  1. Am I the only one hoping we won't directly see Spider-Man in the first two trailers for Captain America:Civil War? I think it would be more effective if they hid the costume from the public for a while, capitalizing on all the rumors of the Iron Spider and black suit and whatnot. A single scene where Iron Man or Captain America is hit in the face with web would effectively show Spider-Man's involvement without him actually being present in the frame. Also, rumor has it that Vision might bite the dust in CW. There's no real evidence, but I like this rumor more than other rumors about character deaths. Androids can be rebuilt, and that gem needs to be graphically ripped out of his head somehow...
  2. I believe it was the Nya Fun Pack where I found myself opening my bin of spare LEGO Dimensions parts to get a piece. I'll have to go back and check for certain, though.
  3. Finally broke the Stud economy. At the start of the Wizard of Oz level, I turned around and blasted the silver bricks with a rebuilt Samurai Mech. The area has 300,000 Studs to collect in terms of purple and blue Studs, so long as you have Studs X2. There's also a Spinjitzu-locked cage with a color-changing brick that has the potential to give 5 purple Studs. Destroying all the objects could bring the total to over 400,000. I saved and exited over and over, buying all the vehicle upgrades for the Batmobile, Samurai Mech and others. I added Attract Studs to the vehicles and upgraded their speed. The final rebuild of the Samurai Mech flies really quickly, so I used it with its Stud Magnet to collect everything swiftly. I bought all the Red Bricks, started buying Chrome Upgrades(The last color upgrade for any vehicle that costs 1,000,000 Studs!), and went around buying all the Hub World Renovations. It's not as fast as other LEGO games, but I plan to buy up and have enough Studs for future Fun Pack vehicles. Some of the rebuilds I've seen use spare parts from the packs, so it might not even be in the box.
  4. Who is the creature next to R2-D2? I don't recognize it.
  5. Not saying Legends of Chima was infinitely better, but at least that show pulled out after three seasons, as opposed to...this. I know Ninjago has a fanbase with plenty of TFOLs and even AFOLs, but at the end of the day, it's still geared towards kids. I highly doubt the Hagemann brothers will break the mold any time soon, seeing as we're getting a full-length movie soon. In the meantime, looks like we'll be having four Blades again...
  6. I agree with Sherlock, if LEGO can make an age-appropriate version of it. Like I said, LEGO will often ignore the more mature content in themes so that kids can enjoy the sets too. I'm no Doctor Who expert, but Thanos wiped out half the galaxy (Including woman and children, no doubt) and was still included in LEGO Marvel Superheroes, and I guarantee you'll be seeing him in LEGO bigfig form again... And for buying all the packs...well, I've only bought three LEGO sets this year, so I have a few hundred saved up.(Yes, I bought 12 LEGO video games and 12 LEGO DLC packs on Steam, but that's unrelated!) I don't have a full-time paying job, but I do make at least $12 a week in the summer and early fall. As for my family, I'm thinking different family members (Grandma and Grandpa on one side, Grandma and Granpa on the other side, etc.) could each get me one or two packs. That wouldn't cost more than $60 for them at the most. My work with my church and with Scouting is all voluntary, so I don't get paid for most of my work.
  7. Yes, but bad guys wanting to wipe out good guys isn't too uncommon, even in LEGO themes. Bionicle is one notable example. LEGO likely wouldn't even mention anything about genocide. Themes like Simpsons took me aback at first, but I can see now that LEGO is perfectly capable of releasing these themes without skewering into adult content. Batman is included in the starter pack-let's not forget that his alter ego has slept with more people than there are LEGO Minifigures in the world! LEGO does a great job of making licensed video games without the sex or profanity that pervades modern movies. That's not to say there are no exceptions. Constantine was cut from LEGO Batman 3 because, as Arthur Parsons put it, "There is absolutely no age-appropriate version of Constantine." Yeah...looks like it's time to work more hours... I'm planning to get them all. If my plan works out, I'll buy the LEGO Dimensions Starter Pack today along with Zane, Nya, Laval, Simpsons Level Pack and Portal Level Pack for about $200. I have a $5 discount from VIP rewards and I'll get $20 from this order, which is enough for the Scooby Doo Team Pack. I'm not sure if some of my family members will still give me Christmas gifts since I'm an adult, but I expect at least a few level or even team packs from my family for Christmas. I got a bunch of gift cards recently, so that'll help. I think I'll be able to get all the currently revealed packs by May.
  8. Someone took a picture of the screen from inside the theater and put it on a website I found from Googling. Obviously that's illegal, so I won't link, but the shadow was given some highlighting to help accentuate the, ahem, curves...
  9. Inhumans and Infinity War give me doubts about any death being permanent. We shall see... Also, when I went to see Ant-Man, I paid close attention to the scene where Ant-Man goes through the "Doctor Strange tease" and I saw the shadow right off the bat. It kind of scared me for a moment, but it's one easter egg worth going back to the theater to see.
  10. This gives me hope that heroes will "bite the bullet" in Captain America:Civil War. Had it been my decision to kill off Quicksilver, I would have killed him off in Captain America:Civil War instead, perhaps in the opening terrorist attack that sets off the events of the movie.
  11. Oh, I saw that trailer, definitely fake. Anyways, I'm definitely intrigued by Deadpool. I don't watch movies with nudity, so I'll sadly be sitting this one out, but the trailers were amazing. He looks like he walked straight out of a comic book, and he even cracks a joke at Green Lantern. I sort of wish Marvel had him, but since they don't...maybe he'll break the fourth wall and reveal who dies in Civil War? EDIT: Fixed a typo. How humiliating.
