Team Beta Community Build MOC's

Ooo another great part of the castle! I like the fact it looks like a mountain. The interior looks great as well.

Dwarves all the way!

BTW you have a really low member no. you must have joined and not posted for a long time?

Yup, I joined a few years ago but never really posted anything. Early on I posted a few MOCs...it's kind of funny to go back and look at them now and see how much my building has changed since I first joined.

I would post every now and then, but in my few years of being here nothing has really grabbed my attention like the EBCCB has. :classic:

Glad to have helped you become such a frequent poster/moc'er then.

I'm almost finished my Butcher, then I'm building a Forest men tree house, I hope it will look as great as it does in my imagination.....

Excellent. I like the sound of the Forest men tree house...is that an EBCCB module that you just came up with or is it just an MOC you want to do?

Well both actually it will be EBCCB first, then if I find time and like the product, and get more brown I will build a larger MOC someday too. I put it on the options list.

That's a great idea ISC. It's funny, I was just looking over at my old Forest men sets the other day and was thinking how cool it would be to have them included in the castle build.

Can't wait to see more of this awesome project. I'm currently working on the bank, it's getting pretty cool. Although, that's my opinion so far.

I think we do need a Forest men embassy as either a wall module, or a tree converted into a base somewhere in one of the castle parks. Speaking of which, I think we should try and include as many different Castle-theme embassies as possible, because what kind of Community castle of AFOLs would it be if it didn't include the classic factions? :classic:

Well I don't own any Black Falcons, but I could put it on the list. What were some of the other factions during my dark ages?

Wolfpack?

Dark Forestmen?

Please no KK though!!!! Though I am in charge, if there is enough demand for it I guess it can be included, though that module will have to be made entirely our of BURP and LURP pieces

What about KK1 though? I understand KK2, but I think KK1 is still quite good.

Also, if I really want to do a KK2 for the sake of it, can I justify it by having it under siege from the rest of the castle?

I'll admit that I too was wrong about KK1. I keep thinking about KK2. Some of the KK1 mini-figs are pretty nice. I think they get a bad rap because of KK2.

I think KK2 can be in the castle modules. Maybe the Dungeon as prisoners or victims of some of Thrashs' creations.

For my next module I present my

Gosh...another great part of this great build!!

It looks exactly like a tree. Smart idea to build a 'house' in it.

But I think it's better to place the tree outside the city. It's a piece of nature and in a city there's almost no nature. But that's just my opinion, you're doing great!

Thanks, I have finished my Butcher, just need to find butcher like figures to go in it...... :classic:

Edit:

The Butcher

m_001.jpg

The Butcher has learn't about hairnets, or beardnets for that matter, in medieval times!

m_004.jpg

What do you mean no chicken this week!?

m_010.jpg

Some choice cuts of meat hanging in the back.

m_013.jpg

It can be tough getting the meat smell out of the bedroom.

Nice work! I like the shop with the pieces of meat in the ice-filled crates. I also like the 'preparing' of meat in the back of the shop.

The stairs have a nice wooden look. It won't be a pleasure to sleep in the bedroom above because the smell indeed.

The bedroom could use some details to make it more cozy.

Great work anyway!

So a bed and bath aren't cozy enough for you? Theres even a bed side table and tall boy in the corner.

m_014.jpg

Just kidding, thanks for the nice comments

EDIT: Just realized there is a stud attached to the roof missing off the top of this floor....

I like your butcher very much, but the bedroom has a 'cold' looking. I think it's because the walls are white. But using another colour would ruin the coloursheme.

Looking forward to your next project.

Here's the first of my new castle keep modules.

Knight's Quarters

knights-quarters---top.jpg

knights-quarters---top-2.jpg

On this side of the room, a maid is doing some cleaning, wile a couple knights enjoy a meal and drinks.

knights-quarters---close-up.jpg

knights-quarters---close-up_4.jpg

On the other side of the room, a knight is sleeping in the background, while another knight gets help putting his armor on.

knights-quarters---close-up_3.jpg

The second of my new castle keep modules.

