Napoleonic War Gaming Attribute Idea's
Fordo replied to Fordo's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I've been gaming with my Brother (Who controls the British). We play with 3 Artillery each, 3 Infantry regiments, 1 Elite Infantry (Me-Old Guard Him-Rifleman), me with 8 Cuirassairs and him with 10 Dragoons. (I had to take muskets off my army for his units, such a nice Brother :-$ ) Anyway his dense attacks on my flank keep hindering my forces so Im 0-2 :-( . I've also tweaked the stats a bit and added a Rifleman with longer range. -
If Bricklink is any indication to you, once shako's in quantities more than 5 are added they sell imediatly like hotcakes and with prices at $4+ which is exceptionally expensive for a piece. Thus if you would sell a Shako it would sell even better due to cheaper price in larger quantities. I myself will eventually need over 500 more Shako's alone along with these other great Napoleonic Fans. A post on Bricklink would be a good thing to see how many of those fans would buy them that aren't registered to our fourms. The Skako is on 111 wanted lists on bricklink now 111+ people wanting more than 1 Shako a piece is a big amount. The is obviously more people that want shako's but those would be definates, especially once we spread the word. As to versatile i've seen these Shako's on brickshelf used on Castle mocs, fantasy mocs, and space moc's. It's a great piece of headgear that can be used for a multitude of things.

Huge quantity Lego SW figs for sale on eBay
Fordo replied to jamtf's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
This guy thinks he can make the big $$ on ebay with a large quantity of figs yet some aren't desireable and thus no one would pay that much. He's going to be forced to lower the price or separate them if he even wants a chance at selling them. -

Nice pictures, to bad I'd be a pretty expensive trip for me to travel over to Belgium. That statue does ruin the scenery darn King William I for creating that. Yes sir! I executed him and his entire fake staff. That will teach all those other imposters not to mess with the real Napoleon Bonaparte. :-D

Cool clips, I've been watching a bunch of them and the whole Pickett's charge. Great group of clips you got there. *sweet*

The ship-of-the-line design had settled on a few standard types: older two-deckers (i.e. with two complete decks of guns firing through side ports) of 50 guns (which were too weak for the battle-line but could be used to escort convoys), two-deckers of between 64 and 90 guns which formed the main part of the fleet, and larger three- or even four-deckers with 98

Fordo replied to SirNadroj's topic in Pirate MOCs
Very nice ship, love that water fall great job! -
Yes way to expensive, I have just run out of funds, so no more purchases for me for a while :( . On a higher note, just got a deal on 13 Imperial Soldiers for $4.40 each (instead of $6 a pop) and 6 cannons along with 80 brown epaulettes and a few horses. :)

Musket's are rather expensive these days at what price did you get yours? My musket order will have to wait till I come back from two weeks at Virginia Beach.

This is a pretty cool little ship, they can't always be big so I gave it a 4/5.

Welcome aboard, sounds like its going to be a grand ships can't wait to see it!

This is definately one of the best lego ports/bases ever made. Excellent job on the design and detail, 10/10.
-
As soon as you have a lot get ready for a large bulk order from me. (220+Shakos)

That George looks great I can't find which torso he used either.

What were the reasons behind you voting for Imperial Guards Mr Fordo? Well since for the Imperial soldiers are French, I've always had a soft spot for those Frenchies. *wub*

Those look great! Hopefully the hobby stores near you still carry the supplies.

Do you really think TLG is likely to ever consider a new Pirate line if we are ripping off their designs and thus competing with them? Well, one retired piece isn't going to compete with Lego. Ripping off one design isn't all to bad considering the mold for it has been destroyed. Also we wouldn't come to this situation if TLC has just provided us with a well selling Pirate Line. There are plenty of knock-off brands already doing that. Do you think that might be what's preventing a new Pirate line? I doubt it, TLC really could careless about this minor knockoff brand's because if they wanted to just create a new pirate line I'd wipe the floor with those Knockoff's in design, quality, and sales.

Before I got into pirates I was mostly into Castle type stuff like Adventurers so I used this guy on a white horse with bley saddle for Mameluke's. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?M=adv030 And used a cutlass as the Sabre.
