  1. Yeah, no ugly gray sabers in this set. Yeah Jon, we should receive more any day now. There are two sets including one with Vader but we only received this set so far. Yes. They are regular legs and can be removed (just not the part that connects the legs to the torso). Even with the magnets, I have had no problems using them in regular applications. The magnets are very small and are hard to see unless you pick them up and really try hard to find them. ~Orlego
  2. OK, Vader... aim all targets at the Sarg. Put all backup units in place and fire at once!!!! Yeah and don't mess with us because we now have Emperor *cough*admin*cough* statis and a Death Star is on its way in August. *twisted* *devil* ;) BTW, I love the new advertising Vader. Keep up the good work!
  3. I voted for the great Orlego :D ;)
  4. I took a pic of my set and was just about to post it when I found that FBTB had beat me to it a few days ago. I purchased my set about a month ago when my store received a shipment (only 1 case). We sold out in a day and have not had anymore since. I would have posted it a month ago but you all know of my problems. Anyway, here is the pic... ~Orlego
  5. I felt that way at one time but now I look like I could be a father buying gifts for my children. The only time I feel weird is when I wear my Lego shirts or hats into a public area such as a store, park, etc. Usually I will forget that I have it on and it will not bother me until I look down and see a big minifig or Lego logo, then I will freak out. It is not as bad if the shirt is a tucked-in Polo with A small Lego logo. With the Polo I just look like a rep. for the company. :-D ;)
  6. Jipay's Dad... "Welcome back home son!! Now me and your mother want you out of here... and take your damn plastic blocks with you"... I hope everything goes smoothly. I hate moving just for the fact that it takes the cable company a week to hook your cable and Internet connection back up. Talk to you soon (I hope :-D ;) ) Orlego
  7. From the Lego Life Newsletter (edited) ... Lego System of Play celebrates its 50th anniversary beginning in August and will be marked by the appearance of four special bulk buckets and tubs (two Lego Duplo and two Lego Creator). Each of these products will contain a handful of limited edition "gold" bricks commemorating the golden year of the system of play - plus a Legoland California offer of one free child's admission and discount coupons for other tickets. Promotional products will be placed in a total of 17.5 million breakfast cereal packets, and negotiations are proceeding with Pepsi and other brands. There may be a partnership with the American National Trust for Historic Preservation - and there will be building competitions and other fun and games at Legoland California. Tie-ins will include special campaigns at Toys-R-Us and other stores, and will also be profiled in the Lego Club and Brickmaster magazines. Lego may have similar promos in Europe but the article makes it sound like it is a US only thing.
  8. Sorry it is late but here is the link... http://www.nathanbrickartist.com/ The guys name is Nathan Sawaya.
  9. Agreed! It is working very well with the Bionicle line. (I however hate Bionicles) The Alpha Team line does limit imagination more than the other sets but KK2 and the rest of the new line seem to have no limits. Children can also build whatever they want with the Alpha sets but I understand your point. I have to disagree. Anymore children do not seem to have an imagination, at least here in the US. Children and parents always ask if instructions for the alternative models are available in the box or online. When you tell them they are just ideas the parents get upset but the kids seem like they want to see if they can mimic the picture. Kids are still not using their imagination because they are using an already made pic of a MOC to build from but it is a start in the right direction. If the ideas were not on the box I think most kids would not try to build anything else. We also get many guest asking us what type of glue we recommend for the models because there kids want to keep their fire trucks in one piece. Parents are only deterring creativity and imagination by gluing the sets. It is very upsetting to know parents are the main reason why children are not using their creativity anymore. Video games do not help and have been hurting the toy industry as a whole but we must remember that the parents are buying the games in the first place. I had video games and Lego when I was a child but my parents believed in a good balance and also would build with us. Parents today just seem like they buy video games to have electronic babysitters. Very few customs I talk to say they actually build with their children. Most say they do not have the time to do so or say
  10. I don't know, but the Turbo Tank looks like a ATAT with it's legs cut off and wheels added. It is a very cool set in person. *satis*
  11. Maybe, but the newletter stated "Release Date August 1". If it was a pre-order they say "Pre-order". We use this info to pass along to our customers in case someone asks and it has not been wrong yet. And the word is out about the "Unconfirmed set". People as about it everyday. :-D ;)
  12. We have all the new Episode 3 sets here in the US. We received them all last Saturday. :D
  13. What Sandcrawler??? ;)
  14. Ours are probably marked down to $20. I will have to check. 10 of these would make an awesome addition to my army. :D ;)
  15. If this has been posted I will close the topic... Last time I knew the Death Star had a release date set for sometime in September. According to the official Lego Life Newsletter, the Death Star will arrive on August 1. :D
  16. Oh yeah ;) This will be, at least, interesting :-D Being Bac+6 to be a secretary sucks *wacko* Orlego, Is this ex-6fig lawyer has a website with his personnal collection?? He could open his own Lego store with that amount spend annually for a couple of years ;) He has a website but I don't know it off-hand. I will look it up and post again. The guy does some amazing work.
  17. Hehehe, you can't hide from your posts Vader! I missed this place but I'm back for good. Thanks for everyones warm welcomes. :D
  18. WELCOME BACK ORLEGO! We missed you! Thanks Jay! I missed everyone here. You all are like family. Welcome back Thank You! And does anyone know how much a year Master Builders get paid? The lawyer went from a 6 figure a year job to a $30,000 a year position as a Master Builder. He has been in a ton of interviews and everyone always ask him this question. He said he took the job not for the money but for the love of his hobby and the honor of being a Master Builder. He also stated that he spent $15,000 to $20,000 a year on Lego for his own collection when he was making 6 figs.
  19. Tanks for the info guys! I will tread lightly on this subject. I don't want this subject to become black listed with Lego, I will keep it in the safe Brown area.
  20. Could it possibly feature any Sand colored bricks if it were maybe real?
  21. I must say that without you our laziness increased big times LOL Was there any tie in those 1500$ ? I hope not because I must defeat you Yes, one tie with a small light up version of my other half. And did hear about you throwing an un-built Destroyer my way? What new position do you have? I really can't talk much shop anymore. I'm kind of scared of what I can and can't say.
  22. Yeah, we seem to be the Batman and Robin of the Eurobricks Community. VADER PLEASE COME BACK TO US!!! If that does not work I will have to sent out the Bat Signal. :D ;)
  23. Hey Jipay. I feels great to be back. How have you been? Has Vader kept the Army going? I posted my return here if you did not get to see it. ~Orlego
  24. They are made by Treston however I have not found a place in the US that sells them, have you yet? You can buy the cheap ones in Target, Wal-Mart, Lowes, Home Depot, etc but they do not have them in black and they only have one or two sizes. I would love to get them from Treston but I can't find a US seller. >:( |-/
  25. I voted for the Santa Fe Super Chief. This has always been my favorite. I had three N-gauge sets when I was a kid and the SF really got me into the Lego train market when they released it. I also love the BNSF but I wish Lego would release rolling stock for it and sell it as the BNSF collection. The Cargo Train is a great traditional Lego train set and really the best value. I also have a warm place in my heart for the Metroliner but Lego charges way too much for this set.