Stairwell

stairwell---top.jpg

stairwell---front.jpg

Here's the first floor, where a maiden is preparing supplies while a servant helps get the supplies to the second floor.

stairwell---1st-floor.jpg

In the background behind the spider web lies the remains of a poor soldier who fell down the stairs and lies unnoticed and forgotten.

stairwell---1st-floor-2.jpg

On the second floor, a servant is organizing supplies, while another is pulling up more supplies from the first floor in a basket.

stairwell---2nd-floor.jpg

I also had to add a couple pics of how the keep modules look when put together.

Another stunning part of the project! Awesome!

Knight's quarters: I like the different beds and details, the  knight is a nice touch. It's cool with the hallway attached.

Stairwell: I like the way the supplies are transported all over the castle. I feel sad for the poor soldier who felt behind the staircase... :skull:

By putting all modules together you'll get an awesome building. It would be so cool to see every module build till now, connected to eachother.

Great work so far and I can't wait to see more modules! :sweet:

Just brilliant! I love all the modules together as well!

BTW Darkagent, where did you order from, as there are some pieces I need to get like the windows, all the nice coloured tiles, doors, and the brown 1 x 2 plates with one stud on top too?

Cheers, and goooooooo Beta!

I really like all the new additions being posted, (even if some of them are Betas):

ISC - I love the large treehouse. I think it's a nice creative addition inside our castle walls...after all we need some greenery in town!

The Butcher is also great, especially the way you have the meat hanging in the back and the woman upstairs cleaning the floor. I bet it was really smelly in general to live in a walled town in the middle ages, but especially near the butcher, the fishmonger and the dyers.

Dark Agent - Wonderful knights quarters. I like all the details like the designs in the tiled floor, the bowl of water, the shelves etc. But, I especially like the way the guy sleeping looks so content... Great stairwell too, I like the details with the busy servants. And it's great to see the keep modules put together like that.

Just like everybody else, I wish we could see the whole castle together!

After many long hours of building this weekend, I bring you my biggest (and hopefully best) module yet...the Tavern and the Dock!

First, the Dragon's Flagon Tavern:

title1.jpg

A close-up of the entrance:

entrance2.jpg

An overall shot of the bar:

bar13.jpg

A closeup of the bar:

bar15.jpg

A few guys are playing darts upstairs:

darts2.jpg

The owner of the bar watches everything going on while he enjoys a large feast:

bar6.jpg

Take off the top floor and you get this:

inside1.jpg

A wench is leading one of the tavern's patrons back to the guest room for some fun...:

hall2.jpg

Err...to get killed by the assassin waiting there:

guestroom.jpg

There's also a kitchen:

kitchen4.jpg

Behind some barrels the Tavern owner has some smuggled weapons and gold hidden:

smuggled1.jpg

The dock:

title2.jpg

The lookout is watching the seas while the other worker starts moving the crane to get ready for the incoming ship:

dock7.jpg

Meanwhile another crewman moves barrels while another checks the crab-pot:

dock5.jpg

The small fishing ship that's pulling up to the dock:

ship1.jpg

While the captain steers the boat in, one crew member drags the fishing net through the water while another pokes the shark that they caught with a spear:

ship3.jpg

Meanwhile, the boats mermaid sits in her tub of water while a crewman gets ready to feed her some fish:

ship4.jpg

And here's the decal I used for the tavern's logo:

taverndecal.jpg

Tons more pictures can be found in the brickshelf folder, but I didn't want to go too much over the limit. :classic:

I hope you enjoyed looking at it as much as I enjoyed building it! It was a lot more difficult than i thought to build a big module, but I'm pleased with how it turned out.

Thrash delivers yet another great module.

The Dragon head looks awesome and great choice of color for the exterior.

The inside was just chaotic and first look. Just how a den of vices should be. I also like how you made the barrels of ale.

The kitchen's great. The chef even has a neckerchief!

I like the cute little crab box. Poor shark bleeding to his death. Ah well~

Oh my. Give me a second to breath.

...

Right, thanks.

Thrash, this looks great! I was wrong in the other thread, that entrance is very dragon like, once I see it from a different angle. And the interior! I hope once I get mine done it will be as good as that. I envy people who can build fantastic interiors. Truly a wonderful building, with tons of eye-catching details. And it involves dragons! I don't suppose there's a secret room in the basement where the Order of the Dragon meets, is there?

There is so much I like, I honestly can't list it all, so I won't. Although I must say that your decal is excellent! Now I need to take a nice, long, close look at all the pictures.
