  1. Fantastic idea, very well done. Good luck!
  2. This is strictly a work in progress. But on my other entry KimT jostled me along to get this uploaded. There is quite a bit left to do, but i'd be interested in some feedback...
  3. My medium and large entries are well underway! I've spent most of this week vbuilding pieces for the large and yesterday building the medium. I'm being forced to be social over the next few days but by the middle of next week they should both be finished.... Thanks for the interest!
  4. That's a very good rendition of the scene. How stable is the column? It looks like it has plenty of weight to support. I like the reactor box as it hasnt been over-greebled and reflects the design of the original trilogy. Good choice of a blue background too.
  5. This is really nice. The Falcon is detailed but not overly greebled, It looks like the Falcon without being overly complex. My only reservation is the all-brown asteroids. some dark grey would look good mixed in with the brown, but this does not detract from how good a scene this is.
  6. That's a really nice scene - the speeder is great. The only suggestion would be to introduce some colour in the buildings other than tan, perhaps sand green or light brown, just to give the buildings a more realistic look compared to the original scene. This will help it look aged also. The foliage attached to the walls looks nice.
  7. 1. No, I've not bought any of these sets, but the Eiffel tower is on my wish list - I simply dont have space for it.. 2. I will only buy individual sets based on specific appeal, but my 7 year old wants every set in a theme. He views it as a colection, and so wants each model in the set. 3. Easy, The London Eye. 4. I would have said a Space Shuttle until a few weeks ago, so I'll go with my daughters answer - A Zoo! (She likes the playmobil Zoo, and wants to know why we dont have it in Lego) 5. My seven year old keeps getting disapointed when themes he has invested time and money in get closed down - Indiana Jones, Mars Mission, Batman to name three. It makes us very reluctant to start new themes (Glad he didnt start collecting Pirates) and redirect him to Star Wars. I really like the strategy of including more minifigs in Star Wars sets, but we need to see more core characters in medium sized sets - the best example of this was the new Landspeeder - because of the characters it's top of his wish list (Along with the wampa cave) Make it easier to get the core characters and save the chase ones for the big sets. Like most Parents we save up for a big set for B/day or Xmas, and he spends his pocket money saving up for smaller sets. This last few months he's bought all the magnet sets to get characters otherwise not available (which are great by the way, but he'd probably buy more sets if they contained core characters. And the troop builder sets for Castle - Dwarves ETC are a brilliant idea - make more across different themes please.
  8. Thanks for all the suggestions and comments. Now that I know how to deeplink I've added some more/better quality pictures, including the required one of the base. I'm now working on my 32 X 32 scene, which will be another of my favourite scenes, but I'll come back to this one later. Please keep the comments coming!
  9. A really good selectio of entries. 1 Point each to the following: 50) Crash Dummy Entry (Build by Oky Wan Kenobi) 52) Deep Sea Diver Entry (Build by graznador) 9) Forestman Entry (Build by Sandy)
  10. Thanks for the positive feedback. I've added a better quality image, still getting the hang of shrinking the images.
  11. I hope to make an entry in all 3 categories. This was my small entry. It all fits on a 16 X 16 base part no 2617 - http://www.bricklink.com/browseList.asp?it...p;catString=243 - with no overhang. I'll have to take another picture to prove it... Any comments appreciated There are a load more photos here http://www.flickr.com/photos/36416029@N06/...57624208116294/ with several different variations on the scene that takes place in this location. When I first saw Phantom Meance this was the scene I was probably waiting for - Proper Jedi's fighting a villain who was their equal. Unfortunately because I'd already bought the CD the track 'Qui-gon's funeral' gave away the outcome! (it was either that or the death of Qui-Gon) The reason I made this was my 7 year old - he loved seeing Maul split in half in the Wii game, and now we can recreate that scene. Thanks
  12. The tanks at the aquarium are cleaned and maintained by the Scuba Diver. He stands on the Platform above the tank, whilst his colleague is already in the water. Below in the aquarium a couple of visitors satnd in awe of the single Tuna. Had fun building this - My first entry to a contest on Eurobricks.
  13. Just based on 'feel' alone, imanged to pick out a Forestman, caveman and cowboy, then 2 robots. Some are easier than others, the robots are easy if you can pick out the helmet with its two aerials. Argos seem to have them out at the till everywhere, and my local store said that I was not the first person to cop a feel of the packs!
