"Prophetic Prof. Trelawny" More like "Pathetic Prof. Tree-lawn-y" That figure is horrid. Anywhos, I can't seem to decide, probably the Fat Lady because she can be used as a portrait in a MOC Manor house.

I mean REAL food. As in Apple-Bricks, Grape-Bricks, Steak-Bricks... Need I go on? >:-)

Being a British Imperialist at heart, I must say that if I actully owned any, the woudl be any of the following: 1)Imperial informants, later to be made into slaves 2)Slaves who were previously Imperial informants 3)Native people(s) to be made into slaves 4)Slaves What did you expect from a Britsh Imperialist? Eqaulity? Abolishment of slavery? NEVER!!

It's like that "Play rock music back wards and you hear a message that makes you a satonic worshiper" thing... sumbliminal messaging by Lego and all that. I was young... ;-) That presents a problem, because the main reason for buying the Mega-Bloks was that they were very cheap, and I needed things to build a port with. Though I'm sure that you could do it :-P

I'll try. But I'm not sure if I can find it. I recently had a ton of town figs out, and that head was in it. But, I dumped all the figs (and the head) into a tub of unsorted parts. I'll see what I can do, it will be most likley the 2nd option.

LOL! Though I must say, it would be cool if foods were sold in the shape of Lego bricks, and you could build your meals out of it. *sweet*

Very nice. I am wondering, why are the leuteniants (the ones with pikes) not in the front of the formation?

Z: Real Royal Navy officers don't rhyme. it dosn't really matter, you get the jist of it. Also, he said MegaBloks will get a short fall and sudden stop. Zouave: This comic is also poking fun at the fact that the Royal Marines in PotC can't fire straght, and when they run they run in a "strange" way to put it lightly. With the exception of Norrington of course.

Well, I had some megabloks sets sitting on my Lego table seeing how they could be integrated into my Port layout, and this Idea over took me. Well lookie here, Jack Sparrow has escaped from jail *cough* again *cough* Of course, the Port Royal marines are goofing off as usual. Of course, they are so preocupied with what they are doing that the merely look up. As they run after Sparrow, they run with the grace and aim with the skill you have come to expect from the British marines in PotC. What's this? They have all been killed! Perhaps competent forces have arrived in Port Royal. Look! The new forces are storming the beaches! And look at their commander Commodore! Norrington's most famous qoute: "I'll make sure every man who sails under a Mega-Bloks flag or wears a Mega-Bloks brand will get what he deserves; a short fall and a sudden stop." ;-) Sorry about the crappy pictures and the fact that I own 4 Mega-Bloks PotC sets.

POTC 3 - From a Pirate LEGO Fanatics Perspective
Norrington replied to hans-thegreat's topic in LEGO Pirates
This has been nagging me for a while, but I havn't posted it yet. I was wondering, why did they switch from acurate uniforms (Red w/ white facings, blue w/ white facings) to the innacurate (dark blue w/ red facings, blue w/ gold facings)? Are they uniforms that the EITC used for their private army? I think so, but have been unable to find pictures of what the uniforms looked like in real life in the 1720's. -
Well, yes, that is true. But I don't own the figure, my friend does, and I believe he has some sort of stubble or facial hair, which guys don't get untill they are older and would not, therefore, be able to play a female part because their voices would have changed if they were growing facial hair. Also, about the white-capped maiden... *COUGH* KKK *COUGH* ;-)

Yeah, well an East India Company theme isn't violent! In fact, alot of the time during Britain's conquest of the east, everyone gave up hope so there was no resistence! :-P So, no violence there, just occupation forces.

