  1. I'm actually not too disappointed by it. We're still getting three characters in the CMF line and potentially the X-Mansion next year so the show isn't a complete loss like Quantumania was. Hopefully this is just an appetizer. Latest rumors are indicating X-Men 97 has been pushed back to 2024 anyway and is expected to run for four seasons. Between that and Deadpool 3 coming out there's plenty of time for Lego to capitalize on the X-Men hype, especially if the MCU continues to crash and burn.
  2. I assume in that instance it was an artistic decision rather than a cost cutting measure. While I prefer the cloth pieces, the printed ponchos on the latest figures do look more visually accurate to how the characters appeared in the film compared to the one Leia had in 2015. A similar example can be seen with the newest Elrond and Maleficent figures ditching their capes to better resemble their movie counterparts. What lets the two Endor figures down is the half assed attempt at the legs. Both characters really needed to have dual molding. Without it they both look unfinished. Its especially frustrating in Leia's case as they already have the right color combination available for dual molding through Legolas.
  3. From what I've noticed they only seem to be phasing out cloth if its used on the leg pieces. My guess is because of it limiting the figure's ability to interact with the sets. Cloth pieces used on the neck joints are still being used across different themes as often as they were before.
  4. Both designs are accurate. The sand blue costume is from ESB while the grey costume is from ROTJ.
  5. There's a CG render on Instagram using the Grand Moff Tarkin hairpiece. I think the piece itself looks fine but I'm not a fan of using tan as the color choice. White would have been a better choice.
  6. I was actually just thinking about that. People have been speculating about big figs being discontinued for a while now. I actually wouldn't mind if this was the direction they took for all large characters going forward. A muscular version of that torso could work quite well for characters like Hulk, Thanos, Juggernaut and Colossus. Big figs got the job done in the past but a major problem is they often feel too large and out of scale with regular minifigures, lack articulation and have no ability for customizing. This could potentially be a good alternative for solving those issues.
  7. The episode where Ezra pulls her out of Malachor, Palpatine shows up and she escapes through a magic portal back to Malachor? Last we saw she was still stranded on Malachor.
  8. The show is a sequel to Rebels and we still don't know what happened to Ahsoka during her time stranded on Malachor or how she escaped. If they plan to explore that period like TBOBF did with its flashbacks than that's reason enough why they might potentially bring him back.
  9. Not every animated character is going to be a 1:1 adaption in the jump to live action. Ahsoka, Cad Bane and Grand Inquisitor had their share of design changes made along with plenty of fan criticism towards some of those decisions. Not to mention plenty of characters survived far worse in Star Wars. The Eighth Brother's fall is pretty tame compared to Maul getting cut in two and dropped down a bottomless pit.
  10. Glad to hear Baylon, Shin and Morgan are all coming in the 3rd Ahsoka set. Sounds like they're covering most of the show's core characters fairly early. All that leaves is Ezra, Thrawn and potentially Zeb. Regarding the masked Inquisitor from the trailer, is anyone else getting the vibe that somehow... the Eighth Brother has returned?
  11. Some of the Simpsons CMF figures were recycled for the Kwik-E-Mart and Dimensions sets. Series 8 Santa has appeared in at least 5 sets and I'm pretty sure there have been others such as the Wicked Witch and Lady Liberty that have been reused elsewhere. As Agent Kallus mentioned there's also the Series 22 Bard where almost all of the parts were reused for the Lion Knights Castle. Only the legs remain exclusive to the CMF figure.
  12. Hopefully the Boba Fett figure is from ROTJ rather than ESB. The Cloud City minifigure still looks great today but the ROTJ version has never been done with arm printing before. Shame Padme sounds like she will just be a remake of the old Malevolence figure. For a character with such an extensive wardrobe her minifigures always seem to be stuck with the same four costumes. Still any Padme figure is better than none at all. A new mold for her braids would be nice but I'd be okay if they reused an existing part like King Valkyrie's in brown.
  13. Mixed feelings about the X-Men's inclusion in the CMF series. I'm thankful we're getting something from the show and its nice to be getting another new character with Beast, but I feel the show would've benefited more from getting proper sets like the Blackbird and having the complete 97 team available instead of only 3 members. Of course there's still the possibility we may eventually see sets next year based on the whole X-Mansion leak from a few months back, but given that Wolverine, Storm and Beast were present in there as well it does make their CMF inclusion feel somewhat redundant if that set does end up releasing.
