  1. I do not think they bother much when selecting the AFOLs' models. The only round that looked like they care about the older builders was the February one. If you take a closer look at the crane ship, the crane does not look very steady at all.
  2. It is a pitty that you did not test the mentioned 81.6 x 38 ones. I use them on my truck and traction is really great. Anyway thank you for your effort with the video.
  3. Love this. I cannot wait to see the video.
  4. DludersThank you, my aim was to build a car with dynamic shape and lines. ZbljBecause of the XL motors, I was very limited with space and surprisingly after a few test this worked best. These
  5. I have been working on the picture instructions when disassembling my Ford GT 40 Mk.IV after its return from the exhibition. If you are interested you can find them here The whole car has got 1544 elements in total and weighs 1.6 koligrams and features independent wheel suspension, 1M motor for steering, 2XL motors for wheel drive, 3 sets of PF lights, opening doors and bonnet and adjustable driver seat. If you lack some pictures it is because some parts are build the same, just the other way round (e.g. the rear axles). There are definitely some places for improvement. I know about at least three things I am not satisfied with. Here is the
  6. Thank you especially for the A-10. Nice shape and functions.
  7. I do not want to dissapoint you, but I have seen much faster one two weeks ago. There were just two buggy motors...well a picture should be better.
  8. The flex axles cannot be bent that easily and the other advantage is that you can cut the pneumatic hose to the exact length you need. I found them very useful especially when building my Ford GT. As I wrote above, there are just two cannons, no flick missiles.
  9. SEA HARRIER Mk.I Finally I found some time to take pictures of my latest built plane which returned from the Czech LEGO forum exhibition a month ago. It has been built at the end of February, but stayed closed in the museum for nearly four months. Dimensions 69x43x16.5 cm. Penumatically retractable main and side landing gears. The red light on the top of the fuselage changes the nozzle angle. Joystick hidden under the panels on the top of the fuselage controls ailerons and elevons and the red lever next to it controls the rudder. The 12 tooth bevel at the bottom opens and closes the air brake. Two competition cannons underneath the wings are the only armanent of this jet plane. Video can be seen
  10. I usually hate custom things like painting, using non-LEGO elements and electronics, but this little thing is very nice.
  11. I especially love the way you dealt with the boom. And again the LTC logo is a great idea.
  12. Sandhill Crane It has got a working winch, turning body and moving neck by means of 1 Linear Actuator and a moving head. The max load is 240 grams, useful load is around 100. It is not any heavy duty crane. It is more a fun project and there was not enough place to gear especially the winch enough down. All the functions are controlled by two M motors with transmissions, so each motor operates two functions. At maximum it is 50cm tall with a head up and 52 cm long with a neck down and head forward. More pictures and video soon.
  13. Yes, the knees are the tires. It has got a working winch, turning body and moving neck by means of 1 Linear Actuator and a moving head. The max load is 240 grams, useful load is around 100. It is not any heavy duty crane. It is more a fun project and there was not enough place to gear especially the winch enough down. 14. I definitely will not. But I wish there was some way to make a 50 cm tall bird from LEGO walk.
  15. Because I am building this: The SANDHILL CRANE is going to have a working winch, moving head and neck (I would not definitely call it a boom) and rotating body standing on the legs.
  16. I think that they are not going to accept my model again. Even though it is going to be exactly according to their required description.
  17. Dluders: without the jump and turning around it would be possible. Anyway, here is my 23rd alternative model of 8271 Technic set. The monoplane features working ailerons operated by the lever in the cockpit and the propeller rotated by the 8tooth gear on the left side.
  18. Pretty nice. If it was released as a Model Team set, I would buy it.
  19. Strange thing is, that I bought mine in Czech republic on the 6th July, but there is only one e-hop that offers it.
  20. Well, I think that they are choosing the AFOL's contribution very strangely. Once they show 13 models, in a few months only 4. I was a bit surprised when my astronaut did not make it there although there were so many positive reactions. The only thing that came to my mind is that they maybe did not allow it beacuse of the "American" flag. The same it was with the da Vinci's flyer in the first round and it happens every round that I see some model that should definitely be shown.
  21. My third version of my FTTS International Trial Truck. Still driven by one XL and steered by one M motors, only the steering angle has improved and the whole truck is now 65 grams lighter than it used to be, even when some details as rearview mirrors and grills have been added.
