Any tips for building the back of a pirate ship
Captain Becker replied to Firefighter 211's topic in LEGO Pirates
Try designing first in Digital Lego, and look for inspiration from offical Lego sets and other peoples MOCs. Goodluck whit it! Captain Charles J. Becker -

Well first of all I think youre being too critical of yourself. Your first attempt isnt an utter disgrace as you put it, you shoudlve seen my first ships how bad they were. Its a great looking ship whit parts you got at the time! That aside, this one is a great improvement and upgrade to it! Youve come a long way in terms of shipbuilding techniques! Captain Charles J. [MOC] - Pirates of the Children seas - a sloop

Well its a neat little sloop I give you that. However it aint a Bermuda sloop, Bermuda sloops had instinctive raked mast that was slanted to give it that rogueish type look. For more info and detail see the video below: https://youtu.be/XW-kx6C4WNk?si=UjW8GPKduFF_Xu9r -
I used to do this as well in the olden days whit LDD. Very nice remakes!

Very nice! I love how you kept the classical color scheme of the Imperial Armada! -
You know what, I had totally forgotten about that video and these..... Thanks for bringing it up again!

There arent any offical instructions other than one singe picture as far as I know. So you had/Have to reverse engineer it from that often EDIT: There might be some fanmade model instructors online these days though who have made the instructions already, but I dont know any sites for em.

It would work for any sailor/pirate I think, afteral beanies were very common sailor wear in the period. They didnt wear Cocked hats or bandanas as were let to believe.

3 for me. Displayability, and the cloth sails and flag are great. Modifications: Easy to do to make Her a Pirate/Trading vessel. Price: Not for me. I´ll happily skip this simply because of it.
