  1. No, it's okay; I have no desire for that particular island; I was just confused. If you could make that island just south-east of Moria a little bigger, I'll take that one instead. (or if you can't change the size, that's fine, too) My land has, since the first time land was given out, been named the Isle of Bricdocton. (it's in the first post of the Avalonia thread, too - very original name, I know )
  2. I look around the quickly-emptying Hall. My plate is clean, my stomach full, my thirst quenched, many of my fellow heroes on a quest, and I have little to do but wait. "I'm not doing anything while I wait. Anyone up for a trip to the Fields of Glory?"
  3. Happy birthday, Luxor V.
  4. I know I haven't been active in Historica for a while, but I do plan to build for Avalonia, and I must ask: why is the island upon which my #6 watchtower from Challenge 1 built now named something else? (Ynys L'tgamir, if I read the map correctly)
  5. In regards to the division of loot, I try to give loot as evenly as possible to all the members of the party, with no consideration for what other gains or losses they might have had. In the case of expended Ether, Mages and Clerics know what their limitations will be in that stat when they first roll their character. Mages trade their shot limit for the elemental versatility. Clerics get to heal, and if that's not enough of a compensation for the Ether limitation, they're in such demand that being a Cleric gives you a great chance of getting into quests. Similarly, in the case of Gold gained, Rogues sacrifice their durability for that advantage. Rogues can gain Gold, but their Health is only slightly higher than a Ranger's, and they have to attack from the Front Row or retrieve a weapon every other turn. Rogues often have to use more consumables than other classes, which they have to buy with that Gold. The classes' stats and abilities are all already (designed to be) balanced; they shouldn't need loot compensation for their abilities or limitations. There are exceptions, of course, such as the Lover's Locket that I kept for myself for roleplaying reasons (*gasp*) because I didn't see Docken as being a character to be Enamored with anyone; and if someone did what Guts did and reaped a ridiculous amount of Gold, then I might give them a little less, but I usually try to keep things even. Now, if Clerics started charging Gold for their services, then I'd definitely consider giving them a smaller share, because that, I think, is abusing the power of your role in a battle, a role which you knew you'd be taking on when you first created the character. That being said, if any player, Cleric, Mage, Rogue, or otherwise, did something extraordinary to help win a battle that I think would be beyond what a character can be expected to do, then I would consider giving them a larger share, and I wouldn't be against "tipping your healer" if such tipping was deserved.
  6. I'm fairly certain that there isn't.
  7. Oh. Forestmen are better than elves.
  8. If Rangers had an Ammo stat just as Mages have an Ether stat, why would anyone choose to be a Ranger instead of a Mage? If you're going to have a limit on your number of shots, why wouldn't you just be a Mage and get the elemental attack and option of using a melee weapon? The only advantages to being a Ranger would be the Animal Talk and Aim. The main point of being a Ranger in the first place is being able to attack at full strength from the Back Row without needing Ether or retrieving a weapon.
  9. I say again, we are not supposed to see any pictures before the release of this wave. (other than what TLG unveils at events, obviously) The pictures in the retailers' catalog are for retailers' eyes only. If things went the way TLG intended them to, we wouldn't even know the names of the sets that are in the catalog. If we do get to see them, then that is a lucky leak and not a fulfillment of a right.
  10. Happy birthday, Cecilie.
  11. All the traps are in the ceiling trees. Pick up a stick and start poking.
  12. Helmet color is wrong; chest emblem is wrong. Cape is wrong, but close enough to the color scheme to be acceptable.
  13. It was a backstory established in the time when I still tried to roleplay. Those were dark times...
  14. I think we're being a bad example for the newbie. No, it's a shuriken-throwing Crusader. A Crusader that throws shurikens, not a Shuriken Crusader. Also, the mention of Crusader in the Hall upon which the shuriken-throwing Crusader encounter was based was a mention of Crusaders opposed by Forestmen as part of one of Docken's stories, a clear reference to TLG's storyline and their Crusaders.
  15. That's a real life Crusader. A LEGO Crusader looks like this:
  16. What? In Post 12630, I quote Post 12628: When Heroica first started, for example. That was some wild roleplaying.
  17. What? Where? Do one of your drawings for the class' example picture.
  18. As proof of Heroica's being a true RPG, we started a drinking game before we even went on a quest.
  19. Ah, thanks. That's why I asked here; you're faster than Google and my ability to skim the Hall topic. Oh, found it; the orc thing was started by Trotter (Fives). Right after Bacari got bitten in the arm while killing and capturing birds.
  20. Crazy Ranger Elgar tries to eat a whole cow; Crazy Ranger Bacari jumps off of a chandelier and fires a poisoned arrow into that cow; and Crazy Ranger Docken flips over a table providing 1d20 of protection! I forgot, which is the hero that tried to get everyone in Heroica Hall to attack a procession of orcs in a forest before Q1 began? Who introduced that one? I can't remember if it was Jedi master Brick, JediAnakin, or Darth Nihilus.
  21. When Heroica first started, for example. That was some wild roleplaying.
  22. If those names have any meaning, I'd think that at least one of them is the name of a Veteran. (past or current)
  23. My only previous knowledge of side quests was with Zeph's, (though I never was a hero in one of those) so I figured that all the side quests were different, and each of us had similar side quests involving unimportant NPCs and small sacrifices. (though at the beginning, I thought the side quest would have a larger impact on the main quest)
  24. Short legs in orange are new for 2012 Ninjago sets, while original Hermione's hair in black appears in a variety of Town/City sets. (and one Star Wars set)
