I don't think a UCS/MBS Sail Barge needs to be in the same size and price range as the Falcon and Star Destroyer. Something closer to the Sandcrawler would be more appropriate.

LEGO Star Wars 2020 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
wesker replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
That's pretty much along the lines of what I'm expecting. Possibly a second Knight of Ren in the TIE Dagger leaving the final two for the Summer wave. The Mandalorian battlepack being Imperial makes sense with the Death Troopers and Incinerator Stormtroopers being part of the show, but with the AT-ST's inclusion of Klatooinian Raiders I could also see a pirate themed battlepack being a possibility. The Y-Wing Microfighter is another wildcard. It could reuse Zorii Bliss or it could also come with a new pilot character instead. -

Its a shame Padme isn't included in the Mustafar Duel set but everything else sounds good. The TIE Dagger is the perfect set for more Knights of Ren. They've already designed a face print for one of the four remaining ones (the knight with the big "hat") so I'd be surprised if that particular knight isn't included. Hopefully we won't have to wait too long to see which characters are coming with Poe's X-Wing. Jannah seems likely but Leia or Nien Nunb would be great as well. The busts sound like they could be pretty cool. The Darth Vader and Sith Trooper ones turned out pretty well and these new ones are supposed to be even bigger. -

Carded pics of Hasbro's Zorii Bliss action figure have popped up. I know some were worried about the color choice for the minifigure, but the artwork on the cardback looks a lot closer to Lego's dark red and less of a dark purple seen in EW's publicity still. -

Rebelscum has an article on it: http://www.rebelscum.com/story/front/Nothing_Lasts_For_Ever_LEGO_Retiring_Star_Wars_Sets_185078.asp The disappointment always seemed overblown to me. What were people expecting? Every time someone asked for a new Cloud City set they either wanted a playset done in the style of the Death Star (which is what we got) or they were only interested in getting updated minifigures. -
Does (not) enjoying a movie/series influence your purchase decisions?
wesker replied to Flieger's topic in LEGO Star Wars
It does for me. I never bought any of the Yoda Chronicles or Freemaker Adventures sets because it wasn't "real Star Wars" for me. Just made up rubbish with the brand's logo slapped on the box. Even the stuff I enjoy I still have to prioritize now. With so much new Star Wars content coming and no end in sight, I've become a lot more selective on which sets I'm buying and the eras I'm focusing on. -

I was expecting 75159 to be around longer after the long lifespan of 10188, although I suppose 2020 is an appropriate time to retire it since many of the set's minifigures have recently been updated (Stormtroopers, Leia, Obi-Wan, R2-D2, Imperial Crew) and the older ones will need to be phased out of production. The downside to releasing another new one in 2021 means it is going to take the spot of other locations that either haven't been done yet (Lars Homestead, Geonosis Arena, Yavin IV, Jedi Temple) or ones that haven't been revisted in a while (Endor Bunker, Jabba's Palace, even a proper Cantina) There's some more sets listed for retirement this December. I'm surprised to see Cloud City will also be going so soon. Outside of named Imperial Officers what minifigures can the Star Destroyer even offer than we haven't gotten a million of already? Hopefully they can take this time to fill out as many gaps from the OT and PT as possible. Once the new films kick in again (on top of the latest Disney+ content) the opportunities for missing sets and characters from those eras will become a lot more limited. -

I'd certainly buy a MBS Kamino set. It could also take inspiration from TCW as well as AOTC just like how the Death Star covers both ANH and ROTJ. Still the Geonosian Arena is the main prequel location I'd like to see made the most.

Resistance never really found its fanbase the way The Clone Wars and even Rebels did. Now the show is ending almost as soon as it started. I can see why Lego hasn't released much product for it and don't expect to see much more. Even Hasbro seems to have given up on it. -

There's also Poe's new X-Wing in orange and light grey. Its the one leading the Resistance fleet in the trailer. Seems a bit soon for another TIE Interceptor when we only just got one a month or so ago. I think the TIE Dagger has a better chance of coming out first since that one at least has a different design. -

Vonreg's TIE Fighter did include an old Leia even though the set was based on a cartoon. Other companies like Hot Toys, Hasbro and Funko are also still releasing ST merchandise of her so it shouldn't a taboo subject. But what I was getting at earlier is that for a character who normally only appears once or twice a year, she has already had an unusually high exposure of set appearances this year and that anymore on top of that (whether its from the OT or ST) just felt a bit unrealistic to me which is why her absence in the new wave wasn't too surprising. And don't forget that even with The Force Awakens she wasn't in the first wave of sets either. We had to wait for the second wave from Winter 2016 for our first minifigure. That's certainly the case for me, but even the past four Disney movies mixed in new designs with the OT remakes. They gave us sets like Kylo Ren and Krennic's Shuttles, Han and Moloch's Landspeeders, Resistance Bomber, Rey's Speeder, TIE Silencer, First Order Transporter, U-Wing, Imperial Hovertank etc. The only new thing this new wave has is the Speeder Chase. There has to be some kind of technic mechanism. The box art shows they can be moved by turning the round engines on the back of the shuttle. -

She's already appeared in four new sets this year (Death Star Escape, Tantive IV, Slave I and Vonreg's TIE Fighter). The likelihood of her making a fifth appearance seemed pretty slim to me. Besides as someone else mentioned we don't know the extent of her role yet. For all we know it could be little more than a cameo. Plus despite using old footage they're still digitally altering her appearance with a new costume which may not have been finalized when the sets started development and can still be changed at the last minute like we saw with Rio Durant. -

Most of these sets are an easy pass for me. Nice builds but at the end of the day the majority of sets are just remakes with a new coat of paint. Pretty underwhelming lineup for a new movie and TV show. I do think the Millennium Falcon is greatly improved with the closed gaps and wider mandibles. I'll definitely be converting one of my older models into the new set once the instructions come online. I'm more excited for the new characters that are coming out. They haven't disappointed there. Great to see Connix has finally been made into a minifigure and the new aliens look pretty cool too. The new hood piece has a lot of potential if combined with other minifigure accessories. One of the more exciting possibilities for me is paving way for new characters like Garindan and Talzin who wouldn't have been possible before. -

They've been making the beards look rougher for a while now. Old Ben, Thor and several different Qui-Gon heads were designed like that. Made the previous AOTC/ROTS Obi-Wan face print look quite plain and dated by comparison. I don't mind getting another Snap. Having pilots for the A-Wing and Y-Wing is to be expected, but I do hope the sets take the opportunity to also include other notable Resistance characters that haven't been made yet. -

Assuming its for Star Wars and doesn't belong to either Slave Leia or Mustafar Padme, the only other logical candidate I can think of is a new Celebration Leia. Now that the previous hair mold has been retired the slave braid would be a closer match to her hairstyle than Padme's redesigned hairpiece from the 20th Anniversary Podracer. Only problem with that theory is that there's nothing to indicate Yavin IV is on the horizon - whereas we know Mustafar is definitely coming and possibly something related to Jabba. Fireside Padme is the only other instance I can think of anyone having a braid like that in the films but I think we can all agree that's one minifigure that isn't going to happen. -

Glad they're giving Cap a new flesh head. As much as I liked the new helmet he got in the Endgame wave I wasn't too keen on the dark blue head he used. Its the T-16 Skyhopper Pilot. Came out back in 2015 but will appear again in the new Skyhopper/Bantha microfighter next year. -

While I would welcome another Slave Leia, I'm really hoping that hairpiece is for Padme. She rarely appears in sets enough as it is and a ROTS minifigure is LONG overdue. If she is included in the Mustafar Duel set its going to be a Day 1 purchase for sure. -
