  1. Well, I can't find a picture, but could you make me marines as they appeared in PotC: At World's End? They are they have blue coats, red facings, black Bandoliers, and a dark colored bandolier holder with the British East India Company seal. I could just be describing what the British East India Trading Company marines look like, but I would not know, I can't find a picture of them... or else, these marines could be merely peices of fiction devised by the writers of PotC. Though, that american marine looks similar to what I'm wanting, but lets wait until I am able to find a better picture.
  2. Certain amount of Spoilage below! Hmm... On reveiwing the movie in my head I saw numerous eferences to the attraction in the parks (Which I only saw them in the first one, they were absent in DMC). Now to show my intimate knowledge of the attraction: Davy Jones' locker, the screen goes black for a couple of seconds, and I for sure heard: 1."Strike your colors, you blooming cockraoches!"+ cannon fire which is from the Bombarding the Fort scene. 2."What be I offered for this winsome wench..." From the Auctioneer 3."Dead Men Tell No Tales!" from the Haunted Caverns 4.And misc. laughter and giggling from the burning town scene/chase scene 5.Barabossa says "You may not be survivin' to pass this way again," which is from the old Ghostly Narraration (replaced by Davy Jones in a waterfall 8-( ) at the end of the grotto scene and also part of the new Davy Jones narraration at the upramp. Still, as much as I enjoyed the movies, I hope they fade from the public spectrum in 5 years so that maybe the Disney Exec.s remove the God Forsaken Jack Sparrow, Barabossa, and Davy Jones animatronics, and return the ride back to what is was in the 1960's (Original Non- Politicly correct chase scene) even the version with the "Politicly Correct" chase scene would work. Just leave the original ride+performers alone and make the wanna-bes get their own boat ride. You know, when I was at Walt Disney World's inferior version, I said something simila to this, and all the Johnny Depp groupies who just came to the ride for him gave me some really bad looks. You'd be surprised how many there are...
  3. Warning: Plot Spoilers in rant! Having just seen the movie today I have to say, my opinion about them being incredibly biased against the British has not changed much. The Royal Marines: still mis-firing, only hitting something if it's a pivotal plot point, still not realizing that the section of docking that they are attempting to walk on is destroyed, and still being blown up with special effects. Endeavor, the British Flagship is promptly sunk in 1 pass. Look at paintings of naval battles, 3 deck ship of the lines are meant to hold up to more then that. Plus, Beckett starts going crazy, and none of his inferior officers have the sense to tell the men to fire. The only way the Endeavor could be sunk in 1 pass, is if one of the shots (none of which hit below the waterline) hit the power room, which is unlikely, because I believe that people still had to have had the sense back then to put the powder room on the orloop so that is is not very likely to be hit. Then there is Beckett's "SLO-MO" scene, where he is walking down the Endeavor's stairs, and as he walks the section of stairs behind him promptly blows up. Which could not have happened, they would not have cought fire like they did, just splinter... Unless, one of the ever-ignorant marines mixed up paint with blasting jelly. Also, Norrington's death was unnecessary, and he COULD have lived (I am not speaking on my liking of the character!) Was Bootstrap's actions necessary? Probably not. Once again, very anti-English. They also seem to have changed the British Marines from the traditional red w/ white facings over to what would appear to be the uniform of Royal Artillery. On a lighter note, the scene was Jack is hallucinating that copies of himself are crewing the Pearl was rather funny. "MY peanut" :-P
  4. Yes, I beleive he was making a JOKE. I could be wrong, but whats wrong with a little joking? Afterall, it keeps the members friendly (Mostly...)
  5. Hmm... Those of you who are making "provacative" comments are aware that what we are discussing is a child's plastic plaything that is smaller than 1" and is NOT a real female? X-D Anywhos- Exotic Mary Jane would take it because the torso is good for anyone who is dabbling in town, such as I. Unfortunatley, I do not own this figure but I am going to be using the Paradisa torsos in my (Hopefully) upcoming vigs called "Bad side of Lego City"
  6. No. But if he manages to, that would be amazing.
  7. Well, I love the series (Duh, look at my name) but with the exception of Norrington they make the British Marines/sailors/officers look like idiots who can't fire strait, when they would have had to go through months of training. In CoBP they missed Jack when he was standing almost still and they were in a large group (so that their shots would have a higher chance of hitting.)But in DMC, look at that! Jack-hole Sparrow shots off a perfectly strait slow-motion shot at the Kraken, when just 1 minute before, he was acting incredibly intoxicated.
