Not what I said at all. My concern has to do with eurobricks. I find your use of the term Nazis disingenuous as if it will somehow validate your viewpoint. I completely understand why TLG is doing what it is doing. But I don't think it is beneficial to this community if it becomes a reoccurring theme as I have stated previously.

Yes, such as, meaning for example but not limited to said information. It wouldn't make sense to say you can't mention the title but could freely discuss the content. Seeing as the content is what they are trying to not have discussed.

The nature of business is such when you do something and it's successful you tend to do it again. Especially if no one objects to your actions. TLG is already a very secretive company in terms of leaks. Complete embargos could easily become norm if they decide to deem it to be economically beneficial. That's why you can't just to see if it will happen again. An open discussion needs to occur not just with the members and Eurobricks. But also between Eurobricks and TLG. Those who bury their heads in the sand are the first to get kicked in the butt. Dear LUG Ambassadors Given the sensibility of the LEGO related products connected to the upcoming Star Wars movie it has been decided to treat all images and information as highly confidential and therefore business critical. This means that we would like you to help us contain leaking of these informations until the embargo date of Septemer 4th. Until then we need you to refrain from hosting images and information such as set number, set names and set pricing. I know the frustrations and concerns this will probably raise in the AFOL community and we would not ask if it wasn't of highest importance. It clearly states all images and information. This is not just my opinion but was stated as such by Huw over at Brickset who said no discussion was to be allowed concerning the sets in any fashion.

From what I understand nothing that has anything to do with he sets can be discussed.

The origins are irrelevant. What matters is what happens here at Eurobricks. This is how it starts. Oh it's just Disney, oh it's just a couple of weeks. And wham the next time around no one knows what to do. That's why you, have to nip this in the bud quickly. We have five more Star Wars movies after TFA. Are we to expect this every time? How does Eurobricks plan to deal with this for the next five years? Will we be seeing this for all Disney IP's? It's a slippery slope, the further you go down the faster you go. I think many people are here for the same reason, thus my concern.

I think when TLG ends something, it just ends. They don't throw a party and often don't let the public know it's about to happen. With all the other small holiday sets and this rerelease, obviously TLG believes a market exists to support such sets. The way it's presented has already changed by the dropping of the winter village theme. And we may see other changes including the frequency the sets are released. I do imagine we will see further such sets in the future.

My concern is where does it end? TLG could start doing this for any and/or all themes. Eurobricks and other sites have just proven how easily they fold to TLG's wishes. It's not like this information just showed up today. I could understand if we are talking about confidential material, but these sets have been already sold by retailers to the public. Was Eurobricks ignoring the embargo before today, because other sites have been following it for awhile? I think this is an issue that Eurobricks needs to address in a very open manner. Is there a line that the powers to be here will not cross? Or are the members here going to always be at the mercy of TLG every time they come calling? The end result may be that member go elsewhere and decide to not come back. And those who provide the information that drives much of the discussion here may follow. I get that Eurobricks wants to maintain their relationship with TLG, but the bigger concern is what is Eurobricks going to do to maintain a strong relationship and trust of its members.

Indeed, because they weren't running their company like a business. They let creativity and innovation be the deciding factor in all decisions. Creativity and innovation definitely need to be apart of their company but decisions must be backed by sound business practices. I've seen many people go under by letting their ideals overwhelm any business sense. People complain on eurobricks all the time about TLG not producing new minifigs, new sets , new themes. This is what almost caused them to go bankrupt in the first place. They repeat fire and police in city sets because they sell. The feature batman in DC because he sells. They don't continually make new pieces and minifigs because they all cost money. They reuse old ideas because they were successful and can be again to an ever changing market. If it works don't fix it. As a business owner myself I can relate to this and realize the perspective of a customer can be very different from the business owner.

There is nothing to apologize for. TLG made a business decision that fit into the overall picture of running a billion dollar company. Failure to understand that simple fact will always lead to the failure to understand why they do what they do. As a business owner you make decisions that benefit the company as a whole. TLG could produce all sorts of products, but will only do if it fits into achieving short term and long term goals. Very basic concepts of business ownership. Not to mention finding a spot on shelves for another product where every inch is filled.

There are limits to everything. If designing and producing sets were as quick and easy as you make it seem then they should be able to produce thousands of sets a year. Producing a bad set would be worse than producing nothing at all. The last few releases have seen plenty of complaints from people here who didn't like the sets, the prices, etc. So slapping together a set just to make people here happy would make no business sense at all. Especially when the people on sites like this only represent a small percentage of TLG's customers. TLG's sales have increased as well as their customer base since this set was last released. There are plenty of people who will walk into a LEGO store, buy this set and have no idea of its previous release. TLG is running a business and businesses are never going to please all of their customers all the time. They make imperfect decisions in imperfect situations. This reminds me of the controversy last Christmas then there were those claiming TLG was ruining their children's Christmas by releasing the Disney frozen set in January. The president of TLG was asked about this and his response was great. He basically said TLG was happy to produce the set, thought it was great, but in he overall picture one set didn't mean much. One set isn't going to make or break them considering they produce hundreds of products a year. If the decision was wrong then they will pay the price financially and will change their future strategy. While I understand the dissapointment that people feel, instead of acting like TLG canceled Christmas they should be happy TLG produced so many winter village sets to begin with. All good things come to an end and TLG proves that every year.

The real question is exactly how many male knights has TLG created over the years. That total could possibly exceed the number of actual Knights, male or female. Thus TLG should halt all future production since they may be distorting actual history.

The advent calendars last year definitely disappeared quickly. I wondered if they had made less since the previous years they could still be found after Christmas. Either way I wouldn't wait at all. The Star Wars craze is about to explode. Secret surprise?

The other possibility is its a Rebels set though small. There was a t least on ugnaught on lothal near the beginning of season one. And at some point Lando becomes involved with cloud city. But I'm not sure exactly when. Obviously it was used for other purposes than freezing Han. A stretch maybe, but it's obvious that Lando is becoming an integral part of the show.

I've seen the city advent at toys r us, but not this one. I don't love it but will be it anyways. Not Christmas without Star Wars.
