Lol, they don't owe you or anyone an explanation. It was an unannounced, in-production set that they simply cancelled. LEGO deserves a lot of criticism these days, but this ain't it.

Sure people were complaining, you just didn't care to listen because you were 8 years old and generally not privy to discourse about problematic depictions on non-white people in cinema. I mean, yeah, it's racist and poorly designed, but they're only thinking of that now?! Personally I couldn't care less, but it is kinda strange and stupid how far into production sets can go these days before they're being pulled. And I agree that it's odd that they're drawing the line at racist caricatures (which is good- and anyone who disagrees can go to hell), but they're not above creating a Nazi warplane?

Man, that sure is a mixed bag (pun intended). Oswalt is kinda weird, Pinocchio and Jiminy Cricket creep me out, I never really liked LEGO Mickey (and I feel like at this point the should've given him mid-sized legs already), Tiana and the witch-doctor-guy look fine (that hair pieces looks really inaccurate, but I get it, they're using her to release an underrepresented hairstyle, so that's fine). Out of the second row they're all fine as well, with the exception of the Queen of Hearts, who also creeps me out. Really excited for the dead guy in the middle though. Also kinda funny how they just threw in a bunch of leaves with Pocahontas. I don't get why Disney is pushing a character like Cruella as hard as they do, her whole motivation was always that she wanted to have a coat made out of puppies, that's no fun at all! Figure is fine, but whatever. Robin Hood and Prince John look awkward, Stich is fine, though they should've included four guns and maybe made a new mould to show his antennae. Baymax looks nightmarish somehow. Massive shame, I was really looking forward to him. Also, can y'all identify the arms? I feel like I've seen them before. (EDIT: Nightmarish seems like an overreaction, looking at him a little more he's fine, I'm just not sure about those arms, might just replace them with regular white arms myself) And the Evil Queen is fine as well. Her release in this without Snowwhite anywhere has me thinking that potential leaked set is definitely happening within a year. Overall, some really strange choices. I mean, a figure sized Jiminy Cricket? The Queen of Hearts (I get that she's accompanying Alice and the Cheshire Cat, but those released a long time ago! Wouldn't be surprised if she was the least popular figure)? Pocahontas (which also feels gross considering she's based on a real person)? And again; Cruella?!

Glad to hear it. Though it is really sad how believable it is that they would charge 7 bucks for a single figure, and even sadder is that I know, they know, we all know, people would buy them like the suckers we are. Unfortunately that day will come soon enough (I know they already tried 20 bucks that with the Vidiyo boxes, but everyone knows those didn't sell)

Excuse my language everyone, but these rumours sound like a bunch of baloney! I mean, mechs? A giant buildable Chewbacca? A €7 CMF?! (Actually, I can see that last one happening, but I don't want to) That said, we have seen stranger leaks this month, so who knows. Is the source reputable?

Hey y'all. I haven't been keeping up to date with what's going on with PAB, I just know that they're releasing pieces months after they show up in sets now. So does anyone have any idea when the purple classic space helmet and purple air tanks hit the site (in Europe)?

Well, there they are... And at first glance... they're not good. Looks like they really rushed and cheaped out on these sets. There's a total of 2 new torso and 2 new leg prints across three sets. And the cockpits don't get prints either. At least Rocket finally gets a headprint without goggles. I really hate that they used a Friends mould for little Rocket. The Friends animals always looked too smooth and rounded for LEGO to me. Also, Gamora is missing again. Is there some anti-Gamora agenda going on at LEGO? Groot is there, but yeah no Cosmo! Which is even worse than no Gamora (because at least they've released her before)! Is it just these three sets? Really a shame these are the sets to this movie, likely the last superhero film I'll be excited for in a long, long time. Maybe ever, honestly.

Honestly y'all? Overnight I've grown very bitter about this set. When you look at the original sets you could get the whole fellowship, and a bunch of additional figures for less than €200 worth of sets, now we got to pay more than double for a set they've massively overpriced just because they can? Because it's the only thing they chose to offer? Seriously reconsidering if I want this set at all. Sure it would be nice to finally complete my fellowship after all these years, but this is about principle and sending a message with my money that this direction LEGO is heading in is not one I want to follow.

Oh man. F***! G*d damn it! Those a**holes really want to bleed us dry, don't they? Sorry, it's just- that it feels like a rip-off. Most MSRPs do nowadays. And as far as we know, the only other LotR set on the horizon is another huge set. It just hurts. Guess I'm gonna have to start setting aside 30 bucks a month from now on and maybe even sell some stuff. "Luckily" the Indiana Jones sets turned out to be a skippable disappointment. Hopefully they rest of the year won't feature anything nearly as cool as Rivendell, but it's only February, so who knows!

Y'all are reading too much into the painting being there, it's not supposed to be a tease. It's a fairly prominent part of the location, it makes sense they'd include it in Rivendell.

Oh, cool, they gave Gimli some hair as well! Are those pieces that make up the plinth the ring sit upon new? I could swear I've seen them in something else recently, but I'm not sure. Ha, of course it's a Mike Psiaki! Best designer they got right now, by far. Really looking forward to building it now.

Promobricks say they haven't heard anything about exclusivity or a GWP. So no news and good news. EDIT: Brothers-Brick says there is a GWP, but it's just some Brickheadz, lol.

Lol, they gave Frodo additional pieces so he can sit. Gandalf and Elrond as well. It looks like they've created a new weapon accessory pack like for Ninjago sets. With that and Aragorn not being in his most recognisable outfit would make you think there are more sets on the way, and 5 years ago there may have been. But now I don't think so and I can only say; what a shame.

I had the same thought. Also, Aragorn is not in travel gear, so I'll have to get that figure as well :/ That and Legolas hair especially.

Well, there it is. Not loving all the figures. I especially dislike the new Elf hair. But it is a nice set.

Same. I hate the void boxes. They really suck the fun out of seeing sets on shelves. Half the LEGO Store is just a black wall now :(
