Promobricks just confirmed they'll release news about the Winter 2024 Ninjago wave next. (They've just released Star Wars 2024 info with set names, prices, and piece counts.) Really excited. Wonder if we'll get a Season 2 wave, or something else for Winter.

No idea what's going on there. If it had released last year, they would've called it Batmobile: Harley Quinn and Mr. Freeze Face-off or Batman Animated TV Series Batmobile. Those sound much better than a whole sentence describing what you see on the box.

What is up with those set names tho? Batman with the Batmobile vs. Harley Quinn and Mr. Freeze? Batman Construction Figure and the Bat-Pod Bike? Someone please tell LEGO that set names should be catchy titles, and not sentences describing everything you can see on the box.

Well, glad we at least have a wave this year. There's still the 4+ set, which might make this the most random wave for a theme of all time — a small mech for a character that doesn't use mechs, a highly requested vehicle based on an animated series, and a buildable figure with a vehicle based on another movie. The mech looks cool, but I don't really care about it. The bike with the buildable figure is a huge whatever. The Batmobile set is fantastic tho. The build looks great in most places — I love the colour, the overall look, and the display plate. The stud shooters were really unnecessary, but I'm glad they're easy to remove. The hole in the back of the cockpit is annoying. The minifigures are awesome too — Batman looks great, surprised they kept the dual-moulded legs. No idea why they're switching to rubber capes tho, not a big fan of those. Harley Quinn is the same, very good looking minifigure. Mr. Freeze needed more details on his limbs. At the very least they should've changed his hips to blue. Well, the way I see it, one amazing affordable DC set in a single year is more than enough to satisfy me at this point.

Really interesting to see that they aren't cancelling the Legacy magazine, but turning it into another regular Ninjago one. I guess that means that we'll be getting twice as many Dragons Rising minifigures in magazine, and I'm all for it.

Haven't enjoyed Ninjago this much since 2018 with Hunted. The new series is fantastic. Except for the best Ninjago era (Seasons 4–6), I think that the theme has never been better. The sets are (mostly) fantastic, and the new villain factions are unique. Imperium is easily one of the best looking ones in the history of this theme imo.

While I think the set itself is quite well-built and coherent... Who is this even for? Like genuinely, why would anyone buy this? It's targeted towards kids, but it doesn't really have any play features. It acts as a light display piece, but I'm not sure if weird cubes are a good core idea for a display set. It doesn't even feel targeted towards Inside Out or Pixar fans. The minidolls are a turn-off to 97% of adult fans, while the kids won't find the lack of characters or play features particularly appealing.

At least this topic is alive thanks to all the nonsense we're discussing — it's not like there's anything else. How much can one say about vague descriptions of four sets? We've gone the exact same route r/BatmanArkham has. No new content, so we delve deeper and deeper into madness.

I mean... that's basically it. Marvel has just sold much better in the recent years. Even last year, which was probably Marvel's worst year yet, they still easily outsold major DC flops like Shazam, The Flash, or Blue Beetle. Let's just hope Gunn manages to revive the love for DC with his DCU. If not, then the future of this theme is dim.

May 1st, which means we could see it any day now. For example, all the May Star Wars sets have leaked recently.

New information about 71814 Tournament Temple City, the 250€ June set, has surfaced. The build is a dark blue temple with a smaller building on either of its sides. There is a small bridge and also a dragon included. Around 14 minifigs, including Wu, Lloyd, Wyldfyre, Cole, Zane, Arin, Nya, and five civilians.

I really like this list. Of course it all depends on the execution and what the sets are based on, but the choices are definitely interesting. Buildable Bumpy sounds really cool, I love buildable dinosaurs. Stegosaurus set is rather reasonably priced. It would be cool if it was based on The Lost World. I definitely like the colour scheme that was chosen for the T-Rex. A trailer sounds like it could be a good build.

The buildable Droideka is rather well done. The minifig scale one looks absolutely awful tho. The price is too high — 50€ would've been much more reasonable than 65€. The diorama is... mediocre, I guess. Definitely the most sauceless one we've got yet. The build is okay, but I genuinely have no idea who this was made for. Why would anyone be willing to pay 80€ for a microscale Podracing diorama?

Reading that felt like having a stroke. Like, what? LEGO DC Luigi's Pizzeria with an exclusive Luigi minifigure, with Scarecrow and Carmine Falcone hiding in the... pizzeria's basement? What was he cooking?

The Acolyte trailer tomorrow. Really curious to see if we get sets for this series, as we haven't heard anything yet.

After collecting my thoughts on the set, I have to say I absolutely love it. The build is extremely impressive — there's so much going on, bit it never feels messy or incoherent. The front looks fantastic with the colorful tavern, the detailed landscape, and a huge tower with a wall in the back. The interior is packed with various rooms and hidden details. The minifigures are awesome too — big variety of races and classes, lots of new prints, interesting accessories. The Beholder looks incredible, and I also love the addition of a Gelatinous Cube. The Dragon looks very impressive and really unique (where are its eyes tho?). I've seen some complaints that the original set was much better because of a unified colour scheme, which I don't really get — isn't the DnD aesthetic about the variety, all unique characters and locations somehow blending seamlessly? I'll take a colorful set anyday over a one using only green, grey and brown.

Evil Jay looks so raw. Love that minifigure. Looks different, but in a very good way. Interested to see how he's incorporated into the series.

That's... not how it works. The Batman 2 would've come out three months after Superman. Now, compare those movies: The script for Superman has been completed months ago. Various major and minor characters have been cast all over the last and current year. We also got a lot more smaller tidbits of information. The Batman 2 has a... "far from complete" script.

Yes, it looks exactly like it should. Much better than the generic mask LEGO gave us. Hope they fix it in two years (they probably won't).

Bruh, where do you get all these random opinions? LEGO easily could make as many sets for DC as for Marvel — they just don't want to.

As much as I love the sets (the minifigure selection was really weird tho), I just can't get over how bad the Batman minifigure is. Innacurate mask. Inaccurate face print. No arm printing. No leg dual-moulding. Innacurate cape. No collar. Also, but that's more of a personal preference, I think gunmetal grey would've worked better than dark grey. Really hope they fix it next year.