  12. Well...that would be quite a lot to earn up. Know of any good job offerings?
  13. That question would also bring Daredevil and the Defenders into question. Do street-level vigilantes need to be registered? What about superheroes in the making like Doctor Strange? This will affect every part of the MCU it seems, at least on Earth.
  14. So...how much would it cost to buy all of the packs revealed so far?
  15. Well, we now know everything we really need to know for the time being. Technically, the suit belonged to his unit. He grabbed one of them(I think his own, obviously) and took off. It was all offscreen, but he mentioned getting past security. I just sent my rental TWS DVD back to Netflix, so it's fresh on my mind. (On a side note, the description for the DVD on the DVD sleeve is quite strange: "Extending the saga of Marvel's the Avengers, this superhero sequel finds Steve Rogers living quietly in Washington and growing increasingly restless. So when a deadly new foe surfaces, he transforms into Captain America and allies with Black Widow." ) The suit that Falcon is wearing in Avengers: Age of Ultron is the same one created for Ant-Man. The last scene of AoU was reshot with his new suit. The origins of his red suit are unknown.
  16. Well, this game has lasted so far, and that surprised me. So I wouldn't be too surprised if it survives the winter. That's indeed true. I can't condone their business tactics with the game. But I have a lot of friends in the game who would be massively disappointed if the game shut down, and having been through LEGO Universe and seen many of my friends lose Legends of Chima Online, I don't want the game to fall any time soon... There is one problem I have with Funcom right now, and it's their secrecy over new content. They keep the fanbase in the dark about upcoming content until it's really, really close, leading to many rumors about how the game has nothing planned until it closes, a la Legends of Chima Online. The truth is, they do have new content planned, starting at the beginning of September. I tried to create a topic on the LEGO Message Boards about the "Monster Trials", and mentioned the loot system, one of the levels, where it is and how to play it. A Funcom employee requested LEGO take down the topic because the information was "secret", even though I was directly quoting a friend who posted it on another website. I completely respect their wish to not want info leaked and had no problem with the topic being removed, but positive word-of-mouth is something that Funcom really needs. Why would they go to so much trouble to eliminate help?
  17. The micro-transactions are completely gone. Once you buy the game, you can unlock anything currently in-game except Aztec Warrior, Fairy, DJ, Viking Woman and Holiday Elf, which will be added back into the game soon. Even the Minifigures exclusive to codes aren't exclusive anymore, and their parts can be found in-game.
  18. The game has pdractically always been in financial disarray. It's bad enough when the LEGO Message Boards are filled with topics by kids who know about the falling numbers. I have some good friends who work on the game that I've come to know through the game(Not in real life, but online), and I'd hate to see them lose their jobs. I spent $70 buying a Year subscription, then upgrading to Unlimited before the price was cut in half. I care about this game a lot more than I probably should... The sad thing is that this game has figured out the ideal revenue system. But they probably found it too late. Will this game last longer than a year from now? I don't know. Legends of Chima Online lasted longer than LU to last just as long as the 2012 Russian promo video showed the Legends of Chima theme running. The game accomplished its purpose and swiftly died out after that. And with the release of Series 14 Minifigures with codes and the second LEGO Minifigures Online seasonal event, the "Monster Trials", I'd argue this game has more staying power than what might be inferred from Funcom's quarterly reports.
  19. That's what we were told. But I asked Greg Farshtey about the story bible a year ago, and he admitted that the Nya love triangle was in the story bible from the start. That seems to imply that they had the storyline planned out at the beginning, even if they didn't expect it to make it this far.
  20. You have to wonder if the 16 Realms have been in the story bible since the start. Heck, I wonder if LEGO has even decided what they all are yet. I originally assumed the 16 Realms were going to involve LEGO Dimensions, but there's too many LEGO Dimensions themes announced now.
  21. Remember the number 16 when it comes to how many Realms there are. That will come in handy much sooner than you think. And no, Ninjago can't possibly be worthy of ever crossing over with Chima.
  22. I tried turning subtitles on for episode 49, but they were in Russian. I tried setting the subtitles to translate into English, and then Jay told Sensei Wu to "strip goods". I think I messed up something, unless Sensei Wu wanted the ninjas to know "the loco light in the United States will pass the top".
  23. I beta tested this game(And was invited into closed beta, though I lost my key in a spam folder) as well as the mobile version of the game. I'd love to beta test the B2P version of the game if I lived anywhere near those stores. Funny story, I actually wiped my entire friendlist recently. Too many kids who always wanted me to answer questions that I didn't know the answer to(I think half of them think I'm some sort of secret Funcom employee or something! ). I'm willing to add everybody again in a few months, but for now, I'm on vacation. I assure you that Funcom does not want that to happen again-not to mention Funcom was never involved with LEGO Universe in the first place. LEGO had too much creative liberty over LEGO Universe, and they didn't quite manage their resources very well. Sure, it turned out to be an amazing game, but they didn't do a very good job of planning, especially with the membership options.
  24. A few months ago, a friend of mine from LU told me she was emailed a chance to beta test something like LU. I figured it was something a few years from now and forgot about it. Then Meiko mentioned some sort of NDA from LEGO, but I wasn't old enough (at the time) to sign it myself. I think I missed a chance to join Closed Beta Testing for this game. Shame on me. Anyways, having logged about 25 hours of gameplay since I started late monday night, I've had a lot of fun. I've unlocked everything possible without Mods, built labyrinths under cave networks, created underwater towns, built kingdoms in the sky and more. It's immensely enjoyable, and this is coming from a user who got bored of Minecraft. It's more like an upgraded LEGO Creator, and I could name a plethora of reasons to buy it. At $14.99 for early access, it's worth it. http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/540776644811995210/50A4D67B3D9AA43A589933EC54DDEE731BFFA3B6/
