    Darksten accepts his award, and says his thanks for the increased reputation before nodding to his quest mates and heading back to the hall. ooc: Thanks for the good quest!

    As the question is asked of the heroes, Darksten recognizes the voice but is put off guard as it is not supposed to be from one of the three gathered before them. "I assume the Bonaparte leader has something more important to do and must project in" he thinks to himself. As the Heroica party lead speaks, the assassin gives a slight nod of aggreance but wishes he was a bit more eloquent. However, since the basics were said, he saw no reason to repeat the facts.

    "Thank you ma'am." Darksten replies as he takes his key. Having slipped into old formality, he realizes his opinions of the knight had changed since they first started out on this quest. It probably helped too that compared to the harlot, anyone seemed better he surmised to himself.

    With the innkeeper locked behind the door, and the negotiations concluded, Darksten suddenly realizes he is in the same position as the harlot as he does not have a room for the night. Turning to the knight he asks: "May I share in one of your rooms tonight? I will pay of course"

    With the the argument at the counter in full swing, the assassin misses the hint from the innkeep that their old enemy may be around. "Harlot, you are a fool. You came in here last time and conned this man out of his pay, and now you try to slander others as if he won't remember who stole from him? The knight has a good reputation amongst members of the Sun Gold Alliance, and the noble Commodore has seen her fight for the cause. Just stand down already, we are tired of your antics."

    "I'm ok if the wraith gets the eyes" Darksten states simply, as if the loot distribution was some sort of democracy.

    "I wouldn't mind a ruby and those fire bombs among my loot, but I am flexible" Darksten replies "I am always happy to take those eyes for the gold value if you want to give them to me... just because" As the assassin continues to the inn, he turns to the commodore "true, yet it seems these lands have thousands of secrets they have not yet revealed. One could spend a lifetime in the city and not see everything"

    With the battle over and the cargo destroyed, the assassin shifts through the wreckage. The pause refreshing after the constant fighting. He helps gather the loot, hoping to find something of rare so he can claim it first. At the end really only the firebombs and the rubies interest him. To the commodore he replies: "There always seems to be something new in this line of work, yet it all seems the same in the end. I get the feeling that won't be the last we saw of that bird, and for all we know there are more of them out there. Perhaps ones of ice or lightning too we will have to contend with. But yes, for now it would be wise to arm the men appropriately and perhaps hire a weather Mage or two to accompany the shipments for further support." Seeing the Weeping Inn on the horizon he continues. "Alas it is getting dark and I think our work here is done. Shall we retire to the Inn over there? Perhaps the innkeeper has some other interesting stories we may be interested in."

    As the man falls, then bursts into the new creature, the assassin is a bit shocked. However he doesn't have time to linger as he continues his attack. Darksten repeats, attaching the ants from the back.

    As the assassin sees his arrows take out the enemy, he savers the moment brought by the rare one hit kills. The joy is short lived however as his primary target still stands and continues to bring forth new foes. "Why does it always seem that I need to fight bugs?" Darksten thinks to himself as he repeats his attack on the one human enemy standing in the battle "at least there are no spiders"

    Darksten repeats, but indicates to the Commodore he can throw his Neptune bomb. "Shall we use this so that the battle doesn't get away from us? I feel it is time to put out the fire"

    Darksten repeats, hoping he will find a vital area to eliminate this foe quickly

    As the battle starts, Darksten assesses he situation unsure at first the best path. Eventually he feels that luck is with him and launches an arrow towards Filip. Darksten attacks Filip from the back Edit: ooc: also, not to be greedy, but for accounting sake, we never got the loot from the last fight...

    As the charmer withers before them, Darksten downs a Nostrum waiting to move on. When the old man stands and challenges then, the assassin can all but sigh. "Imperialists? I think you are mistaken in your advanced age. While the other guilds are out seeking to settle foreign land, the Sungold Alliance is only currently trying to help the homeland via internal fixes. Far from being imperialistic if you ask me. Alas, if you are destined to fight, you could have at least stood up and given us something to do while we waited old man. The distraction of the charmer may have served you well. Unfortunately, now you will meet a similar fate, and will have only cost us time in our advance of the common good,"

    As the remedy soaks into the assassin's skin, his rage simmers and then fades. As the last effects leave him, he notches an arrow just to be safe and then stands idly by waiting for the last foe to meet his fate ooc: I am ok auto rolling with no one attacking.

