    [MOC] Karl Lagerfeld

I would like to present my latest built - the famous German fashion designer with his beloved cat - Choupette, which allegedly became a millionaire after his owner died in February 19th 2019. This MOC is inspired by the famous KL logo and keeps LEGO BrickHeadz style in terms of size and proportions, although technically it's very different from the original BH series. I will be greatful for your comments. Thank you for watching! Karl Lagerfeld 1 by Krzysztof J, on Flickr Karl Lagerfeld 2 by Krzysztof J, on Flickr

    [MOC] The Bath

Hello Everyone! :) Relaxing, chilling, sensual in a slightly vintage climat - these were my goals while making this MOC. To what extent I have managed to achieve them - please judge for yourselves. :) I'll be grateful for your comments! Thank you for visiting and watching the photos! Thank you! This is what I like about building - curved lines and angles other than 90 degrees. A bathtub and a women seemed to be perfect objects to practice that. :)

    [MOC] Niki Lauda

Thank you :) This built plus your comment made me go back to what happand on 1st May 1994 and day before… Two fatal accidends on Imola circuit: Roland Ratzenberger and the next day Ayrton Senna… And this year marked the 25th anniversary of this tragic (probably the worst in the whole F1 history) weekend… I'm not sure if I ever make an attempt to commemorate Senna in LEGO form, but this driver surely deserves remembering.

    [MOC] Niki Lauda

To commemorate one of the greatest Formula 1 drivers of all time! The three-time F1 world champion (years 1975, 1977, 1984) - Niki Lauda! He died just month ago... I hope that you like this BrickHeadz style commemoration of this person. :) Niki Lauda 1 by Krzysztof J, on Flickr Niki Lauda 2 by Krzysztof J, on Flickr Niki Lauda 3 by Krzysztof J, on Flickr

    [MOC] Luciano Pavarotti

Thank you very much for your comments! I'm really glad you find this character recognizable :)
  13. Hello! Although the BrickHeadz theme may seem a bit out of date, let me introduce one more built in this style (which I have bent a bit of course) - one of the greatest tenors in history: Luciano Pavarotti. I will be greatful for all comments :) Thank you for viewing! Pavarotti BH by Krzysztof J, on Flickr

    [MOC] Luciano Pavarotti

Thank you for your comments! koalayummies, jimmynick - I'm really glad that you like this work. It's also good to hear that bending the BrickHeadz standards, which I make sometimes, brings good results. Mylenium - Thank you for your essential comment! It looks you have expert knowledge about Pavarotti. I also make a thorough study of the character I'm about to recreate in the BrickHeadz form. However, I still want this to remain a BrickHead, which makes it necessery to simplify certain elements. It's a kind of balancing between keeping the BH standards and bending them to make the figurine more characteristic. So I try to emphasise the most typical emelments, while some details have to be left out. As regards proportions, I am aware that Pavarotti was probably twice as big. But an inherent feature of this caricature is an unnaturally small torso compared to the head. So, what I actually did was making the torso larger then its usual size, which still means it is out of proportion to the head. But this is intentional. I like however the idea of using the minifig ponytail as the napkin. I had a problem to choose the right part for this purpose. The feather seemed okey, but I also try using the part you suggest.

    [MOC] The Cellist

beverly888, thank you for your comment. Making all those natural curves of both women and the cello was a very demanding task. But it was also very exciting :)

  21. Ski jumping may not be as popular as football, nevertheless the winter season and especially the forthcomming winter olympic games are good reasons to pay some attention to winter sports. Among all the winter disciplines it is the ski jumping that I like most. So, with respect to the bravery of the guys up on the hill and also to celebrate the great success of Kamil Stoch (Poland), who won this year's Four Hills Tournament in a great style - winning all four hills as the second jumper in history, after Sven Hannavald (Germany), I have built this little figurine. Technically it differs a bit from official BrickHeadz, but the size and proportions are about the same. Depicting individual features of a ski jumper in this form is very difficult but this little scene presents the abovementioned Kamil Stoch during a perfect landing:) Kamil Stoch (1) by Krzysztof J, on Flickr Kamil Stoch (2) by Krzysztof J, on Flickr Thank you for viewing!
  22. Congratulations to Kamil Stoch for winning the gold medal in PyeongChang!
  23. Hello, This time I would like to present a BrickHeadz style version of a well-known character, which I made some time ago - Abraham Lincoln:) This little scene is inspired by the famous Gettysburg Address, which took place in 1863. 25. Hello, There's still a couple of BrickHeadz in my little collection that I'd like to share with you:) This time I've chosen an icon of reggae - Bob Marley! This figurine was made a few months ago, and was sort of experiment with the way of modelling the hair. I hope you will like the effect:) Bob Marley by Krzysztof J, on Flickr Thanks for viewing!
