Yes, that is the real deal. Lego wanted to make a Duplo castle and did color research for 6 months. The research found kids were more likely to want the new colors over the old. Lego said it was two expensive to keep both new and old so they changed the greys and browns to reflect the Duplo image.

David, I do not know why you want to behave this way. We are all adults here and we need to respect each other. David, I don't think it is right to label people and call people names on this forum. Lego for adult fans is a hobby and just like all hobbies, people get obsessive and passionate. This does not make them "freaks"; they just love their hobby. AFOL's for the most part are upset about the direction Lego is heading. We are all on this website and post to this forum for all the same reasons. We all are passionate about Lego, we would hate to see Lego fall, and like it or not, we are all a little obsessive. Please think a little before making your next post. Writing to Lego may not solve any of the current problems at Lego but who knows how it will affect things in the future. At least by writing to Lego, Lego will know there are people who are upset. Thank you, Drew

I don't know why kids like Bionicles so much but someone at Lego needs a big promotion because Lego sells the hell out of them. The new Alpha Team line does look very rushed.

Megablock has been doing very very well. And just think, the more money they have the stronger they become. :(

Same here Vader. And we have the Duplo Castle & Tower to thank for the Grey & Brown changes. Before these sets Lego did not have these colors for Duplo. Lego wanted colors that were not as dark for young kids and they did not want to increase cost by making special shades for the Duplo Line. This is also why Lego would not change them back after many complaints. Also Lego looks at Adult fans as only 10% of total sales. All I can say is wow. If I did not love Lego I would wish for their demise. A company this stupid deserves to be financially punished.

Bionicle is Lego's best selling line. They are trying to cash in on the success of Bionicle with the Knight figures. At my store the Knights sell very well but Bionicles still outsell them 5 to 1.

Everyone raves about this set but I don't like the crocodile. I guess because I'm from the US, we have never had this style of train here. I do like Euro high speed trains. It would be great if Lego made a TGV or ICE train. Bricks on the Brain has some good instructions for these trains.
