  1. I put those in first! :D Wow, it is going to be a short story ;)
  2. Same here John until Lego had employee 50% off day on Friday. I picked up the following sets... 10131 - TIE Collection! (Yes, thats right, I bought more damn ties) 4504 - Millennium Falcon 10134 - Y-wing Attack Starfighter 4501 - Mos Eisley Cantina :D :D :P
  3. Two classic sets in the fall huh? Could it be my Sandcrawler or Sail Barge? hmmmm :D
  4. Yeah. I've just checked my Peeron inventory :$ Totals: 708 Sets (452 unique), 145,925 Parts, $14,923.85, 1,105 Minifigs. And this of cause does not include Pick-a-brick, Bricklink orders, BULK boxes and all the other strange way to buy Lego *wacko* I think it is time to stop buying more. Or maybee not :D I have no idea how much my collection is worth other than a good guess for Star Wars. It has to be at least $30,000. Some of the sets and bulk bricks I have bought at half price and some at a premium price. Then there are the large 60 lbs collections I have bought on Ebay that are worth thousands if you were to count how many sets make up the collection or priced by piece. On a side note... I myself like FBTB as well as this site. I don't look at the whole FBTB vs. Eurobricks as a fight. I look at it as a friendly competition. FBTB has lost a little of its luster when Tim walked away (when are they ever going to change the poll) but the team that runs it now do a good job. I know that FBTB are trying to do the right thing with their "Respect the Brick" policy and I respect them for it. My one true complaint is the megablocking and fighting about what not to post in the forums. It just became too much to handle. What I love about this site are the people that post to this forum. We all get along much better than most other forums I have ever posted to. I feel like we are all one big happy family and are always ready to welcome the newest member. I also have to thank FBTB because that is where I found the link to this site. :D Please lets not forget that sites like Eurobricks, FBTB, BOTB, Peeron, Classic Castle, Lugnet, ILTCO, etc. are all fans based sites that were created by fans for fans and make no money and rarely get donations. The people that run these sites spend their own cash and use their free time to update the site and post to the forums and do it because they love to. I started and ran a huge fan based website for the Dave Matthews Band for five years until I just had enough of people complaining and I shut it down. It just became too much for me to handle and at the end was no longer fun for me. I would hate to see this happen to any of the Lego sites. We all
  5. Sure, go ahead, kill my joy and my dreams Vader. Just put everything in a blender and turn it on high. ;)
  6. Yeah, but why have a bunch of small sets when you can (and have to) take out a loan to buy one $5,000 set? :P ;)
  7. BTW... thanks for the post! This spreadsheet is great! :D
  8. Steal away! ;) My total came to 97 sets - 34,567 pieces - and $3,722.03 US :D ----- As a mod for this forum I must give everyone a public service announcement... Stealing is bad hmm k! This forum does not promote or support stealing... ...Unless it is from fbtb! No wait, we post the news and they steal it... Ok stealing is bad :D ;)
  9. Me too! And my ideal Hoth set would be huge and cost a "Megablock" load of money. Do you think Lego would ever make a $5,000 set? ;) Well, I guess I will always have my wishlist! :'( ;)
  10. Wow, a carbon chamber playset never crossed my mind. That would be an awesome set. Add it to my wish list that also includes the Holth & Real Final Duel Playset. *wub*
  11. LOL! :P
  12. Lego stores in America do take phone orders. You can try to call one to see if they would ship overseas. We are told to ship in the US only, but if you ask nicely, maybe they will. My stores phone... 407-828-0065 :D
  13. Yeah the scorpion is cool, just not "Alpha Team"
  14. I don't really care for the Cloud City set, but it is much better than final duel 1 & 2. I also agree with you on the Jabba issue. But I much rather have the Jabba Palace (on sale at S@H for $19.95 US) the way they are than to have them like final duel 1 & 2 or even the cantina (much worse than the Jabba sets in my opinion). Your Moc looks great however! :D
  15. Thanks for the review Vader. I will try to see it this weekend. It is good to know they did not go "Megablock" on it. He he he. ;)
  16. Don't Lego cribs cost more than real cribs?? :D Just wondering ;)
  17. Cool pics John. Everything is looking great. I can't wait to see more. I will have my pics online as soon as I get a chance to put my tree up.
  18. True, very true. BTW... Our store has this set, along with every other 05 Fire set. You may want to check out your store David, if you want to spend the $10 that is. ;)
  19. A load of spare bricks -no ideas- throw them all together and what do you get??? NEW ALPHA TEAM SETS!!! :D ;)
  20. Oh, how true it is my friend. Tie Fighters are cool but not after Lego makes 1,256,587,584 different versions. :) A Hoth playset would be awesome as long as it is not like Final Dual 1 & Final Duel 2 :(
  21. It would be great if they did that at our store. :oo :P
  22. They may have been told to send them back to corp. We have been phasing them out by giving away a free mini with a $100 purchase. I have not been into work yet today so I will check it out. You are right about the sales, there are not many at the Lego stores. Our store does accept coupons from Toys R Us and others but we do not advertise our policy anywhere in the store, you just have to know about it.
  23. Who knows, but have some ice cream while you are here! :D
  24. Yeah, you should see how the retail operations work. We can't order anything. Corp. sends us what they think we should have. We can't even do special orders for customers. The only thing we can do is put in a request. We are also not allowed (legally) to tell customers about Shop At Home. We can be fired for it. Both divisions sued each other (reasons unknown). I just don't see how this helps the company. Also if the store manager had the power to order the store and the same inventory to pick from that S@H has, Lego would make a ton of money. A good example... last week at our store we were just about out of everything. We did not get product in until this Monday and it was all new 05 sets. We didn't get regular product in until Tuesday. Why run a business this way? The store manager is responsible for all sales but how can he meet budget when there is no product to sell?? All that the big shots need to do is work a week at the store to see how things need to be changed. It is much easier to see what is wrong by going to the source, not by sitting in an office. And I'm still waiting for the BNSF locomotive to come it :'(
