classic space guys, with their primary colored uniforms, should be a shoo-in for Federation officers, the release of Star Wars in the same time frame probably cemented a cultural relationship that is only further reinforced today.
  17. I thought it might be that simple, but it's really well hidden. How did you manage to hide that setup in the last panel in Thunderbird 15?
  18. I try to keep it that way. At the very least, the people and spaceships are all things I've built in real life.
  19. The flying chair is coming out great. How do you set up the photos to make it look like it's flying?
  20. Another update, comparing it to two other ships in its weight class. Anyone have recommendations for shaping? I want to get it away from the boxy aesthetic but I don't have much in yellow besides plates and regular bricks.