  8. In the other words of Ron Burgendy: "Ladies and gentlemen, can I please have your attention. I've just been handed an urgent and horrifying news story. I need all of you, to stop what you're doing and listen.Cannonball! Ah, yes. I need to get around to watching AnchorMan again. Anywho- Unless it's one of the smaller thin-hulled no mid-section ship (Cross-Bone Clipper, Renegade Runner, Etc.) you're not going to get anything for $10-$35
  9. Here are mine: Jack Sparrow V.1 Jack Sparrow V.2 Will Turner Will Turner w/ ascot From the PotC ride (Technicley Pirates of the Caribbean) The Auctioneer: The Pooped Pirate: Hmm... :-/ looking at them now they could all use some work.
  10. Ah. Very nice. BUt Phred is on board? I feel very left out on the fun... :'-(
  11. Not unitl June, when my school ends.
  12. I've seen this at the Walt Disney World Lego store. I hate to burst bubbles here, but $3 for a single figure? That deal is horrid! Then there is $9 for 4 :-| The steep price for a single figure is not really worth it, and thats why I didn't buy any, but the figures were nice. If they were $2 then we'd be in buisness.
  13. Ahem... now to nitpick a little. "Realistic"? Hardly. Smileys were a nice generic thing, which wasn't that bad compared to what they could have done. They could have had a blank, meaningless expression like some clone brands I've had the misfortune of purchasing have. "Eyepatches, hooks..." Even though many pirates really lost eyes, eyepatches were extremly rare. Hooks, someone was obviously reading Peter Pan when they thought that up. Peglegs, I don't beleive there is any actual historical record. Pirates would have used crutches, like Long-John did in Treasure Island. Even the Muppet Treasure Island Long-John had a crutch, and not everything in the Muppets is ... "Acurate".
  14. Not if this would be the right place to ask, but what would the right pixel size be for resizeing decals? I mean, counting the little white thing on the edge so it dosn't some out to small.
  15. Reality: Only if doing something historical Like a "Napoleonic War Leader Pack" (8-0 think of, Horatio Nelson, Earl of St.Vincent, Napoleon, and many more! Oh... I'm drooling allready...), or a ship of the line set. Playability: Make it as unrealistic and playable as you want, as long as it's well designed and colored (Like Z's Phantom)
  16. Having read the Golden Fleece and currently reading the Iliad and Odyssey for English class, I think this would be wonderful! Though, the Trojan War should include Odysseus, Agnamemnon, The guy with "The shield like a tower" (I forget his name), Patroklos, Diomedes(?),Paris and possibly Helen. Hey, with all those figures, it should be worth $100, and if you say there are to many figs, BatP had 11, and they all looked pretty obnoxious. A Greek line would give Lego to explore some very cool building styles, and new helmets, sheilds, weapons, and torsos/legs to boot!
  17. I did enjoy it ;-) I just awnsered in a purposley stupid way...
  18. I was quite aware of that. Because, he wanted to be able to sell the song in England, and so he did, and got some money in his pockets.
  19. Wow. The British have a very high opinion of themselves, considering they LOST that battle. "The fired once more and the rebels began a runnin', all the way down to the gulf of Mexico." Unfortunatley, we didn't, in fact, they did. Plus, That would require running through the british lines to get there...
  20. Those are nice 8-
  21. Shallows? What shallows? Eurobricks has shallows? There we go! And I don't really "know it" per se, but it's more "Forced" on me... Maybe if I actuly cared for organized religon like Catholicism I'd actully care to learn it... Ah well...
  22. In a couple of weeks, probsbly the first week of june due to the hecticness of my school, and the first week is the end of the school year. Also because the Haunted Mansion is still being desgned and built.
  23. I'm not quite sure what my point for that was.. :S
  24. I only know a few words of latin. And even then I'm not very good at that. Anyway, this ship is very good, but I think it would look better if lengthend and having a longer sterncastle.
  25. Or else one night in Las Vegas and BAM! You wake up without one of your kidenys! :-P