Well, I found a picture of the Marines, but not a very good one:

Well, now I am very un sure when the mystery is going to take place. On my last week of school, it would seem that all my teachers are giving tests, so I am studying ALOT! That brings to light that the room in the Mansion thats (Nearly) finshed is the Foyer/Streching Portrait hall, which were intentioned as different, but are now one room. So, to distract you from the fact that you'll have to wait longer, here is a more detailed, more original sotry for the manor: Now, our story begains in 1840, when Henry Ravenswood found gold on Big Thunder Mountain. He founded Big Thunder Mesa and the Big Thunder Mountain Mining Company in 1842. This caued him to become fabulously wealthy. So, in Friday the 13, 1842, he moved him and his family into the mansion recently finished in the 'posh' end of town. After a few years, in 1845, he began distrusting the town officals and people of Big Thunder Mesa. He thought they were turning against him, and started having most of the gold from the mines brought through secret tunnels to the general store, then to his Mansion's win cellar. Unfortunatley, the plot was found out, and the people actully began to distust him. Fast forward to 1857, when Melanie, Henry's daughter, had become old enough to enough to wed. She fell in love with a town offical. Henry, still being distrusted by the town, was not so sure that he was down with this wedding. The town offical, who had over heard the sheriff and other conspirators, that they were going to rise up and kill Henry and his whole family! Alarmed when he heard this, her fiance told Melanie that when they wed, they must flea Thunder Mesa the next day. Henry over heard this, and was outraged! Not realising that ths fiance had good intentions, he planned to kill him. On Melanie's wedding night, all the guests were gathered in the grand hall, waiting impatiantly. The groom never arrived. Melanie, not very worried, waited untill her flowers wilted. The guests began to eat and waltz, showing no respect. Melanie, begining to grow discontented, went up to the room branching off the foyer, and realising there was a 'disquieting metamorphasis'. The room, where portraits were kept of their older family members, had streched, revealing all the members in an unlikley, but morbid turn of events. Not only that, above her, high in the windows of the copula, she saw a grisley sight: Her fiance hanging, anf her father in the act! Highly distressed, she ran to the attic and locked herslf in, only leaving for food at night. 4 of her fiance's friends came to the mansion to see where their friend was, but Henry killed them to. Melanie secretly requested that they all be intered in the Family Cemetary, under neath busts of them selves. The five busts stood proudly for a while, but Henry, in a fit of rage, took an axe to the head of Melanie's fiance's bust. The busts remain that way today, and some people say that at night, they may hear jazzy music, and see the busts singing the tune for 994 other Happy Haunts. In 1860, Henry and his wife were killed in a massive earth qauke that destroyed much of Thunder Mesa. Melanie is unknown to have survived or not. People have reported, while walking near Reavenswood Manor, that they can hear a voice saying, "One day, my groom will come", see a flickering light in the attic, and hear ghostly singing near the grounds. Perhaps Melanie has taken up room with a candle in the attic, waiting for her etheral groom for all eternity. Wow, I am surprised how many Haunted Mansion, Phantom Manor, and FrontierLand references I was able to work in there.

In addition to that East India Company marine I requested, I am wondering wether you caould also crate for me, a torso of Phantom Manor's Phantom, but on a black torso. Could you also, in addition to the actual torsos, could you also post them resized, because I'm having trouble doing that. Thanks!

The Ernest thing was great! I would never have though to use castle plumes as entrails though. Good work as allways.
-
I'd say I want a theme that centers around Britain's conquest and Imperialzation. YES, you read that correctly. I want ships flying the Union Jack and the Honorable East India Company's flag. Think of it. Sqaudrons of soldiers, ships with catchy paint jobs ;-) , Admirals, Commodores, Captains, Leuteniants, and many other things! And maybe LEGO could then provide us with bayonets as they were intended (instead of using Aqua Raiders knives and rubber bands.) Also, think of all the nice new torsos! Not only the orginal designs (Printed on blue+red bodies), we'ed also get new designs for different admirals, captains, grades of leuteniants, and East India Company soldiers.

Norrington replied to SirNadroj's topic in Pirate MOCs
HHHMMM... Not sure about how you would do the Junk going over the side, but I'll point out that the Junk's name is Empress -
I may be wrong, but I beleive it's a first name (In America) It's also a photo-editing program where you can make 3d back rounds.

POTC 3 - From a Pirate LEGO Fanatics Perspective
Norrington replied to hans-thegreat's topic in LEGO Pirates
All ready pointed out, by our PotC and HM ride expert ;-) Though I forgot to point out that they also played the begining of the "Yo-ho yo-ho a pirate's life for me" instrumental. -
WOW! The only other words I can use to describe it are from Futurama's Dr. Zodiberg- "I think that 2 of my 3 hearts just had attacks." Of course, I mean it in a good way ;-)
