Lego City 2026, Leaks, Rumours and Discussion
Powered by Bricks replied to Izzynufc-2's topic in LEGO Town
I would say it would be something like this: -Police- -Helicopter Chase -Police Dog Unit -Mobile Command Center(new tractor trailer style) -Fire- -Fire Boat -Fire Engine -Fire Helicopter -Construction- -Road Roller(big scale) -Exploration- -Possible release of the interactive jungle sets or possible expansion to the Deep Sea branch of explorers? -Great Vehicles- -Tractor -Space- The usual? This is more of a theory considering the currently available versions of the sets mentioned are going to be discontinued. I personally hope we actually get more buildings, a new hospital and harbour would be neat. I hope they don’t drag the space theme too much. A police station is uncertain to come as the brand thinks a outdated and practically incompatible police station is the one set they needed to keep producing. -
Not related to these recent discussions, but could we Fairground/Theme Park subtheme? In the current decade we’ve got 1 set for both themes (60313 and 60421). Currently the Theme Park sets are part of Creator 3in1 but Fairground hasn’t technically been part of a theme. One of my favorite sets ever is the 2014 Fairground Mixer and I sure would love to see a City version of it.

If we got more soapbox sets, we would have a bigger shelf time for the current ones, it's DEAD! No more! After June 2023 the City team ended the typical cycles for new sets. Nothing is as predictable as before. I think we might get a train sooner than usual, it wouldn't make sense to have a cargo train gone without a replacement. (Artic Train is a combo style of Train). We might get the trains sooner, if this year's police wave was released in June, then maybe the Trains can have a different release. But I hope we don't get another full wave of Space Sets, it's too much.

I just hope we get an actual fire engine this time. And is there a possibility we get a train in January? 60198 is set to retire December 31st, which is unusual for the wide release trains, and the Artic One is meant to replace 60336 so 60470 wouldn't be the next cargo train. As for the passenger train there's no public data showing it's retirement date. Edit:I find it unusual to see more police and fire sets in this post-2023 era, as Chris Stamp stated the Designer Team doesn't stand with the replacement ideas they once had with police and fire, so it might be full of newer ideas?

Probably not, soapbox sets are set to be removed by December 31st of this year. With what is set to be retired in the same date it seems we might get the following: -Harbour(maybe not a mix of things this time) -Cargo Train(Maybe for January, as this time it's retirement date is a bit earlier than usual) -Big D2c for June(City Tower but better?) -Big Fire Engine -Fire Boat -More Jungle Sets -More Buildings( most are getting retired except for the Police, Fire and Train Stations) -
So city 2025 was a focus on 5+ and 6+ sets. I have to agree I have more interest in the second half of sets. Also recently it was revealed the new Ambulance Plane was originally meant to be a passenger plane. With that in mind I ask, would you prefer a 3181 look-a-like instead or do you like the Ambulance plane better? Edit: I meant the 2010 Blue Plane, typo

The set idea looks odd. With the new images it's now known that this is an apartment building with very goofy and silly aspects. The set's description teases expansion with other sets but it's hard to figure out what sets are meant to combine with this? I'm not sure if this has some sort of connection with the Show. Odd to see a big d2c be a the most unusual mix of elements in an apartment building. The best thing out of this set for me is the double faces of the named characters. (sorry pigeon fans). When will we get something close to 60380? Or 60271?

There's definitely some potential inside this wave. As for police, the boat is the best out of the 3 sets coming. Tow Truck looks really good, even with another truck included. Artic Truck also looks great, bummer that the scenery isn't that sizeable aswell. Both Artic sets are nice. Ambulance Plane has everything a passenger plane has, not bad but the price isn't it! Bulldozer is not my favourite of the bunch but is a upgrade compared to other dozers we got. Train Station is definitely a upgrade in building design compared to 2022's take on a train station. Bummer that most buildings this year are part of Marvel and Creator, but with these new pieces we can expect some upgrades to past vehicles and a enhanced passenger jet.

I love the fact that the team is the same since 2023. The head prints stayed the same with new attire. The new Johnny Thunder reminds me of the 2003(?) Orient Expedition sets. Looks like their plan is to focus on the 3 best-selling explorer subthemes, maybe next year will focus on deep- sea, hopefully a cool underwater Base. And then 2027 gives us a big cargo plane and Expedition Camp in the Jungle. Final Note- 2024 Classic Jungle Johnny 2025-Artic Johnny 2026-Scuba Johnny?

Lower structure is the exact same as the 2024 tram, it's easy to just copy the design of the shell. I seriously hope the wacky additions are removable. Hell I'll insert the garages in my stations and count them as expansions. The spaceship seems nice on the top, so I won't bother. If the d2c is a no limits set, dear god what will happen to the next airport?

Would love to see a bigger wolf piece. Not a reshaped dog. The train is somewhat disappointing but on the other hand it features more scenery and originality, which I'm curious to see. Fateful doesn't state that the train features motor and battery, instead saying it can be "connected to a remote control". Not sure what that means. Either way none of the powered up components exist anymore, so maybe there's another train set? Also maybe the tower can be rearranged, the ramp on the right doesn't seem to be trapped within the structure of the tower, possibly being removable, and I think the same about the garages, who knows? But the normal building looks pristine without a doubt.

Weird mix of things, remove the garages and ramp off the main building and it would be better. It's clear this is the same bloody thing as they did 5 years ago with the Main Square, a huge set based off their series. I don't think it's bad but the mix is goofy. I'm just curious as to what the middle building is. Hope this no-limits clap-trap ends soon. It's clear this wave is focused on giving sets that fit well in the series and the values, action vehicles, and the least of buildings possible. The 2024-5 wave is 50-50 some amazing sets like the Lego truck and some not so good sets like the no limits ramp. Also both of the No-Limits sets feature a somewhat New-York Style design, right?
