  1. I'm glad I joined before the 10th! Can't wait to post an entry!
  2. Here in Manitoba, not even our Targets have polybags. The LEGO selection here is barren.
  3. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

  4. I've been listening to a lot of Michael Bublé -- his Christmas album in particular. I'm a holidays person!
  5. I think I might try this one!
  6. Wants to participate in a building contest!

  7. Will this turn into a whole new branch of Lego? "Lego for adults"? I know The Simpsons is hardly kid-appropriate at times. Does this mean we'll see more sets based on mature television and film? Or is it a one-time deal because the Simpsons are cartoon-y? Perhaps I'm reading too far into it.
  8. I officially hooked my toddler sister (many years younger than me) onto Lego. We started off mix n' matching minifigs, then we built a castle - she built a wedding inside! - and now I think I'm going to have to take her shopping for some sets of her own!
  9. I'm loving the pirate mech and all the steampunk-y sets. Can't wait for the movie!
  10. Nice! Could be good for a Dale Barbara custom figure (if you've read Stephen King's book version of Under the Dome).
  11. Great decals! I can only hope TLG's figures look as good (if they ever do make Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. figs).
  12. It's too bad that the game is apparently lacking. I've been interested in BrikWars but never had anyone to play it with.
  13. Kommotion wants a sandwich.

  14. The "Dares" Thread! This is a thread in which you can dare your fellow Eurobrickers to build things based on your challenges. How does it work? Well, you can format your dares like this: Dare - [insert initial dare here] DD - [double dare! Expand a bit!] TD - [triple dare!] BP- [bonus points; an outrageous challenge based on your original dare. This one's for all the InternetCookies!] I'll start: Dare - Build a vignette that contains at least 6 DC supervillians. DD - Make them all be working for a common cause! TD - Make Batman be coordinating this supervillian team. BP - Bonus points if the vignette is tiny - 8x8 or so.
  15. Brand-new Canadian (Manitoban) Eurobricker checking in. Hello!
  16. Bit late to the party - I dressed as a geek, ate lots of chocolate, and watched scary movies. Hardly any trick-or-treaters at my place, though. Almost 30, tops. I heard somebody in my town got nearly 500, though. How does that even happen?
  17. Great custom! The hair is outstanding - it looks like something straight out of the Exo-Force theme.
  18. Fantastic MOC! I love the flames they're leaving behind them, and Lois's hair. And I have to know, too - what is holding up those newspapers?
  19. If we could get a Canadian Lego Store in the Prairie Provinces - Manitoba or Saskatchewan, anywhere between Alberta and Ontario is just fine - that would be great. Wink wink, nudge nudge, idontwanttodrive13hoursformylego.
  20. Just registered for BETA -- looking forward to this game.
  21. I only wish I was in that area. No LEGO stores in Manitoba...no PAB. :(
  22. I would guess it's just a generic Ent. I agree that, were it Treebeard, TLG would say so.
  23. "Haven't you outgrown toys?" Lego bricks can create works of art - I don't know if you can say the same about your "grownup" activities like drinking and doing drugs. Furthermore, Lego is actually good for your brain.
  24. Manitoba! Yourself?
  25. Thank you both for the welcome! I agree, the dark ages (thanks to pressure from everyone else who's "mature" and "grown up") are difficult to deal with.
