Rather, let's think it simple. Do you remember the list that tandnbricks released on April Fools' Day?

    1. Simpson will return

    2. Horizon isn't a one off

    3. Lottr returns in 2025

    4. Pokémon is coming

    5. Endor is the next mbs

    6. Indiana Jones will return

Perhaps Renown's 1984 quote to us means endor mbs, which will be released next year

    Please don't repeat clear clickbait.

    Thank you very much!

    Actually, I don't

Not so long ago I bought the recent one as part of a used Lego convolute on ebay but never (re-)built it. And I got the cockpit glas of the older one separately even longer ago, as it looked unique to me.

Sometimes there is a good bargain on ebay like "1kg used Lego in grey" and I bought one or two on that occasion.

Oh even better! I love those bulk lots. I have some very cool pieces I wouldn't have gotten otherwise because of some of those.

I am very sorry to be a annoying pain, but how did the Light Side get from 41 to 73 points in P7?

And the 15+15  points from the contest went to Q6, but there are only 15 points in the sector?

Not a pain at all. You actually found an error in my spreadsheet! There's supposed to be a check for whether scores have been posted or not and it's not functioning correctly. So you're see prelim numbers for this freebuild counted in the totals right now. I'll work on fixing that.

As for the points for Q6:

    Contest Specifics:

Each team will pick a starting point from a square they already control. The Dark Side can pick from O17, L10, M10, or N10. The Light Side can pick from P6 or H16. The Mercs can pick from T10, S10 or K5. Each team should post here which square they want to pick as their starting point by Jan 15th.

At the end of the challenge, using a random number generator, a route will be chosen and an end point 2 jumps from the starting square. Please consult the map for strategic reference. For example, if the Mercs choose K5 as their starting point it could be that the starting point would be Borosk and two jumps from there could be Qiilura in K7. Or if the Dark Side chose M10 as their starting point it could be that Kattada would be the starting point and two jumps from there could be Quellor in N12.

So 15 points got randomly assigned to Q6 at the end of the contest:

blogicon.png The Light Side, leaving from Phindar in P6, passed through Lucrazec and ended up in Arda in Q6. Their points will be placed in Q6.

    The Prizes:

    • At the end of the contest an end point will be chosen for each team. All MOCs entered for this contest will be assigned this square for XP. The team with the most points will gain an extra 25 XP to be placed where they choose. Second place will get 15 XP and 3rd place will get 10 XP. All extra XP should be placed within 2 weeks of the contest ending.

You chose to put the other 15 points in P7.

    Does that help?

Am I able to split them for R10 and R9?

I also thought I controled the kessel run? QR code is the map I am using...

Technically the Kessel Run doesn't matter under current rules. It's simple grid access or the 5 hyperspace lanes. Though that may be changing soon...

As for splitting, no, you have to put them all in one place. But you already control R9 so no real reason to put any there at this time.

    Hello @MKJoshA,

    Thanks for all the clarification.

There is still one thing I'm not sure about. The galaxy features billions of star systems, where the map is showing just "a few" of them. For example, if I'm going to build in K21, there are only 2 worlds mapped, but probably a 1000 others inhabitable in that square. Baseline: Can I invent a planet and place it into a specific square? Or does that contradict the rules aka no points?

    Best Regards

As Thaum said, it's fine to invent your own under the current rules. However, there are many existing planets and as we update the rules it'll be easier if you try to use existing ones. You can use a few tools like this Star Wars galaxy map. If you tool it to include the Grid you'll see a map like ours. You can also search on Wookiepedia for specific planets and going from there to see if you find any ones that might work in the same sector or system. Lastly, if you download our current version of the map you can zoom really far in. That'll show you most if not all current planets in a grid. K21 is off the beaten path so there really are only 2 known planets there.

Thanks for clarification, both of you.

I'll come back to you if I have further questions ;-)

    Best Regards

Just one thing to add, for storytelling you can build on any planet, but as others have said you team won't get points there if they don't have access. But inventing details for planets is totally fine. For example, if you want to build on Endor but don't have access you could take another planet that your team can access that doesn't have any details and make it look like Endor. It's all in the storytelling.

The team leaders board can be updated :pir-triumph:

@MKJoshA could you please look into the points tally of sector Q6. The 15 prize points are missing for the Light Side.

Sorry about the delay. I was waiting for Jody to answer with the details for the Mercs for that contest. I try to do all 3 teams bonus entries at once. But I put the Light and Dark sides through so it should show now.

For Duel of the Fates, how generous are we being with that 100 part count not including parts to "kit out your figures?"

For instance, I'm planning on doing a duel similar to how force master battles were described in the Thrawn Trilogy- these massive shows of whirling energy. Would a brick construct for a blast of energy or lightning coming out of the figure's hand not count towards the 100 parts? Would a swirl of energy around the figure's feet count, or transparent parts to launch them into the sky?

I'm assuming Yes, No, and No respectively, but I figure I should ask to make sure.

Hmm, that's a tricky one. Sorry I missed it before. It'll depend on how many pieces you use for the force effects. But you're correct with the Yes, No, No answers. Parts around the feet or trans clear parts to levitate a fig count towards the 100 parts. Parts connected to the hands, as long as it's not excessive, don't count towards the limit. If you're worried, send me a PM with a picture first.

Great idea for a contest! I'm really looking forward to getting my building on. I'm wondering though, because entries for the contest must be new builds, would a recolor of an existing build for the Sabine's Paint category count as a new build? I ask because I have designed MOCs of various Star Wars spacecraft and uploaded them to this site in the past, and I would keep the design from those MOCs, but only change the colors. Is that allowed or does the design of the ship have to be brand new?

Re-building an existing MOC in a new color would technically be allowed. But I encourage you to come up with something new.

"Only official LEGO elements should be used. Avoid third party parts or clone bricks."
no third party lighting i assume, lego light bricks only?

i ask because it looks like the coruscant example has third party lighting

Good catch. Yes, only Lego elements are allowed. The 3rd party lighting is just in the example and not evidence of an exception to the rule.

  9. "It's true... all of it" - Han Solo

I can't believe we're getting this insane, wacky wave. I love it! This is what I love about Lego Star Wars. The pure versatility of it in creating your own SW story is unparalleled. Bring it on.

I also want to join the many disappointed with the ISD. It's a good set. I just had my hopes set on a Death Star playset with tons of figs.

    Well in that case!

    duel of the fates.

At first glance, the two parties look obvious, rebels and empire.

The conflict is actually arising between a mix of rebels/imperials, and another group of the same.

provided my description explains the nature of the divide, is that fine?

    What you've described sounds fine

Sorry to be a pain, but one other thing relating to the above.

the ship i have in mind IS capable of flight in a vacuum...... when it is not in the state of disrepair i have in mind for my moc.
does the moc qualify if the ship is capable ON PAPER just not in the scene depicted

Ask all the questions you want, not a problem. If you build a derelict, decrepit, or crashed ship (like an X-Wing) that is normally capable of flying in space then you're good to go.

    Question for sabines catagory:

you say no greyscale, no greys whites or blacks.

is that a blanket ban on those three? or can there be VERY minimal use of the colour for mechanical detailing/weathering/damage?

50% or more of the ship needs to be a bright color. The other 50% or less can be grey, white or black.
