  1. I hate to pick one of my own NPCs, but I love the way every piece fit together to make Luke. The simple staff, the Tatooine Luke legs, the white arms with Lion torso combo, the white cape, and the bearded face with the elven hair - it all made sense together. Probably my favorite combination. It was a wall with a door in it and two guards. It didn't take that long to think up.
  2. I attack Uma from the Back Row with my Briar Bow.
  3. Alexandre and Arthur's two quests were both mine, and mine usually have more battles, and they were also two of the players that received extra XP in Q17.
  4. I pause for a split-second, watching Hybros kill his foes so rapidly and efficiently. Useful skill for a hero to have, that. I whip another arrow out of my quiver, firing on Uma from the Back Row with my Briar Bow.
  5. Which pattern? The black areas are just regular bricks, except for the center section of the wings, which has some headlight bricks in it. The edges of the wings are hinges, tiles, and plates, and the lines on the sides of the wings are tiles. No plans of building it in real bricks at the moment; the design is too fragile, and the model is overall too small.
  6. I attack Uma from the Back Row with my Briar Bow.
  7. Actually, 160 Gold isn't extremely expensive, but it isn't nothing for heroes that aren't Rogues. It's probably around half to a third of what I'd make on a quest in Gold or items immediately exchanged for Gold, and it only results in +1 SP.
  8. I was under the impression that that was the rule in the first place. Anyways, that's what I think works best. Yay! Only 160, actually.
  9. If you make SP non-upgradable, Knights become much weaker. One of the major factors that makes Knights strong is that they can upgrade their SP. When I first started dropping artifacts to give SP to other classes, the ability to upgrade the SP is what kept Knights more powerful defensively than the heroes who carried artifacts. As they increase in Level and face harder enemies, Knights will become the weakest class for around ten Levels until they can multi-class.
  10. I've added what info I could to the first post. Note that some info that has been filled in, such as Subtheme and Minifigs, may not be complete, and I've listed some sets that could be PT as CW. I've also added a new section to the information of each rumored set entitled, 'Source', which includes a link to the source of the rumor.
  11. Looks like, for now, TLG's continuing to produce TOR sets, which also means that there're no OT BPs in this wave. I also think that the A-wing will turn out more popular than we thought, because it includes Ackbar. That should be the cheapest set he's appeared in. (other than the Ackbar/Leia/Threepio magnet set from before the glued magnet era)
  12. I wouldn't go so far as to call a Warden an extreme Defense class, just because they actually do take Damage during Aura. Their Aura roll alone is weaker than the Sentinel and the Guardian Angel rolls. The advantage of Aura is that it can allow the Warden to heal himself, and that's where the SP really matters. Without any SP, the Warden is a weak Ranger who's probably going to get Knocked Out during his Shield roll. I know I'm biased when I say this, but Defense is the Warden's only strength, and because of the mechanics of his Shield, it's less fair to have an SP-piercing enemy than it is to apply the "ALOD" rule.
  13. WBD got me Knocked Out in large part because I was inside that rug and took the hits from the other heroes, not the enemy, and heroes generally deal more Damage than enemies. (I'm not saying it wasn't a creative way of getting me Knocked Out, but I didn't take those hits from the enemy itself) I do agree, though; Defense from the Back Row is the Warden's only draw. As compared to the other classes with defensive Shields, Warden actually takes Damage, unlike the Knight's Sentinel, and lacks the protection from effects that Paladin's Guardian Angel has. High SP is pretty much the only way to take full advantage of the Warden's defensive potential, because it allows the Warden the chance of healing himself without Ether after an Aura. If you make a Warden face an SP-piercing enemy, you've basically taken away his one advantage, and now he's just a weaker Ranger, without Triple Shot and with a Shield that could very well get him killed on a roll that's supposed to be the best. Contrasted with the "ALOD" rule, which might be illogical and somewhat unfair, but it doesn't completely strip the Warden of his strength.
  14. If it helps on the logical side of things, I reason out the taking at least 1 Damage by assuming that the enemy didn't pierce my shield, he just hit it hard enough to push it backwards and bruise me.
  15. To be honest, I would have liked any of the three rumored OT sets, though the A-wing would be my last choice of the three, as well. TLG does seem to be redoing a lot of its smaller and medium-sized vehicles, though, so the A-wing makes sense. And if this coming year's OT sets are on the smaller side, I won't really mind, because LotR has some nice sets that I want to get, too. TLG's never really quite gotten the curves of the A-wing right, much as they've never really gotten the angles of the Snowspeeder right. They've used the same basic A-wing design for years, so it will be interesting to see if they can improve the design of the A-wing. I'm not sure if they can do that within the strength and connection limitations of an official set, though. As for the CW set...well, I can't say I'm excited for it, but I haven't really been that excited for a CW set in a few years. Technically, the A-wing is a Jedi set.
  16. It continues to amaze me, how much articulation you can manage to get into such small spaces.
  17. There's Argo Brick Models, conchology's site on rendering LDraw models with MegaPOV on a Mac.
  18. No, plenty of QMs have left players behind for long portions of quests. (sorry posades ) The Zepher way would be to get rid of the SP by taking away all the players' stuff.
  19. I just wanted to say that this conversation is quite fun to watch, listening to QMs discuss how to get around my SP. I forget. We knew Dastan had the Dragon Knights, so we started with that color scheme. JimB suggested the mountainous, dry climate with the flying natives. (I think the Rito were the first species created during the development of the three quests) Based on Zeph's outline, we knew that JimB and I would both have our parties at Fort Drakon at the same time, so JimB did his set, and I think we all drew from that for the architectural style. Everything else was done based on what pieces we each had that could fit into the rough color scheme and style. (for example, I designed Emperor Alandri's wing based on the fact that I'd gotten a ton of tan 1x3 bricks at PaB a couple years ago)
  20. Ah, perfect timing. This is a good example of a poor rumor. (nothing against you, ablake90, I just want to use this 'rumor' you quoted as an example ) There is no source for the 'rumor' - he merely says that the sets "have been talked about". Those aren't even rumors, despite what he says. "Some people have said they would love...", "Fans seem to be asking..." - those are examples of wishes, not rumors. This is the kind of 'rumor' and resulting discussion that would belong in Future Star Wars Sets, if you wanted to discuss the desire for such sets.
  21. They shop being discussion of rumors when they are no longer based on a rumor, and these are based on a rumor. The Clones discussion comes from the possibility of a new Yoda in the Yoda's Hut that could double as a Clones Yoda. The Pod Bucket thing doesn't belong here, but the other half of that post does, and I can't split individual posts.
  22. Well, no, technically not. There was the rumor that one of the sets would be an A-wing, Yoda's Hut, or an Ewok Village. Rumors belong here. The possibility of one of those sets has lead to all kinds of speculation about Yoda minifigs and Ewok playsets and such, which are probably wishes but just manage to stay within the realm of what is allowed in this thread, by being derived from the A-wing/Yoda's Hut/Ewok Village rumor.
  23. I usually do Immune to Effect in the color of that effect. No idea if that's how it's supposed to be done or not.
