  1. Awesome! I like how you built the floats. Nice to see another flying entry!
  2. I'm still working on my entry. Progress has been slow due to a very busy schedule....I may not be able to finish it in time. We'll see.
  3. Thanks for posting this! I really like the rickshaw. It looks like Thomas makes it to a lot of the shows. He goes to Brickfair in DC as well. Super nice guy, and I always look forward to chatting with him. I'll have to make it to Bricks By the Bay one of these years. The Steam Pumk convention next door sounds like an awesome event too.
  4. Fantastic moc! I like how you were able to use parts from one set for this. This should have been the 'b' model for the set. Well done.
  5. I like it! The retractable wheels are great! I was curious to see how you would fold the front wheels with the steering in the way. The fishing pole is a nice addition too.
  6. Nice! I like your blades. I never knew the 20t gears were available in white.
  7. Siegfried, if I do a WIP thread about my tsats project, do my WIP pictures count towards the 6 picture limit? Or, is the 6 picture limit just for a finished moc? I'd like to add a WIP thread, but I don't want to waste my picture limit on WIP stuff instead of a finished project.
  8. That looks really fantastic, efferman! Looks like some tough competition for sure.
  9. RepRap is an interesting product that allows for fairly cheap 3D printing. http://reprap.org/wiki/RepRap A friend of mine built one, and he has made some pretty nifty gadgets. The precision isn't as great as a high-dollar machine, but it's fun to watch. I doubt it would be precise enough for LEGO parts though, but I think it does show that economical, high precision 3D printers aren't too far off in our future.
  10. Very cool moc, and a great idea for the competition! Well done!
  11. Fantastic little moc! You build some really great small-scale models! Nice work, again!
  12. I agree with both these posts. I haven't been to all the conventions in the States, but from what I've seen, there isn't very many of us Technic builders here. It seem like the larger events only bring in 3-5 pure Technic builders, and I've been to some other events where I was the only Technic builder present. Granted, there are some GBC and Mindstorms builders that show up, but not much in the way of pure Technic stuff. I think LEGO should hire one of us Technic builders to attend shows and display/give tutorials about Technic.
  13. Grohl, I love your work. You've got some fantastic models! I really like your Harrier, and I also found a really nice Sukhoi (I think) fighter over on TB that I believe you built. You have built some really nice planes.
  14. Maybe, but not all mocs need to be RC. Some of my favorite Technic mocs are not RC (Marius's Twin Otter, Paul's Vampire GT, Akiyuky's GBC Ball Factory, and a few others). My current moc I'm building is not RC either. People may question why there isn't any RC on your moc, but not many can build something as complicated as what your are building.
  15. Great looking feller bunchier! I like that you built everything and did not use the base from 8043. More motors offers much better playability than a complicated gearbox like 8043. You've done a fine job finding space for your motors. Do you have a video? Swamp Loggers is a fantastic show! The show is filmed not too far from where I live.
  16. Looking good! I like how you built the sun visor. This moc is going to be fantastic once completed.
  17. I really like the 9397 B model. I have never built the B model for any set I have purchased, but I think I will for this set. The liftable wheel is a nice addition to the set. On a side note, I've been very impressed with LEGO customer support. The fact that they are reading this thread and have gone through the trouble of creating a dropbox account for us is fantastic. More companies need to follow their example.
  18. I will for sure be buying this set...it looks like a great set. There are some really great parts in this. As for extra logs, maybe a bunch of these parts could be used to make some logs?
  19. Great moc, and fantastic video! I like all the random turning bits on the tracks, and the firing mechanism is pretty clever. Nicely done!
  20. Hey Davey, I didn't build the Otter. That fantastic moc was built by a guy named Marius (forgot last name....starts with a "P" I think) from Vancouver. I never did get a chance to see it in person, but I did meet Marius at BrickCon last year. Super nice guy! That airplane is one of my favorite mocs. I'm working on a Piper Super Cub that I hope to have completed by then. It won't be as large or cool as the Twin Otter that Marius built, but it will have all the proper control surfaces and a few other extras. I'll bring my backhoe too, unless I have my forwarder done by then. At this point, things are very iffy, and I'm not sure I'll be able to make it. Contract at work ends in April, so my life after that is all up in the air.
  21. These 6 wide RC trucks are really neat. This thread makes me want to build one of my own.
  22. I might have to make it this year. I've never been to Brickworld, and it sounds like a lot of folks will be there. I'll bring a couple of Technic MOCs with me, if I go. Sounds like fun!
  23. This truck is looking really, really great! Fantastic project you have here. I really like the headache rack and the self-centering lever system you have on the gearbox.
