  1. Yeah, I think I like the Mutt hair on Han. I've always thought that the original hair was a little too conservative for the scoundral. It was as if he was the captain of the Millenium Accouting Office.

    Lool, I totally agree with you about how the hair is too conservative, too "clean"

    I would love to see Mutt's hair in reddish brown to match the original colour :wink: We would combine the best of both worlds there.

    :yoda:

  2. Well once again we're getting screwed on prices, come on lego these are too high :hmpf_bad:

    Hum actually I don't think its that bad at all !! Its pretty decent in fact.

    Let me take 1 non licence example. 7625 is the samre price as the City truck and forklift (7733) set.

    Indy has 4 figs, 1 vehicle, 1 zodiac and many accessories whereas the other has only 2 figs and a bigger vehicle sure.

    But Indy is a licence and has lot of dark green which I imagine would inflate the price.

    Really not bad at all :wink:

  3. We had a Formula 1 topic going last year, but it was started with only a couple races left in the season.

    Just got done watching the Spanish grand Prix. Ferrari is has really been on top of there game. Glad to see Lewis Hamilton is doing better since his horrible start last race.

    And I'm relieved to see that heiki is safe and sound after his crash at 230 km/h !!

    And I would loke to congratulate the French in this GP !! When a French driver crashes like a retard in a French car its really the Marks Brothers playing with small cars :tongue:

    This season is realy interesting !! Its not onl a 2 team competing and thats great !! BMW proved to have a fantastic car and Renault made great progress !!

    Its going to be hot in Turkey in 2 weeks !!

    F1 forever !!

    :yoda:

  4. Even though I am not a true WWW (sorry but for me WW stands for Worl War) fan, I did take that survey that I find very interesting !!

    On Q1 I voted it depends. I am not a fan per se but I'm always for good parts and Mfs.

    On Q2 I voted for the historical battles of the 1800 !! As a history fan I would love to recretate huge battlefields I visited like Manassas (or Bulls Run depending...) and so many US civil war sites.

    Thgat would be fantastic for army builders and would be perfect to have new sweet ships !!

    On Q3 I voted other. OK I am not a fan from the original line but I voted for army builders set !! Sure there are the blue cavalery dudes, but I'm really missing the guys in grey !!

    On Q4 I voted history buff. I loved those classical western movies and especially the Wild Bunch (the best of them all !!).

    On Q5 I voted cannons. I love those parts and I really miss them !!

  5. Wow I did not realize that at all :oh3:

    Since I just bought the 3 Indy sets today I opened that one yto take a comparison shot !! Tks for the pointer

    img_5768.jpg

    I used the flash to really show the details !! The new one (on top) has a longer barrel and sweeted details :wink:

    :yoda:

    Alex, can you confirm that the Uzi in this set and the one in the River Chase is new with the larger barrel and different body I specified in the Indy 2008 sets thread? I'm wondering if this was just a fluke... :sceptic:

    I just confirmed that :hmpf:

    :yoda:

  6. Alex, not to push you(you've done so much for us :blush: ) but would you agree that the Colonel's Uzi is a tad bit different than the Batman Uzis? I found this for myself...

    Wow I did not realize that at all :oh3:

  7. Yeay finally news !!

    Are we sure they are keychains and not bag charms ?? I hope its bag charm because I love its packaging :wink:

    I really love the landspeeder and the Slave 1 looks decent. On the other hand the JSF looks like real crap IMO, and like commented above, printed parts for that is really a lost of time and money !! I will still need to get those for the collection :tongue:

    :yoda:

  8. :yoda: I am sure the cloud city was only £70 in the UK. Are you sure it was €150!

    I am not sure but I remember that it was my first very expensive set (around the same time as the Falcon V2) and the Falcon was 150 !! Maybe CC was 140 but I'm sure it was more than 70£

    Anyone remember the correct price ??

    :yoda:

  9. EDIT: here is the list of eventees wnting one (its easy for me to keep the info here :wink: )

    * Morten x1 Done

    * Mike x10 (if possible) got 2 for now

    * Vader x1 Done

    * Rickard x2 Done

    * TT x1 Done

    * Dfenz x2 Done

    * Kim x2 Done

    OK guys I got the magnets I've cleaned them dry :laugh: They have some more but in the reserve so I'll need to go laters for Mike :wink:

    farnsworth.jpg

    Good news everyone !! The magnets were reduced to 7€ :thumbup: due to the production end !!