  14. My preference for Padme would be the Loyalist Committee outfit from the beginning of AOTC. Its more iconic than any of her ROTS gowns and was her primary Senator costume throughout TCW.
  15. I think there's enough points of interest if it takes inspiration from all three films. I suspect we'll see: The Batcomputer Round platform for parking the Batmobile Gantry for storing the Batwing Batboat with docking area The Penguin's Duckmobile Batsuit vault Various catwalks connecting the different areas together Unlike the 66 Batcave this set is rumored to be fully enclosed so I'm assuming the rock work will still take up a large portion of the piece count.
  16. Hopefully they won't make that mistake again. Faramir at least seems inevitable if we get a D2C Minas Tirith after Barad-Dur. It would be nice if we got a small wave of classic trilogy sets next year to indirectly tie-in with the releases of Rings of Power: Season 2 and Ride of the Rohirrim. The Eowyn/Witch-King duel would be the perfect set to capitalize on Miranda Otto's return to the franchise. The Gandalf/Balrog battle and Mirror of Galadriel would also go perfectly alongside it due to their ties to the characters and storylines appearing in the show's second season.
  17. That part definitely could've been worded better. The issue seems to be that they're taking the news of others without giving credit and trying to pass it off as their own, creating the misconception that they are the ones with the inside sources when the reality is they don't know anything more about whats going on than we do.
  18. I prefer AOTC mostly due to Anakin and the remaining Phase I clones needing the updates. Not to mention we rarely see Padme these days. It would be nice if the next Gunship gave the option of choosing between the bubble turrets and fully closed side doors. That would be a good way of pleasing both PT fans and TCW fans.
  19. That account lost credibility with their Temple of Doom fearmongering. It says a lot that the mods at the legoleak reddit just made a public post stating they're no longer accepting or posting anything from that user due to "frequent stealing of info, removing watermarks, and dubious post history".
  20. Wouldn't surprise me if its Jabba's Throne Room and the original leak got the set number mixed up with 75356.
  21. Because the Disney+ shows have to compete with several new theatrical movies coming out at the same time. Lego can only release so many sets each year and a major blockbuster like Guardians of the Galaxy is always going to be a higher priority over a TV show. Its also important for Lego to keep certain characters such as Iron Man, Captain America and Spider-Man constantly available on shelves for consumers. Especially now when much of the latest MCU content just isn't selling. Stores are still struggling to get rid of the Eternals, Shang-Chi and Wakanda Forever sets even at clearance prices. If those blockbusters are retail poison, how much worse do you think sets based on Ms. Marvel and She-Hulk would do? No offense but none of those ideas sound remotely interesting as potential sets. I remember when fans were constantly complaining that too many Superheroes sets contained boring vehicles instead of unique and interesting builds. Do we really need another generic truck chase for FATWS (or Hawkeye) that we've already seen a dozen times before? Is a WandaVision Ice Cream truck necessary when Lego already has three different versions currently available under the City and Friends themes? I hate to be negative here but not every MCU product needs a tie-in set for the sake of having one. If there's no real substantial material to work with to create an interesting build and the characters are going to be the only selling point then they're better off just continuing with releasing them through a CMF series or wait for them to inevitably appear in the films themselves.
  22. I'm wondering if it has something to do with the stability of the build. Ever since I first saw the leaked image I've always thought the base of the model looked flimsy as hell and ready to collapse the moment you lift the set off the ground.
  23. Not really interested in the microfighter but the updated helmet print for Mando looks good. The Snub Fighter is definitely overpriced but it won't be difficult finding good discounts on this one. Shame there's only two minifigures as it was a perfect opportunity for a Season 3 Greef Karga. Vane and the Snub Fighter Pilot still look great though. Hopefully those Nikto heads get reused for Jabba's Sail Barge in the near future. Took the words right out of my mouth. There's been enough of this nonsense going on with the Indiana Jones theme lately.
  24. Part of the problem with battlepacks is half the factions don't sell. The Resistance in particular were notorious shelf warmers even when the Sequel Trilogy was at the height of its popularity. If hardly anyone wanted them back when they were relevant then who's going to buy them today? Battle Droids usually didn't do too well on their own back in the day either. Mandalorians start out strong by selling out quickly in the first month or so but once the initial rush period is over they'll pile up the shelves for the remainder of the year. Even the Rebel Alliance is very hit or miss with the latest Hoth blister pack being incredibly slow moving. Its mainly the Clones and Imperials that consistently do well.
