Heroica RPG - Expert Job Class Discussion
Brickdoctor replied to LEGOman273's topic in The Heroica Archive
Hmm? OH! Oh...Shhhh... Isn't it more of a case of you and another hero not wanting me to be able to Damage them? -
"That is interesting. As you say, it seems that the Veterans have moved on from the duties of Heroica and are dealing with problems of their own. I suppose I always imagined they would stay in some war room or council room somewhere in the depths of this Hall, keeping track of everything we all did at all times. Making sure we represent the organization well, and things like that."

Ah, I see.So as it turns out, I ended up making an incorrect assumption and adding more unnecessary info on the subject to this topic.

Board Behaviour Detective and Lecturer [In continuation of the issue that led to my previous title, I made a more detailed, further information post with snippets of Javascript code that could truly fix the issue if we could use the language on EB. It was kind of unnecessary info and I probably made things more confusing. As it turns out, it was just because of my lengthy explanation of what I figured out leading to the last title. From Rick.]

Heroica RPG - Expert Job Class Discussion
Brickdoctor replied to LEGOman273's topic in The Heroica Archive
So like the opposite of a Black Knight. Please make them able to use bows. -
I used to have a life outside of EB where my name wasn't Brickdoctor, but I don't remember it anymore.
-
I'm pretty sure that that is the complaint; that flickr used to be the image sharing site that didn't seem like another social networking site and was more focused towards photographers. But it's easy to see how Yahoo wanted to change that to attract more people.
-
Also, whenever someone writes 'Endy', I read 'Erdy'. Which, by the way, doesn't and shouldn't refer to Erdathcath; 'Erdy' is Erdbeereis.
-
Yeah, don't do that on any quest that John Paul is on. For the other players, dealing with the Black Knight is already more than enough stress without having someone try to sabotage the quest.
-
It wouldn't be purely for roleplay reasons. Docken cares about loot, XP, and finishing the goals of quests, so anyone who believes that a faction that doesn't pitch quests is good and who plans to betray his employer is someone who would directly conflict with the non-roleplaying goals of heroes he quests with who are like Docken. So I would try to convince him otherwise, and if I can't, then I would make a mental note of his being a hero with whom I don't want to quest.
-
Oh, I didn't see your earlier post about your belief that what the Wolfgang are doing is good.Good thing Docken can't hear you.
-
And it's not actually "the poor get[ing] stepped on", it's a Wolfgang armory.
-
I beg to differ.

Board Behaviour Detective [I figured out why the board sometimes reloads a page when you're linked to a post on the same page and why it sometimes just scrolls down. From Rufus.] The board reloads the page if there's any change in the URL other than the addition of a hash symbol followed by an id of a tag somewhere else on the page. We were working on an index for the RA and I figured out that if you remove the ampersand from links to posts on the first page, then the page won't be reloaded when you click on that link from the first page of that topic as long as there isn't some other bit added to the end of the current URL. (If you're at a URL that ends in "&st=0", for example, the page gets reloaded unless the URL ends in "&st=0#n", but if you've just got the plain URL of the topic, then the page won't get reloaded when you click on a link to a post on the same page if the ampersand has been removed from the URL that link leads to; the page just scrolls.) See also "HTML Links - the id Attribute" on W3Schools.

I disagree; the basic minifig is one definite size and as such determines one definite scale compared to itself based on the ratio of the size of the minifig to the size of a person. (Or, actually, two, maybe three different scales, depending on whether you scale to the height or width of the minifig, but still scales that don't vary that much.) I concede that sometimes compromises need to be made because this is LEGO, but that doesn't mean that anything you can fit a minifig into is minifig-scale. Oh, was it the big crate? The general consensus is that LEGO sets wouldn't be shipped like that (and I think the number was also inconsistent with what we've seen in other sets), and it was probably a model for display at a theme park or a store.
-
I can't tell if this is a joke or not. I wish language always worked that way, but I think in this case it's just part of the NPC's accent.
-
Where was this mentioned? I haven't heard anything about such a set... Although to be honest I didn't pay close attention to this thread for a couple weeks, so I might have missed it.
-
No, UCS is not a scale. You even say it yourself later in your post: UCS is a "style of building". If that were true, the UCS Executor would be minifig-scale.
-
UCS is not a scale; UCS is a style of building. He used the correct term - 10179 is the minifig-scale Falcon. 7965 is a System set, the varying scale that TLG uses for it's main line of sets, which may or may not be minifig-scale. (In 7965's case, it's nowhere even close to minifig-scale.) That having been said (And this is not directed specifically at you, Ki-Adi; I know you were just replying to someone else.), please remember that this topic is for discussion of rumored sets and confirmed sets to be released in 2013. Listing and discussion of sets you wish to see or think we will see in the future belong in Future Star Wars Sets. Thanks!

Oh! That makes sense. I knew I'd used the number twice, but I never considered that two different colors had to represent two different numbers. Seems obvious now, but I was thinking of each color as a variable, not as a number itself. (x = 2, y = 2, var reddishBrown = 2; var darkTan = 2;)

Actually, the Amulet doesn't itself make you faster, in-universe it summons the horse so you can ride it. (Just to make things more realistic in your inventory.) So you can still roleplay having the horse if you want to, you just have to summon him with your Amulet instead of, say, going to get him from a stable.
-
That was my guess as well, but:

Chromeknight goes through the act of sounding like the janitor and solves the puzzle, and then Legonater just charges in and declares that they're heroes.

Actually looking at the picture again, the two shining lines below the Sep Shuttle and the AAT could be light reflecting off the two transparent dishes that form the wheels of the wheel bike from the 2005 Grievous Chase set that came with Boga. I can't tell for sure. That's the only thing in the photo that comes close to looking like the wheel bike, to me.
-
Starting on the left, the white starfighter is the 2010 ARC-170. (You can just barely see the white stickers on the cockpit canopies, distinguishing it from the 2005 version.) Below it, the green animal appears to be Boga, who only appeared in one set, the '05 Grievous' wheel bike, which I don't see there. But the animal by itself is worth ten dollars! Next to the ARC-170 is the Separatist Shuttle from 2009. To the right of that is the Clone Wars version of the AAT, also from 2009. And right of that is another '09 set, the Republic Attack Shuttle. In front of the AAT and the Republic Shuttle are what appear to be four of the walkers from the Clone Battle Packs, 2009 edition. In front of those is 2010 version of the Republic Swamp Speeder, easily distinguishable from the earlier '05 version (that was in the Wookiee Catamaran) by the bley turbine as opposed to dark red, and the larger mud guards in front of the seats. Finally on the far right Sith Nightspeeder from 2011. Hope that helps!
