Whooop! Well, I will be first in the queue. I've already done the cowling mod and I think the cockpit mod along with my 3 seat console would make it complete.
-
@Sebeus I wowzers! What a mod!!! I have just finished my build of this awesome set and have already started on modding my cockpit in order to house 3 minifigs. Not sure I will bother with the crew section below. REALLY want to implement the mods you made in relation to the bed area and gateway leading through to it. I can see roughly what pieces I need but would love to see more in the way you implemented it. Any chance of more shots with cockpit removed so I can see how this was done? If you ever think of making a pdf guide available I would gladly pay!

The future of Back to the Future

Thanks for the responses and glad to hear I should have no problem getting this set at some point. Really blew me away when I saw it. Also saw the Ecto 1 that day, and although that is also on my wishlist, the Delorean is first for me. -

Not been on here for a long time! Son fell out of love with Lego and I couldn't afford to buy any of the ones I was interested so moved on (making music has consumed my free time!). However, after a trip to the shops I spotted this in the window and knew I HAD to have it. However, none in store and none online (apart from the usual eBay sellers). Do any of you knowledgeable eurobrickers know the likelihood of this being made again? I have activated the email reminder from Lego store and noted that it stated 'temporarily' out of stock but I want this sooooooo bad! -
That twitter link is the first time I have seen the new MF. Looks good, pity I ain't got the money to fling around. The cockpit/tunnel looks a bit jarring to me, like it doesn't belong on that model. A bit bare.
-
Maybe the second big set will be around £200 for those of use who can't afford or don't want the MF.
-
Woooh! Cloud City!!!!!
-
Nobody has said that before. A landscape would definitely bump up the piece count.
-
For me, Mos Eisley UCS with a ton of minifigs is right up there with Cloud City UCS as a major WANT.
-
Amen to that!
-
I remember seeing 4 figs in the TFA MF, so if it can be done at that scale it can defo be done with this one.
-
Just imagine, if you will, that THIS is the UCS and NOT the MF!
-
Well said Tidy!
-
I won't be getting the MF cos my budget and conscience wont allow it but am happy for those who can. What I am most happy about though is that this should be a shot in the head for those disgusting ebayers trying to sell a now obsolete lego MF for £2,000. But....just means they will be replaced with others selling this MF when it too is retired.
-
Yes, we see the old UCS Falcon sealed in ebay at £2,000+ but has ANYONE bought one at that price? Same with the Sandcrawler at over £350, does anyone buy them at that price? I reckon these people just keep relisting in the hope some mug buys it.
-
Trust me, I was! Was actually selling for £70 but was cheeky enough to offer £60 as the seller was a 90 minute drive away! Set is mint, even included free poster and spares! Things like this only happen once in a blue moon.
-
What's wrong with the old Gunship. Picked one up for £60 including all minifigs. Great build, playability and cracking Padme minifig.

Surely not the MF....again! -
Have checked Toys R Us web to no avail. Prob have to phone round all their stores! I bought two Slave 1 UCS's (one for me to display, and one for my son when he is older). Might keep his one sealed (doesn't know I bought it) then sell when retired to fund Sandcrawler as I am sure he would enjoy that more.
-
UK or US?
-
I love UCS but dislike the price. I got the Republic Gunship (was that a UCS?) For £60 which is much more my price range! Got lucky with that one. I have Slave 1 which I did buy new, because I wanted it sooo badly and new I woukd never get it at a low price. Next up for me would be the Sandcrawler but just cant justify the £300+ to buy new. Even 2nd hand is £200+.

So glad this thread has been resurrected as I missed it first time round. The new UCS version wont be a patch on this! So glad you generously included the details on how to recreate the small version. Must brincklink it for my son.

I have a love/hate relationship with your reviews Makoy. I love the way you write and the detail you give. However, I hate the fact that after every review I then want to buy the set. As other have mentioned, this wasn't in my want list, but sits there now!

Perhaps it is a UCS Cargo Ship!
