To Mister Phes: I used ordinary wallpaper paste, when i made my "mountains" It's cheap and newspapers aren't that expensive either :-D So overall, it's really cheap. BTW you should avoid putting pages with lot of colours/pictures in it because if there's too much ink, it won't mix properly.

Now I have this too: 6280 Armada flagship I "accidentally" bought it :-D I don't like this ship, but at least it was cheap.. Maybe I'll do little customization..maybe a merchant ship.. I don't like the spaniards either, so they will be my merchants :-P

I did make many big mountains etc. some timne ago and I used just paper and paste(is this the right word?) I put the paper in water and blended it with powerdrill until it was "loose". Then I mixed paste in it and waited some time and then it's like clay..very easy to mold.. Ofcourse I did make these "mountains" with cardboard boxes first and then I molded them with paper..later you can paint them etc. I have one very good WW themed mountain and some "pirate" mountains too.. If I can borrow my friends camera I'll try to take some pictures if you like..

I own this set too..and when I was a kid this was my favourite vehicle in my lego town.. The springs are a bit old now and they make this "squeky" noise when pushed down, it's even more fun now :-P I have a other vehicle wich have also the same spring mechanism..it's a tow truck.

I always thought IMPERIAL flagship was released in 1992 or 1993 and ARMADA flagship in 1996, Am I right? so you must be talking about Armada flagship..

yeah, good old times. I got for my birthday Skull's Eye Schooner and I was so surprised because I asked for Renegade Runner :-D Was It about 12years ago? anyway my older brother found it..it was on sale and it was only 300marks!(about 50-60 dollars, 45-50euros) we had different currency back then :-P That was the the best birthday gift ever *y* and just two weeks ago I bought BSB for 55Euros, In top condition with Instructions. It was a good buy I think...

hmm.. looks like somebody is thinking the same way than I am.. I feel the same way about colours. You should use many colours if have them but I think it's difficult to use them wisely. I mean that, if you use many colours when making a big scenery you'll probably use too much of one colour in one location of your model display. It's hard to make a it balanced..especially if you are doing it this way: "Basically I'm creating baseplates as these will be easy to fold up and store when I travel again." But you can allways rebuild it and add some colours here and there.. Good luck for your project *y* :) I'm planning to do something similar too. I'm doing the scenery with "classic" colours though, because I don't have much other colours in my collection and I 'don't have enough money to buy that much legos right now.. I just need more blue "sea" baseplates.

No, unfortunately I don't have pictures of it..It was a long time ago and I didn't take too many pictures of my legos.. and they are all in old-fashioned photo album *sweet* Yeah..I know they are shooting cannons, but I just happen to have shooting cannons wich are gray.. I mean every part is gray. BTW, I used to reassembe my cannons and change the springs to more stiffer ones. Iprefer quality than the quantity of cannons.. I got about 3-time better shooting range for my cannons :-D maybe more...

Yeah, this is great set! Good amount of minifigs, good accessories, and plenty of basic bricks. And it was quite cheap back then when it was released (I don't know why, but I seem to remember all the original selling prices of pirate sets, although I was quite young). Unluckily I never got this set but my friend had it back then and we played with it a lot. Perfect set 5/5

What's the point anyway with the flags anyway? Some people have that flag and some doesn't, do we have to do something or be here long enough to earn that flag? I'm not that patriotic that I have to have it, I'm just curious.. But aren't we all from land of Lego? :-D We all should have somekind of legoflag :-P

That looks really great! It'll be big ship I assume when you have so tall mast :-|| If you ask me I would leave out the smallest sail of the top.. It depend ofcourse what will the other masts look like.. keep up the good work. Hopefully I have someday enough Lego bricks to do some big ships too. I envy you *sweet*

Aah..that makes sense. Try to make a colourful ship too..I think it's harder to make ship with many colours than just using classic colours( brown, black, white) I'd like to see a ship with about 10 different colours wich still looks balanced, if you know what I mean..

hmm..well made movie, but I actually didn't like it.. I do love legos but I just don't like monty python.. It sucks actually *n* yeah , yeah somebody is gonna say to me: "you don't have any sense of humor", but I do.. I like different kind of humor :-P

That's a great tavern Sir Dillon! Colours are good and there are very nice details inside the tavern..roof is great also and the movable second floor makes it playable. You should add small winecellar though :-P Those "Man With No Name" trilogy movies are great!..classics *y* And if you like watch some comedy, you should watch some Bud Spencer's And Terence Hill's movies too..I love them..makes me laugh every time :-D And Terence as Lucky luke is hilarious..

that's a bit high price.. maybe for a 400dollars.. How much you guys, are willing to pay for that ship?