    Darksten starts to feel the same anger boil up in him as he reaches for an arrow. He tries to fight the urge and do nothing but he has a suspicion the greater forces were at play...

    The glassed over eyes of the harlot seem out of place, and the assassin feels he may have succumbed to one if his diseases. To be surer Darksten shifts a few feet away from the general direction of where the blind man is looking before replying so his voice is in a new location... "Oh, that is right. You don't buy things, you simply con the innocent and steal what you want. You're a low life and I am happy to not be like you"

    As the hex fades away, Darksten is slightly startled to see he has attacked a fellow quest mate, even if he was annoyed by the man. The assassin took solace in the fact that at least his arrow had flown true and the likely diseased fool was only saved by the ancient protection of heroica (or at least that is what he told himself). Out of the corner of his eye he also saw the knight angling towards him, and he quickly shot her a look to let her know he knew what she had tried... However when the harlot tried to read his new book, Darksten rolled his eyes and was distracted as he knew there was no way the man before him could actually comprehend the tome he had just opened. "Did you buy that book because you misunderstood what a blowing wind meant harlot?" The assassin asks incredulously while doing nothing and waiting for the charmer to finish burning.

    Darksten attempts to attack charmer from the back row "Commodore. If you would be so kind as to use one of my remedies in me if you are. It too busy" the assassin asks.

    With the roar of the dragon and swirling flames around him, Darksten loses site of his foe. As he notches another arrow he feels the anger towards the Harlot suddenly and inexplicably surge inside him. He fights the urge to unleash on the man, but isn't sure he can hold forever... Darksten does nothing in the back (unless hexed forces an attack on an ally automatically) ooc: I don't know, but I imagine we might have to use the commodore to cure us. Other wise we might not survive 55 rounds of shooting each other in the back. Especially as my bow ignores armor...

    Darksten watched as the harlot tried to shove the knight and then begin flail across the battlefield. As he darted in front of the assassin's airborne arrow, Darksten had a fleeting hope it would hit the annoying whore. The distraction cost him however, as the charmer caught Darksten's arm and slashed a cut across it. He quickly refocused and was able launch back into the attack. Darksten repeats with Composite Crossbow from the back.

    Darksten saw the honorable Hinckwell hesitate at going into the pockets of the harlot and sympathized with with him as certainly no one could ever want to go into that man's pants. So the assassin spoke out, attempting to give the man some cover... "You heard him say he was 100% behind serving the alliance so he should have no issue if you borrow it. But you can use one of mine on the prophet if you prefer. Just try not to throw of my aim when you are retrieving it from my pack please" Ooc: haha, fair enough. It was worth a shot for role play, but alas I am stopped by the kinder powers to be. Lol! Nothing against you Cutcobra, I would have made sure you received a replacement through a third party after the quest was over.

    With the smell of burning fur filling the air, Darksten watches as the creatures fall to the flames and his arrows. With few enemies remaining, Darksten shifts targets. Darksten attacks charmer from the back "Commodore, could you take the Phoenix Essence from the harlot (Heckz) and use it on our undead friend (Althior)?" the assassin says with a bit of a smile as he sees a way to revenge the stolen room Ooc: Can the Commodore use items from KO'd members inventory? (Aka rummage through their pockets as they lay limp on the ground)

    As his arrow slams into its target, a smile starts to form on the assassin's face. It grows slightly wider as he watches the knight get knocked around a bit too. The scene at the bar hadn't played out as he had expected, but the whore had distracted them enough and made himself the bigger idiot, so Darksten was happy she wasn't getting hurt. Perhaps he could spin it as him having saved her with his drink? First he had to keep up his advantage though... Darksten repeats from the back row
