Quick update on my collection - the figs had to move over to a bigger frame : and the gaps soon will be filled with my w-i-p's: I am very close to complete dark azure, flesh and bright pink - all the missing elements are part of the actual palette. Yet some Brasso treatment to do.

I'd like to reserve one of the Bricktober sets (I am currently negotiating a swap elsewhere, so it could be I don't need it if it works out).

This is how TLC is working (just like other manufacturers, too btw.): If the people are paying what TLC is asking, they will ask! You are hoping that TLC will not adapt the prices within a subtheme? I object! Best example is the collectible minifigs: They started with 1,99€ , went up to 2,49€ in series 3, raised again the price with licensed figs and we are now (finally?) at 3,99€ for each figure of a complete license free series. AND THE PEOPLE (US!!) ARE STILL BUYING! So why shouldn't TLC ask 3,99€? This is how capitalism works. In this case sadly. And TLC knows that we all have been eagerly waiting for the coaster!!! The only way to stop this evolution is to STOP buying. In your arguments you mention Assembly Square - see my comparison below. Back to the Coaster: These are just estimated numbers, but looking at the set we'll have hundreds of 2x2 white round bricks and also a huge amount of chain links. Really cool new parts (besides the tracks of course)? I hardly spot any. Prints instead of stickers? Indication error. Power functions? Only if you add other expensive parts to it. Let's compare it: Taj Mahal (10256) - 5923 parts - 329,99 € (same price but 1.799 parts more than RC) Roller Coaster (10261) - 4.124 parts - 329,99 € Big Ben (10253) - 4.163 parts - 219,99 € (39 bricks more than RC, but 110€ cheaper) Assembly Square (10255) - 4.002 parts - 239,99 € (same subtheme [Creator Expert] just 122 bricks less than RC, but 90€ cheaper) My conclusion: I am not going to buy it for the asked price. 25% off and I am in again. This is still 250€ and a lot of money for the pieces given (see above).

Looking at page 1 all chalets are full right now. I don't think it's wise to hope for one of these people not attending, so I'd advise to look for a room in a hotel, because it's also not propable that you find 4 more eventees not on this list to share a chalet with.

Yep! Just don't overdo it. But if you are for example planing to build a "car" like the Bloodhound, there will be other measures of course.

Right! Build them at home and bring them to the event. You can build as many cars as you like, but only one can be entered in the contest. So if you build multiples, we want to see them of course! There has to be a template for it, so Batmobile, K.I.T.T. etc. are okay. The rules for not building are: - don't build 6-wide - don't use real bricks - don't bring the result to the event and finally: - don't have fun!

Hi there eventees! It's 42 days to the upcoming event - so time to start your brains and get your fingers working: Here is the Billund 2018 building challenge! This year it's all about So get your bricks and build a car in the limitations of a Street Champion (6 wide, a minifig has to fit inside). It may be or or as long as it is the LEGO version of a real car. (No country limitations this year ) Normally the LEGO sets come with a massive amount of stickers. Because almost all of us hate stickers, these are NOT allowed in the competition! All other genuine LEGO parts are allowed. The Bugatti on the photo above for example would be disqualified while the Hot Rod is perfect. Questions? No? What are you waiting for, then?

These guys definitely have to leave my shelf now: Hawkeye and Saesee Tiin are 3€ each, the rest is willing to leave for 1,50€ each. And this set: 5886 T-Rex Hunter - MISB - 60€

Can you name the parts? For the gear: Does it have to be in black? (Looks like it's black on the pic) Otherwise I have two in light grey. I am completely confused. ... but interested! What, if I liked to call a set of 4 yellow (ABCD) and a set of 4 red (ABCD) 2x4's my own? According to your bill this would result in 32€, right?

To fulfill the expectations each year before the event let's start the trading post! So if you attending to the event (or know one, who is) you can post here what you want to sell or buy. Bricks or sets, or even non-LEGO related things that you want to share/trade with the other eventees. Or if there is a special bargain to be made at your local toy shop: All these things have a place here. I'll start off with a set, my son still wants to sell: . Complete used model in very good condition with instructions and box - 20 € and parts I still am looking for: < need the torso (flesh)< need hips&legs (magenta)< need torso (flat silver) I would also buy the complete minifigure depending on the price. More will follow soon.

Once again I doubt this is bright pink. It's really hard to determine from a non-calibrated photo, but I say it's dark pink. Unless corrected. You can tell it from this hair, which is also on the photo: This has only been made in dark pink (and black).

Sorry for the late reply, Julien. As for the chalets please head over to the accomodation topic and ask there (I haven't checked if there's still room left anywhere...) Sharing cars is - if you care for the environment - recommended. Of course it depends from where exactly you are coming. If you share more information we can help. To answer your last question: What is the advantage not to be in the Eurobricks group? The real answer: The event is a Eurobricks event. So not staying with us is no option. And you only get all of the fun stuff, if you stay with us. After all in 12 years of attending to the events I haven't heard of one single eventee who regreted coming to the event.
