Hello Eurobricks, I'm proud to share my latest collaboration with Tyler (Legohaulic). This is a 7’x7′ display of a floating world shattered into fragments, whose citizens are now rebuilding their lost home. You can see more detail shots on Tyler‘s and my Flickr photostream. -Nannan

My portion has been sitting in my room for over 2 years, but actual building time would probably be weeks to months.

New modular building? 10224 Town Hall

I wonder what the price tag on this will be.

This is an opportunity for builders to donate custom Lego creations and raise money to buy Lego for underprivileged children during the holidays. Oasis

Long after the humans have abandoned their planet and consumed its resources, the thinking machines once made by Man resurrect a new paradise from the sands of the wasteland. Video Flickr MOCpages Oasis is the second collaborative diorama by Tyler Clites and Nannan Zhang. It was built from April to June 2011 and contains approximately 25,000 pieces over an area of 5 ft by 7 ft. The creation was inspired by the idea of a spinning wheel towering above a pool of moving water. Enjoy!

    Mirage

Here’s the latest collab between Tyler and me called Mirage, I know we just posted Oasis here recently, but don’t be fooled into thinking we built a new diorama in just two weeks. Mirage was built over the course of 6 months. It’s inspired by the concept of a sanctuary in the sky built without baseplates. Thus, the form of this diorama is the main highlight. High in the sky, the guardians of the seven virtues watch over and protect the world below from falling into a sinful abyss. Flickr MOCpages Teasers

    Mirage

Thanks for the comments, Mirage was inspired by the concept of a sky garden. It was molded around the modular platform design that eventually gave way to everything you see in the photo.

Thanks for the comments everyone, a lot of people asked about the water effect, so I'll update this thread with a video in the coming two weeks. And for those who asked for more collaborations, Tyler and I have another one coming next week for Brick Fiesta, so stay tuned! -Nannan

  17. Hello Eurobricks, From now until early December, you can buy a custom Lego creation made by Lego fans from around the world. All proceeds will be used to give Lego sets to underprivileged children during the holidays. This is an annual opportunity where Lego enthusiasts use their creative hobby to support a great cause. As buyers, you can own the original creations from a diverse array of builders and customizers, several of whom are among the best at what they do. To get started, visit the store on Bricklink to purchase a creation. Many of your questions can be answered there as well. Take a look at a sample of what’s for sale below. More items will be constantly added throughout November, so check often! We accept creations for the fundraiser until December 1st. We also accept monetary donations at the store. For either form of donation over $50, you will receive an engraved Creations for Charity 2010 keychain assembled and glued by LEGO Certified Professional Sean Kenney and topped with a real gold-plated Lego brick from ChromeBricks. I sincerely hope you’ll take part in this event and help us set a new record. You make a lot of kids happy. Merry Christmas! I will check this thread often to respond to any comments and questions you may have. I will also greatly appreciate it if you can spread the word. Thanks! -Nannan
  18. I noticed a bunch of recycled parts appearing in different colors. I hope that's not the case when the actual product comes out.
  19. I'm not an expert on Eurobrick's recent activities, but I managed to find the first two pics with ease. Strangely enough I'm enjoying this hunt so far!

    Review: 7145 Von Nebula

Tainting those awesome black spikes and sphere with blue is such a fail. So many black fantasy creatures will never be made because of this move.

Nice ship, the nose is great and so is the use of that decal.

I don't like lightsaber blades pointing out of the smaller side of the hilt, so I voted Arealight's.

    MOC: Containment

Hey guys, Tyler and I are pleased to present a collaboration project, our best work so far. This diorama measures over 6 feet by over 5 feet, and we have been working on it for the past two months. Tyler built the alien wasteland, and I made the biosphere processing facility. My favorite aspects of this build are the details that bring life to this creation including lights, motion, and even music that comes from built-in iPod speakers. You can see most of it in this video. If you're coming to Brickworld, you can experience it all in person. We hope you enjoy Containment. You can see all photos in the Containment Flickr group. -Nannan
