    Pricing of Imperial flagship 10210

Yes, and while there at it I would like them to increase the Canadian set prices so that we are all equal. :pir-skull: Alright, now that we have gotten done bashing each other I will say that there are only two Americans that have responded to this thread to my knowledge and one of them (Me) did say in my last post that I could see your point. I have heard so much complaining in the last few weeks (not necessarily on this forum) that it gets to me after a while. I would check to make sure that it IS Lego's fault for the high prices BEFORE bashing them. I do know that when the Canadian dollar was higher than the US dollar that the prices were pretty high in Victoria BC when I was there a few years ago. Good luck on lowering the pricing and in the mean time I would try to find an alternative way to get your ship.

    REVIEW: 10210 Imperial Flagship

I absoluty would NOT put super glue on your Legos. It will ruin the set because you will want to take it apart in the future and then you won't be able to, and with a set this rare I would never do that. One way to strengthen it might be to change the design but, that is just my opinion. Hope you enjoy. P.S. Let your husband be afraid to play with it so that you can play with it more.

    Restoration HELP NEEDED

I really think that it is just soap scum or something of the kind on the bricks. If you look at pictures of the bricks it seems to cover the crevises between the buttons which indicates that something got on it. I would try to clean the bricks several times before selling it at a low price. I do agree with you on getting another one instead of buying the pieces one by one. I would at least get a beat up one and then referbish it. Good luck on your project.

Alright, I agree that you have a point. I guess I just get tired of hearing people complaining about Lego when they are making great sets but, I can understand if you don't like the rising prices. I wonder if it might be some kind of tax that is making the prices of the sets go higher. As I heard it there were only two countries with Lego prices that high Finland and Iraland. Maby there is some kind of import tax or other charge that is making the prices go up. Look into where the Legos are manufactured and where they are coming from. That information shouldn't be to hard to get. Than you might be able to figure out why the prices are so high.

    Prince of Persia 2010

I like the turrets because they look better and I don't mind having the back open as it gives a way to see in the inside. Also if you look at the video game PoP SOT you will notice that the architecture looks more like whats used in that poster rather than whats on the actual kits. However, this is just all of my opinion. I will say that the big PoP set looks a little small for what is supposed to be the biggest PoP set but that is also just my opinion.

    Castle Sets 2010

I am really starting to get into the castle theme again. That new castle looks great so far. I just wish we had a better picture of it.

I disagree. Who says that those are stickers. And personaly I like the extra large towers and the extra amount of texture. If you don't like the decals than don't put them on. Even though I like the sets that we have all seen on the box art I would like the set in the poster a lot more.

    Community Build: Government House

Really nice MOC. I like how you put so much detail into a white building. Those window sills look great. I would just change the color of the roof to something that goes with the white more. It is just looking too black and white. Other than that it is a great looking government house.

Really nice ships. I am curious how your three decked warship is going to turn out. Can't wait to see them all finnished. P.S. The bluecoats may have more ships but us redcoats have bigger ships and better sailers and more ingenuity.

    Community Build: Shipyard Master's Office

Great MOC. I like how you have the anchor about to fall on people and I like how you made it tall and skinny. I also liked all of the detail that you put into it. And the ship building master with the cane is really great. Great shipyard masters office.

    Fight of the Sides

I would really try to add some more in the background. Other that that it is great. I really enjoyed the swordfight and all of the detail that you put into that. Great looking video so far. Look forward to seeing it in February.

I really like how you are using brown masts. I hate the black ones but your brown masts are just perfect. I also like how you didn't make the ship too wide or too narrow. It is just perfect. Looking forward to seeing the completed model.

    Siblings Of the Sea Orphanage

I really like how you did the walls. They are just perfect. They aren't too messy but, they aren't too boring either. They are just right. I also like how you have the two kids trying to escape and the evil pirate winch is keeping them in with a pitch fork. That is great. So now I have to ask the question "how many kids get injured/hurt in this orphanage?" and what is the survival rate. :pir-skull:

    Community Build: Bakery

I don't like croissants. Arrg, I slit your throat if you don't make me some cookies. Arrgg Arr Arrg. Just kidding. I like it. It has a lot of detail and I like how you used the croissant rolls instead of trying to maked loaves of bread with bricks. You did a very nice job and I like the celler being used for the bakery. P.S. How many times has that croissant shop gotten robbed.

    Pricing of Imperial flagship 10210

Well I agree with you on that. It just seems that people are trying to find something to complain about. I mean first it was "we don't have any pirates". (Ill bet you would all have payed the high prices then to get a pirate set.) Than it was "there weren't good pirate sets just the dreaded jelly bean stuff". Than "the pirate sets weren't detailed enough or large enough such as BBB". Now it is "that the price is too high". We have been very lucky to have Lego listen to the fan community (since that is not its Biggest market) and produce some of the best sets it ever has producef. Why do we have to Complain all of the time when Lego is making great sets. Now that being said go ahead and don't buy the high priced Imperial Flagship now. I will be able to get more of them Cheaper and then and I might Sell you one for (Oh say) $500 in a few years :pir-skull: .

Great looking ship. I would however offset the gunports and put a little more detail on the headrails. I would also extend the beak. Other than that it is a really cool looking ship.

    Pricing of Imperial flagship 10210

I have to admit that this is a rather expensive set but, I wonder if some of the expense is due to the current economic situation we are all in right now. 20 years ago Lego was a lot cheaper and you could get a "big set" for a lot less. But if you think about it Lego was just doing about 7 or 8 different colors back then and they used the same piece with the same color for a huge variety of sets. This meant that Lego could produce more legos without having to use more machines due to different colors. And if you look at the sets back then they didn't have as many parts. The SES was the biggest ship prior to the IFS and it only had over 800 parts and it went for $126. The Imperial Flagship has over 1600 parts and most of them are in rare, hard to find colors, so I wouldn't start bashing Lego for all of the high prices. If you want to get a Imperial flagship for cheaper than buy it from the US but, you don't need to criticize Lego for trying to make a profit.

    REVIEW: 10210 Imperial Flagship

I didn't have any problems with the prow but, then I only use my ships for display. It is a beautiful piece but, I would like to swap out the organ for a dining table or something of the sort.

    Treasure count

I like your idea of counting the coins. Whats the point in having a huge navy if you don't have the treasure to defend.

REVIEW - 6277 Imperial Trading Post

Very nice review. Although not all of your pictures loaded I was quite happy to see all of the details in the pictures that did load. I also liked to see some good pictures of the box. Thanks for a great review. P.S. You made a good choice to open it. Over time cardboard boxes can leak a type of acid that will destroy the plastic bricks so you made a good choice.

    Restoration HELP NEEDED

First of all I would wash the bricks in warm soapy water. I would be very careful not to let the water get too warm. Sometimes when plastics are stored in plastic bags it can effect the chemical compound of the plastic thus causing discoloration or it could be something dirty, like food, got on the parts. I would wash them very carefully and make sure they are clean. If none of this works there is always bricklink. Hope that this helps.

    New Update French frigate 'Vesta'

I was just wondering about the color scheme. It looks really nice but, didn't France have different color scheme than England? I had always thought that france was white and black or red and black and that england was black and yellow. Please correct me if I am wrong. I was just wondering because I am going to be building a frigate my self real soon and I would like to know for that reason. P.S. I really like how you did the window galleries. That was really creative.

Yeah, I will have to pass too. I would really like to get that imperial flagship with the box but the new one could blow the old one out of the water so I will get the new one.