    :yoda:

  10. On the one hand I must disagree: I really doubt that TLG will include R2-D2 and C-3PO in the DS because they don't play that big role in this scene.

    you must disagree ?? How dare you !! :tongue:

    Sure they don't have a big role (more on that later on) but it would be a great opportunity to have a new R2 head (pearl or silver !!) + the new pearl gold 3PO :wink:

    On the other hand I agree with you: We surely will get Leia, Han and Luke (hopefully both in Stormtrooper outfits because that would make more sence than in there "normal" outfits). With Vader I'm not sure - but maybe.

    We will have a Vdaer, no question about that. Would be great to have one like Vader's custom :oh:

    If you ask me there surely will be included Leia, Han, Luke, Grand Moff Tarkin and two Stormies. With the other minifigs I'm not sure but I hope that TLG will show the same engagement with including many new minifig characters in the DS like they included in the CW sets :wink: !

    Can do but that would include no new figs and that is just unacceptable !! I do agree that the CW opened the way for fantastic new figs so there is hope there !!

    OK so what are the iconic scenes in the DS ?

    * Leia's rescue: rebel Leia, black imperial officer, probe droid and stormies

    * trash compactor scene: rebel Leia, Han & Luke in stormie disguise

    * Control room: 2 droids stop the trash compactor

    * runing to the falcon scene: grapple On !!

    * Obie vs Vader duel

    :yoda:

  11. 160-200 Euros :sceptic: ?! That would be very much money :oh: ! Hoperfully it then would be a really good designed set with nice details and with one or two DS Trooper(s) and a new Imperial Lieutnant/Commander/...!

    What other playsets we have to compare with ? Nothing except Cloud City (10123)

    If I remember it was 150€ for the time which was a lot !! And it had 4 new figs. 1 really new with Lando, a printed Boba and new outfits for Leia (+ hair) & Luke.

    Now what is safe to assume: we will have the classic figs such as R2, 3PO, Vader, Luke, Leia & Han (we sure hope for new outfits and whatever). That makes 6 figs already !! So what new figs can they add apart the DS trooper and another high ranking officer like you stated. And a set without stormies would be weird. So what should the MF count be then ? Around 10+ to be faithfull to the movie. And I doubt that can happen unless they up the price !! And that can easilly happen. Take the Sandcrawler for instance: 170€ and 11 figs :wink:

    :yoda:

  12. -I think that this re-designed set will be not cheaper than 60 € and not costlier than 105 € - the prices of last year's Hoth Base and RC.

    I think you are correct !! A cheap exclusive will not make any sense :wink:

    And since there is already the RGS in the expensive set, I bet its the correct price range.

    -A Millenium Falcon is very unlikely since there was the UCS version last year and a possible re-release of a minifig-scaled MF would be 150 € - and I don't think that TLG will release a set with this price since we'll already get the 10188 DS which surely will cost 150 € (and hopefully not more - but might be possible, too!).
    2. Does anybody know/Can anybody imagine how much the 10188 DS will cost? Do you think it'll be more than 150 € (the regular price for the last years' Exclusives like the AT-ST and the Imperial SD)?

    I really think we will have a Falcon redesign one day !! It will be a ROTJ version with Lando and will be bigger hehe. I would imagine around 200€ which would rock big time !! Am I daydreaming here ? Only time will tell :tongue:

    And regarding that DS I think it will be more than 150€ The AT-AT was 140 and if TLC wants to make bigger sets, I would imagine the price to be set between 160-200. They can go that high sonce it will be a real exclusive set :wink:

    -like :yoda: I think that there will be some or at least one Endor set(s) in 2009 - but I don't think earlier.

    I really think we'll have Endor BPs next january BUT I am far from disgarding the posibility of having an august/september exclusive set like the Hoth Base but with the Endor Bunker :wink:

    :yoda:

  13. GM :yoda: to Commander Jax

    While on Kashyyyk supervising the Empire's operations that are on a trict need to know basis, I intercepted some transmissions that totally displease me !!

    Report to my pimped SSD right away and bear in mind I have spies throughout the galaxy...

    End of transmission...

  14. Usually, first batches are pretty limited. What I don't want to have happen is for Walmart and TRU to release them earlier than May 1 (just out of the blue), then I'll go to look for them and they'll be sold out. 2nd batches always take a while longer to get in (at least from my experience).

    I totally agree with you. How many times have I se a very limited first batch and a long wait for regular stocking (usually like that with SW BPs) :sceptic:

    :yoda:
